Dominant ethnicity and integration: the Estonian case
From introduction: On October 18-19, 2007, the Tallinn Conference on Conceptualising Integration was held that focused on the Estonian integration policy. While
being in the middle of composing the new state
programme for the years 2008-2013 at the time of
the conference, I’m glad that the conference gave
us an opportunity to share our ideas with others
and at the same time learn form the experience of
other countries

Antimatter, Lorentz Symmetry, and Gravity
A brief introduction to the Standard-Model Extension (SME) approach to
testing CPT and Lorentz symmetry is provided. Recent proposals for tests with
antimatter are summarized, including gravitational and spectroscopic tests.Comment: Presented at the 12th International Conference on Low Energy
Antiproton Physics, Kanazawa Japan, March 6-11, 2016, Accepted for
publication in JPS Conference Proceeding
Promoting and Managing Genome Innovation
An introduction to the symposium, Promoting and Managing Genome Innovation held October 1995. The conference was organized by Professor Thomas G. Field, Jr. and Gianna Julian-Arnold. The conference was funded in part by the Ethical, Legal and Social Issues component of the D.O.E. Human Genome Program; Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle L.L.P., Rochester, N.Y.; and Human Genome Sciences
Aspects of Group Field Theory
I review the basic ingredients of discretized gravity which motivate the
introduction of Group Field Theory. Thus I describe the GFT formulation of some
models and conclude with a few remarks on the emergence of noncommutative
structures in such models.Comment: Invited Talk at the conference: XX Fall Workshop on Geometry and
Physics, ICMAT, Madrid 2011. To be published in AIP Conference Proceeding
Introduction: The Third International Conference on Epigenetic Robotics
This paper summarizes the paper and poster contributions
to the Third International Workshop on
Epigenetic Robotics. The focus of this workshop is
on the cross-disciplinary interaction of developmental
psychology and robotics. Namely, the general
goal in this area is to create robotic models of the
psychological development of various behaviors. The
term "epigenetic" is used in much the same sense as
the term "developmental" and while we could call
our topic "developmental robotics", developmental
robotics can be seen as having a broader interdisciplinary
emphasis. Our focus in this workshop is
on the interaction of developmental psychology and
robotics and we use the phrase "epigenetic robotics"
to capture this focus
