The study primarily aims to explore how in the future, block chain technology will alter several areas of the Indian economy. The current study aims to obtain a deeper understanding of blockchain technology's idea and implementation in India, as well as the technology's potential as a disruptive financial technological innovation. Secondary sources such as reports, journals, papers, and websites were used to compile all the data. Current and relevant information were utilised to help understand the research goals. All the information is rationally organised to fulfil the objectives.     The Next Wave of CRM Innovation: Implications for Research, Teaching, and Practice

    Globalization and customers’ ever-changing needs have created a hyper-competitive market. As a result, customer relationship management (CRM) has become a core topic of interest among both practitioners and academics. Further, over the years, with the advancements in the technology landscape, such as digital technologies, CRM has improved in myriad ways. This paper summarizes a panel discussion on CRM innovations held at the 2016 Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS 2016) in Chiyai, Taiwan. The panel discussed CRM fundamentals and how traditional CRM systems work in organizations. Then, the panel focused on the advancement in technology landscape such as big data, analytics, Internet of things, and artificial intelligence and how such technologies have transformed innovations in the CRM landscape. Finally, the panel highlighted the limitations in the current CRM curricula in the universities and how the curriculum today needs to reflect such advancements to enhance the union between the CRM curricula and the industry needs. Further, this paper provides future research ideas for academia and contributes to research interests on CRM in general

    The social enterprise movement in Malaysia is gathering its momentum. An increasing number of social entrepreneurs are taking an interest in this field of activity. Indirectly, this scenario increases the awareness of its significance and, in a range of viewpoints, promotes the social business experience in Malaysia. This article is an explanatory study which indicates the awareness of social business in Malaysia. The literature review was conducted from library research and website sources. It is divided into three sections: (i) definitions of social business, (ii) operating models for social enterprise in Malaysia, and (iii) definitions of social media and its development, and the awareness of young people on social business in relationship with social media in general. The first section begins with various definitions and interpretations of the term ‘social enterprise’, while the second part provides an operating model for social enterprises that are active in Malaysia as well as in relation to the market and potential beneficiaries. The third part is a discussion on social media by looking at definitions and the development of social business in Malaysia in general. With this explanation, it is hoped that the awareness of using social media in social business can be highlighted in better perspectives

    Marketing in Online Businesses:The Case of Migrant Entrepreneurial Businesses in the UK

    The study presents an empirical investigation of the marketing activities undertaken by online businesses owned by migrant entrepreneurs and is framed by the theoretical lens of entrepreneurial marketing. Key informant interviews are undertaken with 22 entrepreneurs operating online businesses in the UK and augmented by other sources of data. The study finds that the resources available to the entrepreneurs are shaped by their migrant heritage and that they draw on these resources to market their online businesses. The study also finds that, consistent with notions from entrepreneurial marketing, the online nature of their businesses allow the entrepreneurs to meet their own needs and preferences, which are also shaped by their migrant heritage. The study is important since it provides empirical evidence and a theoretically grounded understanding of how online businesses offer migrant entrepreneurs the opportunity to break out of the low growth, low margin, vacancy chain openings and enter high growth, high margin, post-industrial sectors

    This paper explores innovations around mobile applications, globally, and brings out the scope for monetization of these trends, by Indian Application Developers. The paper is based on qualitative research and utilizes Content Analysis Technique for tabulating and reporting the data. A thorough literature review has been conducted to understand the innovations around mobile applications globally and to identify the top 5 categories of mobile applications. These categories serve as variables for understanding the scope for Indian mobile application developers. Data on Indian Mobile application market has been sourced from mass media: Top 3 English newspapers (Indian) and 6 online sources. Recommendations for Indian developers have been generated on the basis on data which was reported under 5 identified categories of mobile applications. Scope for Indian Mobile application developers is in (but not limited to) the following areas; Developing cloud enabled applications, developing customised Indian applications, working on innovations based on global acceptability through multi-language apps., synchronising data with backend systems and addressing security threats, reducing costs through prudent locations and newer API’s (Application Programming Interface), beta testing applications and appropriate keyword tagging for marketing and making applications oriented towards customer delight so that in the process of diffusion of the innovation, the application becomes an integral part of the customer’s life. Methodical content analysis brings out the scope for Indian application developers and offers them valuable insights on monetization tactics. Since the findings are based on published data from Indian Mass Media, it makes the paper very contemporary and the recommendations very implementable for the industry. Academicians working in this area too, will also find an avenue for further exploration. This research work is distinctive because of the lack of scholarly studies in this area, especially in the Indian context. Data from mass media and use of content analysis – a widely used qualitative analytic method for a scholarly study, increases its value by making the work recent, contemporary and worthy of further scholarly explorations
