A Decision Method for Online Purchases Considering Dynamic Information Preference Based on Sentiment Orientation Classification and Discrete DIFWA Operators

Š 2013 IEEE. Online reviews are crucial for evaluating product features and supporting consumers' purchase decisions. However, as a result of online buying behaviors, consumer habits, and discrete dynamic distribution characteristics of online reviews, and consumers typically randomly choose a limited number of reviews from discrete time frames among all reviews and give more weight to recent review information and less weight to earlier information to support their online purchase decisions; moreover, existing studies have ignored the discrete random dynamic characteristics and dynamic information preferences of consumers. To address this issue, this paper proposes a method based on sentiment orientation classification and discrete DIFWA (DDIFWA) operators for online purchase decisions considering dynamic information preferences. In this method, we transformed review texts from original discrete time slices to discrete random features, extracted product features based on the constructed feature and sentiment dictionaries, and matched pairs of features and sentiment phrases in the dictionaries. We subsequently employed three types of semantic orientation by defining semantic rules to extract the product features of each review. Of note, the semantic orientations were transformed from discrete time to semantic intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information matrixes. Furthermore, we proposed two DDIFWA operators to aggregate the dynamic semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information. Specifically, we obtained the rankings of alternative products and their features to support consumers' purchase decisions using the intuitionistic fuzzy scoring function and the 'vertical projection distance' method. Finally, comparisons and experiments are provided to demonstrate the plausibility of our methods

Š 2019 by the authors. Q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) is a powerful tool to describe uncertain information in the process of subjective decision-making, but not express vast objective phenomenons that obey normal distribution. For this situation, by combining the q-ROFS with the normal fuzzy number, we proposed a new concept of q-rung orthopair normal fuzzy (q-RONF) set. Firstly, we defined the conception, the operational laws, score function, and accuracy function of q-RONF set. Secondly, we presented some new aggregation operators to aggregate the q-RONF information, including the q-RONF weighted operators, the q-RONF ordered weighted operators, the q-RONF hybrid operator, and the generalized form of these operators. Furthermore, we discussed some desirable properties of the above operators, such as monotonicity, commutativity, and idempotency. Meanwhile, we applied the proposed operators to the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem and established a novel MADM method. Finally, the proposed MADM method was applied in a numerical example on enterprise partner selection, the numerical result showed the proposed method can effectively handle the objective phenomena with obeying normal distribution and complicated fuzzy information, and has high practicality. The results of comparative and sensitive analysis indicated that our proposed method based on q-RONF aggregation operators over existing methods have stronger information aggregation ability, and are more suitable and flexible for MADM problems

An Extended TODIM Method for Group Decision Making with the Interval Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

    Get PDF
For a multiple-attribute group decision-making problem with interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets, a method based on extended TODIM is proposed. First, the concepts of interval intuitionistic fuzzy set and its algorithms are defined, and then the entropy method to determine the weights is put forward. Then, based on the Hamming distance and the Euclidean distance of the interval intuitionistic fuzzy set, both of which have been defined, function mapping is given for the attribute. Finally, to solve multiple-attribute group decision-making problems using interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets, a method based on extended TODIM is put forward, and a case that deals with the site selection of airport terminals is given to prove the method

Interest in group decision-making (GDM) has been increasing prominently over the last decade. Access to global databases, sophisticated sensors which can obtain multiple inputs or complex problems requiring opinions from several experts have driven interest in data aggregation. Consequently, the field has been widely studied from several viewpoints and multiple approaches have been proposed. Nevertheless, there is a lack of general framework. Moreover, this problem is exacerbated in the case of experts’ weighting methods, one of the most widely-used techniques to deal with multiple source aggregation. This lack of general classification scheme, or a guide to assist expert knowledge, leads to ambiguity or misreading for readers, who may be overwhelmed by the large amount of unclassified information currently available. To invert this situation, a general GDM framework is presented which divides and classifies all data aggregation techniques, focusing on and expanding the classification of experts’ weighting methods in terms of analysis type by carrying out an in-depth literature review. Results are not only classified but analysed and discussed regarding multiple characteristics, such as MCDMs in which they are applied, type of data used, ideal solutions considered or when they are applied. Furthermore, general requirements supplement this analysis such as initial influence, or component division considerations. As a result, this paper provides not only a general classification scheme and a detailed analysis of experts’ weighting methods but also a road map for researchers working on GDM topics or a guide for experts who use these methods. Furthermore, six significant contributions for future research pathways are provided in the conclusions. The first author acknowledges support from the Spanish Ministry of Universities [grant number FPU18/01471]. A method to multi-attribute decision making with picture fuzzy information based on Muirhead mean

