    SAT Modulo Monotonic Theories

We define the concept of a monotonic theory and show how to build efficient SMT (SAT Modulo Theory) solvers, including effective theory propagation and clause learning, for such theories. We present examples showing that monotonic theories arise from many common problems, e.g., graph properties such as reachability, shortest paths, connected components, minimum spanning tree, and max-flow/min-cut, and then demonstrate our framework by building SMT solvers for each of these theories. We apply these solvers to procedural content generation problems, demonstrating major speed-ups over state-of-the-art approaches based on SAT or Answer Set Programming, and easily solving several instances that were previously impractical to solve

Dora maar & margaret michaelis: two photographers in front of the art and architecture

The interest of the silent work of the artist in his studio or the continued attention of the slow gestation of the architecture, have been constant since long time ago. It’s very interesting to peel what ocurred in the first decades of the 20Th century, and specially on the years before the spanish civil war. In this years, I will observe the figures of two women photographers – Dora Maar and Margaret Michaelis– that understood the creative processes as a fundamental part of the artistic creation, and thanks to which, we discovered this authors, we visualize the scenes of their gestation and we enjoy with the plastic arts of their constructive advances

This exploration is inspired by decisive reasoning abilities and understudies' comprehension of the transformation learning of science material which isn't amplified because of the growing experience which actually doesn't utilize the right methodology and learning media. The motivation behind this review was to decide the attainability of STEAM-based lifelike model media to further develop the decisive reasoning abilities of 4th grade primary school understudies. This sort of examination is Innovative work (Research and development) research utilizing the Borg and Nerve model with 19 class IV understudies at SDN 5 Sinangul as subjects. The consequences of information examination showed that: ( 1) The approval consequences of media specialists, materials, and learning got a normal of 82%, 86%, and 90% so the establishment is truly practical, (2) The consequences of the viability of STEAM-based lifelike model media should be visible from positive understudy reactions and n-gain scores which show a low classification. This outcome implies that STEAM-based lifelike model media items to further develop the decisive reasoning abilities of 4th grade primary school understudies are legitimate, viable and powerful

Evaluation of a Scalable Information Analytics System for Enhanced Situational Awareness in Mass Casualty Events

We investigate the utility of DIORAMA-II system which provides enhanced situational awareness within a disaster scene by using real-time visual analytics tools and a collaboration platform between the incident commander and the emergency responders. Our trials were conducted in different geographical areas (feature-rich and featureless regions) and in different lighting conditions (daytime and nighttime). DIORAMA-II obtained considerable time gain in efficiency compared to conventional paper based systems. DIORAMA-II time gain was reflected in reduction of both average triage time per patient (up to 34.3% average triage time reduction per patient) and average transport time per patient (up to 76.3% average transport time reduction per red patient and up to 66.3% average transport time reduction per yellow patient). In addition, DIORAMA-II ensured that no patients were left behind or transported in the incorrect order compared to the conventional method which resulted in patients being left behind and transported in the incorrect order

Constructing and reviewing dioramas: Supporting beginning teachers to think about their use to help children understand the work of natural history scientists

This chapter will explore beginning teachers’ views of the use of dioramas to teach young children about scientists who have contributed to our understandings about Natural History. Recent changes to the English National Curriculum have resulted in re-focusing learners to consider not only what do we know about an area of science today, but also, how did we come to know (and whom was responsible) for discovering theories we learn about in school. Hypotheses (and evidence) that enabled scientists to recognise the process of survival of the fittest; the ways that fossils representative of different geological eras have helped us consider (and understand) why the form and function of plants and animals has changed over time and how pollutants, too, have caused changes in survival rates of particular animals are all contributory to appreciating Natural History. The scientific work that people, such as David Attenborough, Charles Darwin, Mary Anning, Rachel Carson and Jane Goodall have carried out will be considered through the ways that learners could use dioramas to convey aspects of their ‘stories’. Constructing dioramas can help beginning teachers appreciate how a more concrete, direct, ‘hands-on’ approach using everyday materials, can offer affordance to make complex ideas easier for younger children to understand. This chapter also describes, what they, as beginning teachers, reflected on through making a series of dioramas to depict the ways that the different scientists have contributed to our understanding of Natural History in some way. They also considered how it was a useful approach for young children, not only to make the dioramas, but also review each others’ and create a class collection of ‘models’ to help understand what we know (and how) about Natural History. This chapter, therefore, is written about a piece of evaluative action research undertaken to explore what beginning teachers learn (and think) about the use of dioramas to help children understand natural history

This study aims to determine the completeness of science learning outcomes by applying diorama media in learning animal movement organs to measure science learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 41 Lubuklinggau. This type of research is experimental Research. The research population was all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 41 Lubuklinggau City for the 2023/2024 academic year. Sample selection is done by random sampling technique. Sample selection is done by random sampling technique. The sample taken was class V.A, totaling 20 students and taught with diorama media. The research method uses a pre-experimental design. Data collection techniques using tests in the form of essay questions. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. Based on the results of research and discussion obtained an average value of 80,67 with learning completeness (90%). The results of the t-test analysis obtained tcount = 5,22 > ttable = 1.73 which shows that the hypothesis Hₒ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. So it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of class V.A students at SD Negeri 41 Lubuklinggau in the 2023/2024 school year after applying diorama media to learning science were significantly complete.  Keywords: Media Dioramas, Learning Outcomes, Science
