A Conceptual Model for Group Support Systems in Local Councils
This paper proposes a conceptual model of a context-aware group support system (GSS) to assist local council employees to perform collaborative tasks in conjunction with inter- and intra-organisational stakeholders. Most discussions about e-government focus on the use of ICT to improve the relationship between government and citizen, not on the relationship between government and employees. This paper seeks to expose the unique culture of UK local councils and to show how a GSS could support local government employer and employee needs
E-Government Implementation in the Village General Administrative Electronic System (SEDULUR) Program
Purpose: E-government is one of the government's efforts to develop the implementation of electronic-based government activities in order to improve the quality of service to various parties effectively and efficiently. In the context of implementing e-government in Cirebon City, Cirebon City is carrying out a smart city or smart city movement with its vision of realizing Cirebon as a creative, innovative, synergistic and competitive smart city in 2028. Lots of programs have been implemented as supporters of the realization of the smart city movement in the city of Cirebon. Research with the title "Implementation of E-government in the Village Public Administration Electronic System Program (SEDULUR) in Kalijaga Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City", has a formulation of the problem of how to implement the sedulur program in Kalijaga Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City.
Design/methodology/approach: This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach that is descriptive. Determination of informants using purposive sampling. The theoretical foundation used is the Balanced E-government Scorecard theory with five dimensions in it, the five dimensions are: benefits, efficiency, participation, transparency, and change management.
Findings: Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the implementation of e-government in Kalijaga Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City with case studies of the sedulur program has not been optimal in its implementation, this is because the sedulur program still wants to be developed so that later all people can access it without having to contact the head of the RW First of all, it's just that the budget was diverted during the Covid-19 pandemic which hampered the development of the Sedulur program.
Practical implications: The efforts that have been made are with Harjamukti District supporting government programs related to people who are aware and obedient of paying taxes so that revenue-sharing funds (DBH) from these taxes can be allocated for the development of the sedulur program.

E-banking: Influence of Mass Media Communication on Customers’ Satisfaction in Sylhet City, Bangladesh
This paper sought to analyse the influence of mass communication on customers’ satisfaction regarding e-banking services, for two selected commercial banks in Sylhet city, Bangladesh. One of them is Private Commercial Bank and another one is Government Commercial Bank. A cross sectional survey was used for this research to reach the objectives and hypothesis of the study. Mass media communication is the learning of how individuals exchange information through mass media to large segments of the population at the same time. It is usually assumed to relate newspaper, periodical magazine, and book publishing, as well as radio, television and film, even via internet as these mediums are used for circulating information, news and advertising. Mass media communication is used here as an independent variable and customer satisfaction is considered as dependent variable. Total 250 questionnaires were circulated, out of which 200 were considerable for the study. Respondents are customer from aforesaid banks across Sylhet city of Bangladesh. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to estimate a model for predicting the influence of mass media communication of customer satisfaction in context of e-banking usage in Sylhet city, Bangladesh through SPSS version 22. This paper exemplify that government should ensure the availability media (i.e. Newspaper, Internet, TV, Radio) around the country to aware about development of government’s vision
A framework design to develop integrated data system for smart e-government based on big data technology
The rapid development of information communication and technology (ICT) in the field of governance or public service has shifted from the age of information to the age of data. The public sector is becoming increasingly aware of the potential value of data, where governments generate and collect large quantities of data (volume), rapid growth data (velocity) and various type of data (variety) through their services. Meanwhile, the government agencies keep constructing the various database, information system or application with different data sources and platform. Therefore, the interoperability has become the important requirements in electronic Government (e-Government) infrastructure that progresses towards higher levels of integration among government levels and branches. In this paper, we proposed a framework design for the development of Integrated Data System for e-Government that we call Smart e-Government, which integrates traditional information systems that is combined with an intelligent system based on big data technology. With this system, the government agencies could provide services environment with greater ease and deliver public value through open government data initiatives in a Smart e-Government context. Moreover, this would also be very useful for the government executives to monitor public services which are increasingly prestige, institutional transparency, as well as accountability. Such integration is to improve the quality of public services through information technology

E-government: A comparison of strategies in local authorities in the UK and Norway
In Europe almost all countries have implemented some form of e-government, not to mention the UK and Norway which are now both well into their sixth year of e-government implementation. These six years have seen various strategic plans formulated, implemented and also intermittently postponed in the two countries. Although time may result in the amplification of e-government experience for Norway and the UK, the postponement of implementation deadlines indicates that not only political and social issues, but also strategic and organisational issues need to be addressed when formulating plans for deploying e-government. Using empirical research this paper examines the strategies adopted by the UK and Norway in the context of aligning central and local government plans for implementing e-government services. While technical, political and social issues are considered as key areas to be addressed in any e-government exploitation plan; this paper examines how different perspectives on e-government definition, strategy, awareness and related organisational change influence implementation. The need to align central and local e-government plans, guidelines for local level implementation, user centred solutions, strong leadership and a common understanding of the definition of e-government are highlighted in the paper as some of the key components of good e-government implementation practice
Content-Aware DataGuides for Indexing Large Collections of XML Documents
XML is well-suited for modelling structured data with
textual content. However, most indexing approaches perform
structure and content matching independently, combining
the retrieved path and keyword occurrences in a third
step. This paper shows that retrieval in XML documents can
be accelerated significantly by processing text and structure
simultaneously during all retrieval phases. To this end,
the Content-Aware DataGuide (CADG) enhances the wellknown
DataGuide with (1) simultaneous keyword and path
matching and (2) a precomputed content/structure join. Extensive
experiments prove the CADG to be 50-90% faster
than the DataGuide for various sorts of query and document,
including difficult cases such as poorly structured
queries and recursive document paths. A new query classification
scheme identifies precise query characteristics with
a predominant influence on the performance of the individual
indices. The experiments show that the CADG is applicable
to many real-world applications, in particular large
collections of heterogeneously structured XML documents
