Consistency management with repair actions
Comprehensive consistency management requires a strong mechanism for repair once inconsistencies have been detected. In this paper we present a repair framework for inconsistent distributed documents. The core piece of the framework is a new method for generating interactive repairs from full first order logic formulae that constrain these documents. We present a full implementation of the components in our repair framework, as well as their application to the UML and related heterogeneous documents such as EJB deployment descriptors. We describe how our approach can be used as an infrastructure for building higher-level, domain specific frameworks and provide an overview of related work in the database and software development environment community

Framework processes and systems will be the key fundamental enablers for success and for continuous improvement. The suggested framework will help to define and improve business policies and work procedures for the assets operation and maintenance along their life cycle. The following sections present some achievements on this focus, proposing finally possible future lines for a research agenda within this field of assets management
Enhance maintenance problem recognition techniques and its application to palm oil mills
This paper discusses the application of enhanced maintenance problem recognition techniques. The main contribution of this study is the proposed combined techniques, namely snapshot model, failure mode, effect and criticality analysis (FMECA), Pareto analysis, and decision analysis by using information technology (IT). The snapshot model is part of the maintenance modelling technique while FMECA, Pareto analysis, and decision analysis are part of maintenance reliability techniques. Each of the techniques and the proposed combined techniques is explained. The case study used for this enhanced technique was the palm oil mills maintenance problem. The result and possible further enhancement is also discussed
Persistent Buffer Management with Optimistic Consistency
Finding the best way to leverage non-volatile memory (NVM) on modern database
systems is still an open problem. The answer is far from trivial since the
clear boundary between memory and storage present in most systems seems to be
incompatible with the intrinsic memory-storage duality of NVM. Rather than
treating NVM either solely as memory or solely as storage, in this work we
propose how NVM can be simultaneously used as both in the context of modern
database systems. We design a persistent buffer pool on NVM, enabling pages to
be directly read/written by the CPU (like memory) while recovering corrupted
pages after a failure (like storage). The main benefits of our approach are an
easy integration in the existing database architectures, reduced costs (by
replacing DRAM with NVM), and faster peak-performance recovery

It explains the structure and function of the anal sphincters in maintaining continence. Assessment of bowel control is discussed in depth. Questions are suggested which will help to identify problems and thereby enable access to appropriate care
