Mapping DSP algorithms to a reconfigurable architecture Adaptive Wireless Networking (AWGN)

    Get PDF
This report will discuss the Adaptive Wireless Networking project. The vision of the Adaptive Wireless Networking project will be given. The strategy of the project will be the implementation of multiple communication systems in dynamically reconfigurable heterogeneous hardware. An overview of a wireless LAN communication system, namely HiperLAN/2, and a Bluetooth communication system will be given. Possible implementations of these systems in a dynamically reconfigurable architecture are discussed. Suggestions for future activities in the Adaptive Wireless Networking project are also given

Survey of Vertical Handoff Decision Criteria in LTE Cellular Networks

Vertical handover advantage brilliant importance because of the upgrades in mobility fashions by way of the Fourth era (4G) technology. A handover desire scheme in LTE networks both based totally on unmarried or multiple criteria. The wide variety of standards is right away depending on the overall handover time. In addition, the time required for deciding on a target network at some point of handover is also extended with the growth in a number of parameters. Conventional handover choice Strategies are specifically based at the unmarried parameter. But, with the advent of heterogeneous Wi-Fi networks, the overall performance of those unmarried parameter choice schemes is highly decreased. Consequently, researchers introduce multirequirements handover selection schemes. those enhancements are restricted to specific situations and for this reason do now not offer help for mounted mobility. Further, numerous schemes are proposed

    A review of femtocell

The popularity of wireless networks has attracted the attention of researchers to improve the network system and this motivated the operators to find a new technology called femtocells with the aim of meeting the increased coverage and data demand in the indoor environment. The application of femtocells in both indoors and office environment has provided good quality service and high performance network gains. However, femtocells face challenges of interference management which deteriorate the capacity and quality of network. But to cope with these challenges, many researchers have come up with solutions to solve the problems, some of which include interference cancellation and interference avoidance

Handover in Mobile Wireless Communication Network - A Review

Mobility is the characteristics of mobile communication that makes it irresistible by all and sundry. The whole world is now engaging in wireless communication as it provides users\u27 ability to communicate on-the-go. This is achieved by transferring users from a radio network to another. This process is called handover. Handover occurs either by cell crossing or by deterioration in signal quality of the current channel. The continuation of an active call is a critical characteristic in cellular systems. Brief overview of handover, handover type, commonly used handover parameters, some methods employed in the literature and we present the convergent point for furtherance in the area of mobile wireless communication Handover