    Get PDF
The recently proposed picture fuzzy set (PFS) is a powerful tool for handling fuzziness and uncertainty. PFS is character-ized by a positive membership degree, a neutral membership degree, and a negative membership degree, making it more suitable and useful than the intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) when dealing with multi-attribute decision making (MADM). The aim of this paper is to develop some aggregation operators for fusing picture fuzzy information. Considering the Muirhead mean (MM) is an aggregation technology which can consider the interrelationship among all aggregated ar-guments, we extend MM to picture fuzzy context and propose a family of picture fuzzy Muirhead mean operators. In addition, we investigate some properties and special cases of the proposed operators. Further, we develop a novel meth-od to MADM in which the attribute values take the form of picture fuzzy numbers (PFNs). Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the validity of the proposed method

Neutrosophic theory has representatives on all continents and, therefore, it can be said to be a universal theory. On the other hand, according to the three volumes of “The Encyclopedia of Neutrosophic Researchers” (2016, 2018, 2019), plus numerous others not yet included in Encyclopedia book series, about 1200 researchers from 73 countries have applied both the neutrosophic theory and method. Neutrosophic theory was founded by Professor Florentin Smarandache in 1998; it constitutes further generalization of fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy theories. The key distinction between the neutrosophic set/logic and other types of sets/logics lies in the introduction of the degree of indeterminacy/neutrality (I) as an independent component in the neutrosophic set. Thus, neutrosophic theory involves the degree of membership-truth (T), the degree of indeterminacy (I), and the degree of non-membership-falsehood (F). In recent years, the field of neutrosophic set, logic, measure, probability and statistics, precalculus and calculus, etc., and their applications in multiple fields have been extended and applied in various fields, such as communication, management, and information technology. We believe that this book serves as useful guidance for learning about the current progress in neutrosophic theories. In total, 22 studies have been presented and reflect the call of the thematic vision. The contents of each study included in the volume are briefly described as follows. The first contribution, authored by Wadei Al-Omeri and Saeid Jafari, addresses the concept of generalized neutrosophic pre-closed sets and generalized neutrosophic pre-open sets in neutrosophic topological spaces. In the article “Design of Fuzzy Sampling Plan Using the Birnbaum-Saunders Distribution”, the authors Muhammad Zahir Khan, Muhammad Farid Khan, Muhammad Aslam, and Abdur Razzaque Mughal discuss the use of probability distribution function of Birnbaum–Saunders distribution as a proportion of defective items and the acceptance probability in a fuzzy environment. Further, the authors Derya Bakbak, Vakkas Uluc¸ay, and Memet S¸ahin present the “Neutrosophic Soft Expert Multiset and Their Application to Multiple Criteria Decision Making” together with several operations defined for them and their important algebraic properties. In “Neutrosophic Multigroups and Applications”, Vakkas Uluc¸ay and Memet S¸ahin propose an algebraic structure on neutrosophic multisets called neutrosophic multigroups, deriving their basic properties and giving some applications to group theory. Changxing Fan, Jun Ye, Sheng Feng, En Fan, and Keli Hu introduce the “Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method Using Heronian Mean Operators under a Bipolar Neutrosophic Environment” and test the effectiveness of their new methods. Another decision-making study upon an everyday life issue which empowered us to organize the key objective of the industry developing is given in “Neutrosophic Cubic Einstein Hybrid Geometric Aggregation Operators with Application in Prioritization Using Multiple Attribute Decision-Making Method” written by Khaleed Alhazaymeh, Muhammad Gulistan, Majid Khan, and Seifedine Kadry

With the intensification of the aging, the health issue of the elderly is arousing public concern increasingly. Various healthcare products for the elderly are emerging from the market, thus how to select suitable aged healthcare product is critical to the well-being of the elderly. In the literature, nonetheless, a comprehensive and standardized evaluation framework to support healthcare product purchase decision for the aged is currently lacking. This paper proposes a novel group decision-making method to aid the decision-making of aged healthcare product purchase based on q-rung picture normal fuzzy Heronian mean (q-RPtNoFHM) operators. In it, firstly, a new fuzzy variable called the q-rung picture normal fuzzy set (q-RPtNoFS) is defined to reasonably describe different responses to healthcare product evaluation, for which, some definitions including operational laws, a score function, and an accuracy function of q-RPtNoFSs are introduced. Then, two q-RPtNoFHM operators are presented to aggregate group decision information. In addition, some properties of q-RPtNoFHM operators, such as monotonicity, commutativity, and idempotency, are discussed. Finally, an example on antihypertensive drugs purchase is gave to illustrate the practicality of the proposed method, and conduct sensitivity analysis to analyze the effectiveness and flexibility of proposed methods
