This is the post print version of the article. The official published version can be obtained from the link - Copyright 2008 Elsevier LtdIn this paper, the problem of stability analysis for a class of impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with mixed delays is considered. The mixed time delays comprise both the time-varying and infinite distributed delays. By employing a combination of the M-matrix theory and stochastic analysis technique, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness, and exponential p-stability of the equilibrium point for the addressed impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural network with mixed delays. The proposed method, which does not make use of the Lyapunov functional, is shown to be simple yet effective for analyzing the stability of impulsive or stochastic neural networks with variable and/or distributed delays. We then extend our main results to the case where the parameters contain interval uncertainties. Moreover, the exponential convergence rate index is estimated, which depends on the system parameters. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. This work was supported by the Natural Science Foundation of CQ CSTC under grant 2007BB0430, the Scientific Research Fund of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission under Grant KJ070401, an International Joint Project sponsored by the Royal Society of the UK and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany

Fixed-time control of delayed neural networks with impulsive perturbations

    Get PDF
This paper is concerned with the fixed-time stability of delayed neural networks with impulsive perturbations. By means of inequality analysis technique and Lyapunov function method, some novel fixed-time stability criteria for the addressed neural networks are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The settling time can be estimated without depending on any initial conditions but only on the designed controllers. In addition, two different controllers are designed for the impulsive delayed neural networks. Moreover, each controller involves three parts, in which each part has different role in the stabilization of the addressed neural networks. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis

In this paper, stochastic fuzzy Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with discrete and distributed delays are investigated. By using Lyapunov function and the Ito differential formula, some sufficient conditions for the pth moment exponential stability of such stochastic fuzzy Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with discrete and distributed delays are established. An example is given to illustrate the feasibility of our main theoretical findings. Finally, the paper ends with a brief conclusion. Methodology and achieved results is to be presented

New Stability Criterion for Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Cohen-Grossberg Neural Networks with Probabilistic Time-Varying Delays

    Get PDF
A new global asymptotic stability criterion of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with probabilistic time-varying delays was derived, in which the diffusion item can play its role. Owing to deleting the boundedness conditions on amplification functions, the main result is a novelty to some extent. Besides, there is another novelty in methods, for Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is the positive definite form of p powers, which is different from those of existing literature. Moreover, a numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed methods

    Get PDF
In this paper, we introduce a class of neutral-type neural networks with delay in the leakage terms. Using coincidence degree theory, Lyapunov functional method and the properties of neutral operator, we establish some new sufficient criteria for the existence and global attractiveness of periodic solutions. Finally, an example demonstrates our findings

Fixed Points and Exponential Stability for Impulsive Time-Delays BAM Neural Networks via LMI Approach and Contraction Mapping Principle

    Get PDF
The fixed point technique has been employed in the stability analysis of time-delays bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with impulse. By formulating a contraction mapping in a product space, a new LMI-based exponential stability criterion was derived. Lately, fixed point methods have educed various good results inspiring this work, but those criteria cannot be programmed by a computer. In this paper, LMI conditions of the obtained result can be applicable to computer Matlab LMI toolbox which meets the need of the large-scale calculation in real engineering. Moreover, a numerical example and a comparable table are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods
