Optimized DWT Based Digital Image Watermarking and Extraction Using RNN-LSTM

    Get PDF
The rapid growth of Internet and the fast emergence of multi-media applications over the past decades have led to new problems such as illegal copying, digital plagiarism, distribution and use of copyrighted digital data. Watermarking digital data for copyright protection is a current need of the community. For embedding watermarks, robust algorithms in die media will resolve copyright infringements. Therefore, to enhance the robustness, optimization techniques and deep neural network concepts are utilized. In this paper, the optimized Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is utilized for embedding the watermark. The optimization algorithm is a combination of Simulated Annealing (SA) and Tunicate Swarm Algorithm (TSA). After performing the embedding process, the extraction is processed by deep neural network concept of Recurrent Neural Network based Long Short-Term Memory (RNN-LSTM). From the extraction process, the original image is obtained by this RNN-LSTM method. The experimental set up is carried out in the MATLAB platform. The performance metrics of PSNR, NC and SSIM are determined and compared with existing optimization and machine learning approaches. The results are achieved under various attacks to show the robustness of the proposed work

Breast cancer is one of the common cancers among women so that early diagnosing of it can effectively help its treatment in this study, considering combination of Mammography and MRI pictures, we will try to recognize glands in existing pictures which identify all around of gland complete and precisely and separate it completely. In this method using artificial intelligence algorithm such as Affine transformation, Gabor filter, neural network, and support vector machine, image analysis will be carried out. The accuracy of proposed method is 98.14. In this work a special framework is presented which simplifies cancer diagnosis. The algorithm of proposed method is tested on z16 images. High speed and lack of human error are the most important factors in proposed intelligent system

    Automated Students Attendance System

    Get PDF
The Automated Students' Attendance System is a system that takes the attendance of students in a class automatically. The system aims to improve the current attendance system that is done manually. This work presents the computerized system of automated students' attendance system to implement genetic algorithms in a face recognition system. The extraction of face template particularly the T-zone (symmetrical between the eyes, nose and mouth) is performed based on face detection using specific HSV colour space ranges followed by template matching. Two types of templates are used; one on edge detection and another on the intensity plane in YIQ colour space. Face recognition with genetic algorithms will be performed to achieve an automated students' attendance system. With the existence of this attendance system, the occurrence of truancy could be reduced tremendously

PSO-SVM hybrid system for melanoma detection from histo-pathological images

    Get PDF
This paper introduces an automated system for skin cancer (melanoma) detection from Histo-pathological images sampled from microscopic slides of skin biopsy. The proposed system is a hybrid system based on Particle Swarm Optimization and Support Vector Machine (PSO-SVM). The features used are extracted from the grayscale image histogram, the co-occurrence matrix and the energy of the wavelet coefficients resulting from the wavelet packet decomposition. The PSO-SVM system selects the best feature set and the best values for the SVM parameters (C and γ) that optimize the performance of the SVM classifier.   The system performance is tested on a real dataset obtained from the Southern Pathology Laboratory in Wollongong NSW, Australia. Evaluation results show a classification accuracy of 87.13%, a sensitivity of 94.1% and a specificity of 80.22%.The sensitivity and specificity results are comparable to those obtained by dermatologists

Computerized Approaches for Retinal Microaneurysm Detection

    Get PDF
The number of diabetic patients throughout the world is increasing with a very high rate. The patients suffering from long term diabetes have a very high risk of generating retinal disorder called Diabetic Retinopathy(DR). The disease is a complication of diabetes and may results in irreversible blindness to the patient. Early diagnosis and routine checkups by expert ophthalmologist possibly prevent the vision loss. But the number of people to be screen exceeds the number of experts, especially in rural areas. Thus the computerized screening systems are needed which will accurately screen the large amount of population and identify healthy and diseased people. Thus the workload on experts is reduced significantly. Microaneurysms(MA) are first recognizable signs of DR. Thus early detection of DR requires accurate detection of Microaneurysms. Computerized diagnosis insures reliable and accurate detection of MA's. The paper overviews the approaches for computerized detection of retinal Microaneurysms
