Web-based systems are widely used in organisational management. The research paper reports on how Web-based technology is used in developing an academic time management system. This prototype system, which is currently used in the School of Information Technology at the Universiti Utara Malaysia, has significantly improved time management. Through this Web-based application, users could manage their time for traditional meetings, student consultations and lectures. Furthermore, this application would enable users to discuss things collaboratively, design projects and conduct meetings through a virtual environment. This research also discovered some constraints and limitations of the system. Finally, an avenue for further research is also identifie

Academic Information Systems on the Web-Based Information Management D3 Studies Program, University of Muhammadiyah Metro Lampung, is a system that provides information activity reports online activity in the form of student grade reports, attendance reports, reports of lectures, and other information related to the academic field. Academic Information System web-based, so it helps the speed and quality in the delivery of information. In addition to the web-based data information can be accessed at a time and place not specified. In this system, the menu can only be accessed by certain users such as students, faculty, and administrators. Academic information system development is expected to provide the perfect solution for students and faculty. Where this system is used in building tools and development systems are Data Flowchart and using PHP and HTML programming language and MySQL as the databas

Every institution of higher learning would certainly have the own marking system. This is so because every lecturer will have to assess their students' performance by accumulating the marks earned by the students according to the allocations given. Among the criteria of assessment are coursing work such as quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects, whereas final exams are assessed separately. A web-based academic grading system has been developed for Examination Unit in Kolej Antarabangsa Teknologi dan Profesional, Perlis. These standalone system runs on the unit's to smooth up the daily operation and reduce the time and operation cost as well. Prior to the system development, a study has been done to understand how the system gives the benefit for the college. Questionnaire has been prepared to determine the effectiveness study on applying a multimedia element of the system compared the manual way that will be distributed to system's users. The user will be implemented to take the feedback of the system and understand the system's capability to manage a lot of data from time to time. The programming language used in the development of Web-Based Academic Grading System is used in PHP and MySQL database management

This research is entitled Design of Web Based Online Management System at Nasrani 3 Medan Junior High School. The purpose of this research is to design a support system in order to assist prospective students in the reegistration process for Nasrani 3 Medan Junior High School. The method used in this research is a descriptive research method and the waterfall method in the system development methodology used. The result of this research indicate the following conclusions; 1. The system at Nasrani 3 Medan Junior High School is still done manually so that the system built can accelerate academic data processing. 2. The system built can be carried out efficiently on academic performance so that the time required is not too long. 3. All students data, teachers, tuition fees, and student grades are stored in the designed system

The management of a chemical inventory is necessary for safety purposes as well as for fulfilling regulatory compliance. In most academic laboratories, the management of chemicals is still being done manually, which is time-consuming. As a result, data are not updated and expired chemicals are unintentionally used. This research proposes that UHF Class 1 Gen 2 Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology be used in the development of a chemical inventory information system to ease chemical tracking as well as to shorten the inventory process time. An information system integrating RFID data and a web-based rule identification interface was developed. WAMP 2.2.17, PHP 5.3.5 and MySQL 5.5.8 were downloaded and a programming language was written to check the expiration date of the chemicals as well as to produce alert notification status. Wireless technology through GSM modem helped in producing alert messages using the Short Message System (SMS) of the nearly expired chemicals to the handphone of the person in charge in real time

This project aims at addressing the formal system of students academic, technical activities and notices management system by implementation of an online system for these purposes. Colleges follow a manual system to provide students with their notices, notes and other important documents that are needed . This current system provides students with the bibliophilic data by means of printed notes and documentation. Notices are provided on a notice board which is accessible to students in college premises only. This current analogue system requires a lot of paperwork and cost to provide students with the basic documentation like notes and question papers. Also this analogue system fails at providing the students the flexibility required in terms of time and location, to access these documentation. The concept of notice board i n the college premises is restricted by strictly location requiring students to travel for get ting access to the notices Displayed for them. Moreover this analogue technique is responsible for consumption of more time than is really required for such a short process. Development of this system ensures at addressing these drawbacks of the current sy stem of flexibility and time management. This system uses a web based approach to address and solve these issues by creating an online management system to manage the notes, notices, question papers and student data, unlike formal system. Al so databases ha ve been kept distributed so as to increase the security of data in the system

In this study, I aimed to discover Iranian medical sciences students’ evaluation of using a Learning Management System (LMS) in teaching English and to collect their suggestions for using the system more efficiently. To collect data, I conducted semi-structured interviews with 38 students. The themes emerging from the qualitative content analysis of the students’ responses were (1) technical advantages (accessibility, and online homework bank), (2) educational gains (learning gains, benefits for professors, and professor-student interaction), (3) logistical benefits (optimizing class time, task management, and logistical support), (4) educational shortcomings (limited instruction, correction and feedback, and academic misconduct), (5) technical limitations (Internet problems, and technical glitches), (6) administrative problems (time mismanagement, and logistical challenges), (7) education development (instruction, educational materials, organizing tests, correction and feedback, and quantity and quality of assignments), (8) LMS platform modifications (offline platform, and upgrading the LMS), and (9) logistics improvement (student support, and time management). Based on the findings, the educational officials should consider the educational, technical and logistical requirements of using the LMS in the university programs, use a field-specific LMS or modify the existing one with an eye to the students’ needs, and improve the infrastructure required for using web-based educational technologies

Implementation of Dynamic Graphics in Problem Reporting System for ICT/BIS Academic Buildings

This study deals with matter pertaining on developing a system that allows UTP community to have quick online problem reporting access to Property Management and Maintenance Department (PMMD) for ICT/BIS academic buildings. Currently, the paper-based forms and procedures employed by the department typically involve cumbersome reporting steps and result in inefficient organizational processes when attempting to use the information for overall improvement. The objectives ofthis project are to easily record and identify which area of ICT/BIS academic buildings are in need of attention; to produce excellent dynamic graphical problem reports and analysis; and to build a secured system through its design and engineering. The project revolves around getting to know the programmable graphics techniques such as automatic image map generation and dynamic charts rendering, and also building dynamic images driven by the database. To achieve the above objectives within seven months time frame, the author follows Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model and complement it with the use of Evolutionary Prototyping approach. In conclusion, the extensive usage of interactive mapping and dynamic charts can definitely increase the web navigation efficiency of this proposed system

The development of information technology has changed so quickly and dynamically. Along with the development of technology, the role of information technology is increasingly used in various fields including academic fields on campus. One of them was the creation of a Mobile Web Practicum Information System with the development of Html5 and supported with Bootstrap v.3.0.0. In this study conducted so that the management of practicum data in the Faculty of Engineering can be more effective and facilitate practicum and student managers because the system display can adjust to the devices used by users to access the system such as desktop, smartphone, or tablet. The creation of a Practicum Information System aims to make data management carried out more quickly including an automated group division process based on validation carried out by students and practicum groups to be sorted by inputting date and time. For testing the system is running in accordance with the purpose or not, then in this study testing Blackbox Testing
