The interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy geometric choquet aggregation operator based on the generalized banzhaf index and 2-additive measure

Based on the operational laws on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets, the generalized Banzhaf interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy geometric Choquet (GBIVIFGC) operator is proposed, which is also an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy value. It is worth pointing out that the GBIVIFGC operator can be seen as an extension of some geometric mean operators. Since the fuzzy measure is defined on the power set, it makes the problem exponentially complex. In order to overall reflect the interaction among elements and reduce the complexity of solving a fuzzy measure, we further introduce the GBIVIFGC operator w.r.t. 2-additive measures. Furthermore, if the information about weights of experts and attributes is incompletely known, the models of obtaining the optimal 2-additive measures on criteria set and expert set are given by using the introduced cross entropy measure and the Banzhaf index. Finally, an approach to pattern recognition and multi-criteria group decision making under interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy environment is developed, respectively

This paper introduces a new intuitionistic fuzzy multicriteria decision making method of evaluation based on degree of inclusion of two intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We have called the new technique TOPIIS (Technique to Order Preference by Inclusion of Ideal Solution). The technique is applied to develop an effective employee performance appraisal

Using fuzzy numbers and OWA operators in the weighted average and its application in decision making

We call it the fuzzy OWAWA (FOWAWA) operator. The main advantage of this new aggregation operator is that it is able to represent the uncertain information with fuzzy numbers. Thus, we are able to give more complete information because we can consider the maximum and the minimum of the problem and the internal information between these two results. We study different properties and different particular cases of this approach. We also analyze the applicability of the new model and we develop a numerical example in a decision making problem about selection of fiscal policies

ASSESSMENT OF SUSTAINABLE WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES USING INTERVAL-VALUED INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY DISTANCE MEASURE-BASED MAIRCA METHOD

    Get PDF
Effective wastewater treatment has significant effects on saving water and preventing unnecessary water scarcity. An appropriate wastewater treatment technology (WWTT) brings economic benefits through reuse in different sectors and benefits the society and environment. This study aims to develop a decision-making framework for evaluating the sustainable WWTTs under interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) environment. The proposed MCDM framework is divided into two stages. First, a new Hellinger distance measure is developed to determine the degree of difference between IVIFSs and also discussed its desirable characteristics. Second, an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy extension of multi-attribute ideal-real comparative analysis (MAIRCA) model is developed using the proposed Hellinger distance measure-based weighting tool. Further, the proposed model is implemented on an empirical study of sustainable WWTTs evaluation problem. Sensitivity and comparative studies are made. The results indicate that odor impacts, sludge production, maintenance and operation are the most effective sustainable factors and Microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology is the best WWTT followed by natural treatment methods

An approach to multiattribute decision making with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy assessments and incomplete weights

    Get PDF
This article proposes an approach to multiattribute decision making with incomplete attribute weight information where individual assessments are provided as interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFNs). By employing a series of optimization models, the proposed approach derives a linear program for determining attribute weights. The weights are subsequently used to synthesize individual IVIFN assessments into an aggregated IVIFN value for each alternative. In order to rank alternatives based on their aggregated IVIFN values, a novel method is developed for comparing two IVIFNs by introducing two new functions: the membership uncertainty index and the hesitation uncertainty index. An illustrative investment decision problem is employed to demonstrate how to apply the proposed procedure and comparative studies are conducted to show its overall consistency with existing approaches
