    Because of the dramatic urbanization processes and increasing number of the population, cities are required to develop complex strategies and innovative plans for their future. Advancing technologies are causing the transformation of cities into smart cities and the recent trend of tourism research shows the potential relationship of smart cities with tourism. In this article, the content of the concepts of smartness, smart tourism destination (STD), smart city, smart tourism cities, their interdependence and importance are studied. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to explore what STDs provide for tourists and the chances that smart cities offer for local people, analysing the potential benefits of STDs for tourists, stakeholders and destinations, and their importance in urban development based on current scholar research

    Occupational health and safety issues in human-robot collaboration: State of the art and open challenges

    Human-Robot Collaboration (HRC) refers to the interaction of workers and robots in a shared workspace. Owing to the integration of the industrial automation strengths with the inimitable cognitive capabilities of humans, HRC is paramount to move towards advanced and sustainable production systems. Although the overall safety of collaborative robotics has increased over time, further research efforts are needed to allow humans to operate alongside robots, with awareness and trust. Numerous safety concerns are open, and either new or enhanced technical, procedural and organizational measures have to be investigated to design and implement inherently safe and ergonomic automation solutions, aligning the systems performance and the human safety. Therefore, a bibliometric analysis and a literature review are carried out in the present paper to provide a comprehensive overview of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) issues in HRC. As a result, the most researched topics and application areas, and the possible future lines of research are identified. Reviewed articles stress the central role played by humans during collaboration, underlining the need to integrate the human factor in the hazard analysis and risk assessment. Human-centered design and cognitive engineering principles also require further investigations to increase the worker acceptance and trust during collaboration. Deepened studies are compulsory in the healthcare sector, to investigate the social and ethical implications of HRC. Whatever the application context is, the implementation of more and more advanced technologies is fundamental to overcome the current HRC safety concerns, designing low-risk HRC systems while ensuring the system productivity

    Accelerating finite state machine-based testing using reinforcement learning

    Testing is a crucial phase in the development of complex systems, and this has led to interest in automated test generation techniques based on state-based models. Many approaches use models that are types of finite state machine (FSM). Corresponding test generation algorithms typically require that certain test components, such as reset sequences (RSs) and preset distinguishing sequences (PDSs), have been produced for the FSM specification. Unfortunately, the generation of RSs and PDSs is computationally expensive, and this affects the scalability of such FSM-based test generation algorithms. This paper addresses this scalability problem by introducing a reinforcement learning framework: the Q -Graph framework for MBT. We show how this framework can be used in the generation of RSs and PDSs and consider both (potentially partial) timed and untimed models. The proposed approach was evaluated using three types of FSMs: randomly generated FSMs, FSMs from a benchmark, and an FSM of an Engine Status Manager for a printer. In experiments, the proposed approach was much faster and used much less memory than the state-of-the-art methods in computing PDSs and RSs

    Implementation of ISO Frameworks to Risk Management in IPv6 Security

    The Internet of Things is a technology wave sweeping across various industries and sectors. It promises to improve productivity and efficiency by providing new services and data to users. However, the full potential of this technology is still not realized due to the transition to IPv6 as a backbone. Despite the security assurances that IPv6 provides, privacy and concerns about the Internet of Things remain. This is why it is important that organizations thoroughly understand the protocol and its migration to ensure that they are equipped to take advantage of its many benefits. Due to the lack of available IPv4 addresses, organizations are in an uncertain situation when it comes to implementing IoT technologies. The other aim is to fill in the gaps left by the ISO to identify and classify the risks that are not yet apparent. The thesis seeks to establish and implement the use of ISO to manage risks. It will also help to align security efforts with organizational goals. The proposed solution is evaluated through a survey that is designed to gather feedback from various levels of security and risk management professionals. The suggested modifications are also included in the study. A survey on the implementation of ISO frameworks to risk management in IPv6 was conducted and with results as shown in the random sampling technique that was used for conducting the research a total of 75 questionnaires were shared online, 50 respondents returned responses online through emails and social media platforms. The result of the analysis shows that system admin has the highest pooling 26% of all the overall participants, followed by network admin with 20%, then cybersecurity specialists with 16%. 14% of the respondents were network architects while senior management and risk management professionals were 4% and 2% respectively. The majority of the respondents agreed that risk treatment enhances the risk management performance of the IPv6 network resulting from the proper selection and implementation of correct risk prevention strategies
