the Main charactersâ restlessness of Life in Virginia Woolfâs novel mrs Dalloway: a new criticism study
The thesis aims to analyze the main charactersâ restlessness in the story. The main charactersâ restlessness is the theme of the story. The writer focuses on the formal elements of plot and character and relates it to the theme of restlessness. The objective of the problem is to describe the formal elements of plot and character which relate to the main charactersâ restlessness in Virginia Woolfâs novel entitled Mrs. Dalloway. The research study uses new criticism theory by Tysonâs book. The main data is taken from Virginia Woolfâs novel entitled Mrs. Dalloway and the supporting data are taken from Tysonâs book to analyze formal elements of character and plot, other literary books, journals, thesis and internet sources to support the data. The research study uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze the novel. It emphasizes the description and explanation of the data. The writer also conducts library research in this research. The research study finds that in Virginia Woolfâs novel entitled Mrs. Dalloway, the main charactersâ restlessness are caused by many factors such as love, monotonous marriage, memory of the past, unpredictable future, the traumatic experience, the shell-shocked of the War I and the society pressure. The research study also finds that formal elements of character and plot relate to the theme of restlessness. It can be concluded that the main charactersâ restlessness can be seen clearly through the main charactersâ action, speech and thought. The main charactersâ restlessness affects their life and creates their action, thought and feeling. All of the main charactersâ restlessness can be seen in every phases of the plot. The formal elements of plot and character create a unity and relate to the theme of restlessness
Institutions, social capital and economic development in Latin America
Economic theory has proposed and discussed a lot of possible factors or explanations that promote or foster economic development. One of these gathers specific discussions from other Social Sciences, incorporating social, cultural, religious, institutional and political dimensions â and among them, the idea of 'social capital'. Although the discussion held by Putnam on the benefits of association, civic involvement and interpersonal trust is extremely rich, this paper incorporates the discussion advocated by the World Bank, and the central ideas of Woolcock and Narayan papers, since they extend the scope of analysis, making what is called 'synergic vision' of social capital. These authors consider that 'social capital does not exist in a political vacuum', ie there is no way to separate the elements that characterize the social and the political and institutional elements that surround it. The âcommunity social capitalâ of Putnam cannot be understood without the macro-environment in which it operates. Then this paper aims to explain the economic behavior in Latin America, considering the importance of the attributes directly related to social capital (interpersonal trust, which leads to the association and the civic involvement) pari passu governance, ie the formal attributes related to the action of the state, which establishes social, political and economic behavior. It wants to explain if these two dimensions are correlated in order to explain the behavior of agents in different economies in Latin America and their economic development.

Wujud Kebudayaan Jepang Pada Masa Restorasi Meiji Yang Tergambar Pada Film Rurouni Kenshin Karya Keishi Otomo
ABSTRACT
Utomo, Fajar Pambudi. 2019. "Japanese Cultural Manifestation in the Meiji Restoration Period Seen in the Rurouni Kenshin Film by Keishi Otomo". A thesis of Japanese Departement, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisor : Yuliani Rahmah, S.Pd., M.Hum dan Arsi Widiandari, SS., M.Si.
The material object of this study is a live action film Rurouni Kenshin sequel 1 to 3. While the formal object in this study is a discuss the narrative elements of the film and discuss the depictions of Japanese culture in the Meiji restoration. This study used theory of narrative theory of film by Himawan Pratista, and theory of cultural manifestations by J.J Honigman.
The purpose of this study is to find out the narrative elements of the film which includes the actors, plot, space, and time. In addition, to find out the manifestation of Japanese culture in the Meiji restoration which included ideas, activities, and artifacts. The results of this study reveal the manifestation of Japanese culture during the Meiji restoration in the film Rurouni Kenshin.

Communicating, learning and the in-between: a study of the impact of open-access, informal online learning environments
1. The broad aim of this project has been to contribute understandings of the uses of computer-mediated communication in 'informal' (not leading to certification) yet institutionally-hosted online spaces. The project consisted of an investigation into engagement with communication and discussion tools provided by OpenLearn, the Open University's Open Content Initiative (http://www.open.ac.uk/openlearn).
2. The research focused on a selection of examples of asynchronous and synchronous communication situations within OpenLearn, including a selection of forums from the LearningSpace (http://openlearn.open.ac.uk) and various instances of synchronous communication using FM (FlashMeeting) that took place within the context of two pilot studies organised by the researcher in coordination with discipline-based colleagues.
3. Whilst the research was based on an action research orientation, the approach was predominantly exploratory and ethnographic methods (observation and participant observation) were used, complemented with semi-structured interviews, as appropriate. Thematic analysis was used within a grounded theory approach.
4. The study suggests 5 themes as core elements of engagement in CMC within an OER context: 'validationĂŻÂżÂœ; 'privacyĂŻÂżÂœ; 'trustĂŻÂżÂœ; 'purposefulnessĂŻÂżÂœ; 'leadership'. The themes are mutually-dependent and each warrants more detailed investigation, and relevant topics are discussed.
5. In short, the study provides a contribution to enquiries on the impact of OERs in that it brings to light, from within a sample of learning situations across the 'informalĂŻÂżÂœ/ĂŻÂżÂœformal' space, a number of boundary issues concerning curriculum and, in particular, pedagogy. It suggests that a major aspect of the impact of OERs is that their availability is not only creating new challenges but also uncovering previously veiled tensions and questions regarding identity and boundaries.
6. A number of outputs have been generated, including two new projects that capitalise on understandings facilitated during the pilots carried out within the remit of this study
Consideraciones históricas para la enseñanza de la derivada
Some methods that were developed throughout history to find derivatives from Apolonio de Perga to Cauchy are presented, then itineraries are proposed for the introduction of the derivative in the curriculum: addressing positions of the theory of Action, Process, Object and Scheme (APOE) and the tools proposed by the known as the Onto-Semiotic Approach (OSA), for elements of the derivative before the limit and limits before derivatives. From these, semiotic representations are proposed that allow to approach the derivative (numerical, algebraic, formal, geometric, infinitesimal, local, variational and computational related approximation). Finding that the concept as taught today does not coincide with the development of its genesis and that a way of understanding the concept of derivatives from the use of treatments and conversions of registers of representation.
