    Main Aspects Regarding the Implication of Change Management in Educational System

    The change, as a rule for the background transformations, has emerged in all the domains both on a scientific and practical plan. The change is triggering a permanent adaptation of the system of objectives and requires a well known knowledge of the socio-economical realities. The main modalities of implementation of the change at a macroeconomic level, proved to be the achievement of changes within the present legislation, the elaboration of judicial norms and documents which should stimulate the creativity, the financial support to promote the transfer of technology, intelligence, know-how in all domains; the providing of a infrastructure which to stimulate creative activity and to proceed to some transformation in the educational system of our country. The paper treats the change management through out the national priority - education. We tried to point out the main ways that a successfully change management can be achieved, starting with an analysis of the organization, going through the characteristics of school organization and in the end showing how a successfully implementation can be done. We also realized a research, referring to the attitude of didactic population regarding change management a research made from two studies, a quantity study and a quantity study.     This paper seeks to characterise translation as a form of human-computer interaction. The evolution of translator-computer interaction is explored and the challenges and benefits are enunciated. The concept of cognitive ergonomics is drawn on to argue for a more caring and inclusive approach towards the translator by developers of translation technology. A case is also made for wider acceptance by the translation community of the benefits of the technology at their disposal and for more humanistic research on the impact of technology on the translator, the translation profession and the translation process

    Resistance to change. Exploring the convergence of institutions, organizations and the mind toward a common phenomenon

    Resistance to change is not a new concept in economic literature (Coch and French 1948, Boulding 1956). However, in the last few decades it has acquired specific connotations and meanings that deserve attention. The first aim of the paper is to analyze how the concept has evolved since its introduction by Lewin (1946) and how it has diversified. Having acknowledged that resistance characterizes institutions, organizations and the mind, we suggest that the convergence toward such phenomenon is not surprising. Indeed, it may be explained by taking the bounds that affect the cognitive and emotional counterparts of economic behavior into account. We finally reinterpret resistance to change as a heuristic that helps manage the natural tendency of human beings to fear, uncertainty and its expected effects.Change - cognitive economics - heuristic - emotions - resistance

    Transformational leadership and innovation at the Lebanese banking industry

    Purpose: Transformational leadership (TL) has been recognized as one of the most important factor influencing innovation. It is argued that this style plays an essential role in developing the process, structure and climate for organizations to become innovative. This research aims to examine the impact of TL on two aspects of innovation namely product and process innovation. Design/Methodology/Approach: The quantitative and explanatory analysis was taken by using the Structural equations modeling (SEM) with AMOS 20 to examine the relationship between TL and innovation. Research data were collected through a survey method. The sample result was determined by the probability stratified sampling technique of about 310 employees at 27 banks in Lebanon. Findings: The findings confirmed the importance of TL in enhancing innovation in banking sector. The main implication of the research highlights that individualized consideration is the most important predictor of product and process innovation followed by, inspirational motivation and idealized influence, respectively, whereas, intellectual stimulation has insignificant influence on product and process innovation. Practical Implications: Findings point to how transformational style of leadership produce better outcomes for the banks by mobilizing employees to engage in innovative products and processes. Originality/Value: These findings extends the understanding of the processes through which transformational styles of leadership stimulate innovation, and also highlight the benefits gained by cultivating more transformational styles of leadership to generate more innovative outcomes.peer-reviewe
