Student Certificate Sharing System Using Blockchain and NFTs

In this paper, we propose a certificate sharing system based on blockchain that gives students authority and control over their academic certificates. Our strategy involves developing blockchain-based NFT certifications that can be shared with institutions or employers using blockchain addresses. Students may access the data created by each individual institute in a single platform, filter the view of the relevant courses according to their requirements, and mint their certificate metadata as NFTs. This method provides accountability of access, comprehensive records that are permanently maintained in IPFS, and verifiable provenance for creating, distributing, and accessing certificates. It also makes it possible to share certificates more safely and efficiently. By incorporating trust factors through data provenance, our system provides a countermeasure against issues such as fake and duplicate certificates. It addresses the challenge of the traditional certificate verification processes, which are lengthy manual process. With this system, students can manage and validate their academic credentials from multiple institutions in one location while ensuring authenticity and confidentiality using digital signatures and hashing for data protection against unauthorized access. Overall, our suggested system ensures data safety, accountability, and confidentiality while offering a novel approach to certificate distribution

Application of Blockchain Technology for iLearning Student Assessment

Blockchain is the core technology used to create cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin. As one part of the fourth industrial Revolution since the invention of steam engines, electricity, and information technology, blockchain technology has begun to be applied in areas such as finance, judiciary, and trade. Blockchain technology uses decentralized, distributed and transparency techniques for data security. This research aims to determine the implementation of blockchain technology in the field of education, especially in the Data Security section. The study uses two methods namely the mind mapping method and literature review. The results of this study showed that with the presence of blockchain technology, the data is more secure from attacks from both inside and outside because it passes through two levels of security, namely encryption and decentralized data

The application of blockchain algorithms to the management of education certificates

Blockchain is a new application technology in many sectors and the same is true in the world of education. Therefore, there is an increasingly emerging need to research blockchain technology, as it is still taking its first steps in different sectors, such as education. This article presents a review of the state of the art of blockchain technology in the education sector, focusing on identifying the advantages, disadvantages, and challenges associated with the introduction of blockchain technology in the education sector. In addition, the implementation of a title certificate solution through blockchain technology through the BeCertify project is presented. In this solution, the development stages of the platform, the system architecture, and the operation of the API have been carried out, resulting in a platform that constitutes the first step towards a more transparent and technologically advanced way of managing the certifications of the students’ qualifications

Exploring Multi-Criteria Decision-Making for Academic Blockchain Platform Adoption

A decentralised distributed ledger system called Blockchain Technology (BCT) enables safe, open, and impenetrable transactions without the need for a central authority. The technology was initially created for the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, but it has subsequently been applied to other areas such as voting procedures, supply chain management, and digital identity management. The technology is increasingly becoming accepted in the academic setting for a variety of purposes, including the creation and storage of academic records. There are numerous platforms accessible for this usage, though. When numerous decision-makers are engaged in the selection process, picking an appropriate platform can be a contentious affair. For decision makers, selecting among a wide range of acceptable options might be difficult. It is possible to overcome these difficulties by using Multi-criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) techniques. When there are numerous elements to take into account, one technique for making judgments is MCDM. The process entails assessing multiple options according to pre-established standards in order to identify the optimal selection. In essence, when there are several variables to consider, MCDM assists in selecting the option. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is one of the various MCDMs which this paper uses to choose the best BCT platform for academic records based on three choices (IBM, Ethereum, and Hyperledger Fabric) and five factors (cost, degree of acceptance, simplicity of use, data security, and level of customization). The analysis's findings indicate that data security is the most crucial factor, with a weight of 0.645, and that IBM is the best BCT platform, with a value of 0.448. By comparing the FAHP results to those of AHP, IBM's suitability as a platform was confirmed.

Gamification-based The Kampus Merdeka Learning in 4.0 era

    Get PDF
Recently, education has been enlivened by the presence of the Merdeka Campus program initiated by Nadiem Makarim. It uses the Kampus Merdeka concept to learn to follow the development of education in the 4.0 era. This change has become a paradigm for Higher Education to build a Merdeka Campus to learn to face challenges in the 4.0 era. However, the challenge is not easy for universities, so that students join the independent program to learn quickly. This study aims to motivate students to participate in independent learning activities in a collaborative learning system with gamification techniques. Gamification is in the form of reward badges for student achievement in all learning activities carried out. The higher education independent learning system is designed using the library study method and Agile Development with two frameworks, namely Laravel and VueJS. It can be proven from the results of the SUS Score Analysis showing the number 92.5 indicating that the independent learning campus system provides positive benefits by gamification of students being more motivated and ready to face learning challenges in the 4.0 era

A Multi-Agent Architecture for An Intelligent Web-Based Educational System

    Get PDF
An intelligent educational system must constitute an adaptive system built on multi-agent system architecture. The multi-agent architecture component provides self-organization, self-direction, and other control functionalities that are crucially important for an educational system. On the other hand, the adaptiveness of the system is necessary to provide customization, diversification, and interactional functionalities. Therefore, an educational system architecture that integrates multi-agent functionality [50] with adaptiveness can offer the learner the required independent learning experience. An educational system architecture is a complex structure with an intricate hierarchal organization where the functional components of the system undergo sophisticated and unpredictable internal interactions to perform its function. Hence, the system architecture must constitute adaptive and autonomous agents differentiated according to their functions, called multi-agent systems (MASs). The research paper proposes an adaptive hierarchal multi-agent educational system (AHMAES) [51] as an alternative to the traditional education delivery method. The document explains the various architectural characteristics of an adaptive multi-agent educational system and critically analyzes the system’s factors for software quality attributes
