Graphical user interface (GUI) for supervisory control of computer intergtated manufacturing (CIM-70A) using SCADA
Supervisory Control system and the Acquisition Data or SCADA is
generalization of effective plant monitoring and conU'ol system in meeting production needs etc. The aim of the study is to prepare a SCADA system for AS/RS, functional Mechatronics Educational Material which simulates to real-life production system. Graphical control buttons to the system will be design to perform single or multiple tasks. The software is form Citect Pty. Limited called Citect SCADA. This project will be discussed as it applied in a CIM-70A at Mechatronic Laboratory of UTHM. Designing a controlling and monitoring system not only for AS/RS but it is also a way
providing up-to-date data. It will provide system operators with central or local control using clear, concise, resizable graphics pages (screens). Graphical control buttons to the system will be design to perform single or multiple tasks. In the last chapter, some methodologies for solving the problem as well as to improve the SCADA are proposed
Development of basic scientific fields by design and implementation of educational computing material
The educational strategy is the problem based learning that gathers information and communication technologies by designing, elaborating and implementing an Educational Computing Material of heuristic characteristics, which allows teaching of the chemistry of proteins from this point of view, contributing to the development of basic scientific fields in student
EFL TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS ON DESIGNING AND EVALUATING LANGUAGE MATERIALS : A CASE STUDY
Designing and evaluating language materials are very important component for providing an effective teaching in educational context. A language teacher is a materials developer and also as well as the material development who have played the significant role towards students’ development in language learning, but no empirical research investigates teachers’ views on designing and evaluating language materials in teaching English as FL. To fill this gap, this present study tries to explore teachers’ views for designing and evaluating language materials for the sake of 2013 curriculum development. It reports that (1) teachers are insuficiently provided with professional development programmes to design and evaluate the language materials appropriately; (2) teachers lack opportunities to work with peer teacher for solving the problems which found in the classroom; (3) based upon these findings, this study creates several suggestions for teacher educators and
curriculum policymakers
Satellite-based delivery of educational content to geographically isolated communities: A service based approach
Enabling learning for members of geographically
isolated communities presents benefits in terms of
promoting regional development and cost savings for governments and companies. However, notwithstanding recent advances in e-Learning, from both technological and pedagogical perspectives, there are very few, if any,
recognised methodologies for user-led design of satellite-based e-learning infrastructures. In this paper, we present a methodology for designing a satellite and wireless based network infrastructure and learning services to support distance learning for such isolated communities. This methodology entails (a) the involvement of community members in the development of targeted learning services from an early stage, and (b) a service-oriented approach to learning solution deployment. Results show, that, while the technological premises of distance learning can be
accommodated by hybrid satellite/wireless infrastructures, this has to be complemented with (a) high-quality audio–visual educational material, and (b) the opportunity for community members to interact with other community
members either as groups (common-room oriented scenarios) or individuals (home-based scenarios), thus providing an impetus for learner engagement in both formal and informal activities
