A Scheduling Genetic Algorithm For Real-Time Data Freshness And Cloud Data Security Over Keywords Searching

    Get PDF
Cloud storage services allow customers to ingress data stored from any device at any time. The growth of the Internet helps the number of users who need to access online databases without a deep understanding of the schema or query. The languages have risen dramatically, allowing users to search secured data and retrieve desired data from cloud storage using keywords. On the other hand, there are fundamental difficulties such as security, which must be provided to secure user'spersonal information. A hybrid scheduling genetic algorithm (SGA) is proposed in this research. SGA technique enhances the security level and provides data freshness. For evaluation and comparison, parameters such as execution time throughputs are used. According to experimental results, the proposed technique ensures the security of user data from unauthorized parties. Furthermore, SGA is strong and more effective when compared to a set of parameters to the existing algorithm like Data Encryption Standard (DES), Blowfish, and AdvancedEncryption Standard (AES)

Monitoring and modeling urban sprinkling: a new perspective of land take

According to the studies done until now on the recent urban transformation dynamics, namely urban sprinkling, this thesis aims to investigate the phenomenon from different points of view to bring out its unsustainable character. The urban dispersion phenomena, specific characteristic of low-density territories, will be examined through the sprinkling index by including new components in addition to the traditional settlement system components. It allows to evaluate the shape of the anthropic settlements and the distance between them which often results in fragmentation of the urban settlements which in turn generate landscape fragmentation. Nowadays, both in the proximity of large cities and in more external areas such as rural areas, there are often evidences of strong fragmentation of the anthropic settlements in which, even if the amount of occupied surface (land take) may not seem worrying, its configuration determines a general decrease in ecological connectivity, landscape quality and general degradation of soil functions. The general hypothesis is that fragmentation (of urban, landscape and habitat) can become an indicator of land take. In fact, it is not enough to consider only the loss of natural or agricultural areas, but also the distribution of buildings in the landscape matrix, i.e., its spatial component. An emblematic case is that of Basilicata region whose dynamics of transformation from the 50s to the present day will be investigated in this thesis. According to the latest report of the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA 2020), the Basilicata region has only 3.15% of land consumption compared to the entire regional surface. This indicator is in contrast with the shape of the anthropic settlements which results fragmented and dispersed. It is essential that the effects of fragmentation as well as ecosystem disaggregation take on a "measurable" character, joining the list of indicators of urban and territorial quality such as land take and land consumption that European Union addresses to national communities currently consider essential and decisive to highlighting the efficiency/inefficiency of environmental and landscape management. It is crucial to understand and investigate what have been and will be in the future the most influential drivers on these dynamics that contribute intrinsically to land consumption and to define the addresses or the thresholds to contain this pulverized and disordered dissemination of anthropic settlements

Public Key Encryption with Keyword Search from Lattices in Multiuser Environments

    Get PDF
A public key encryption scheme with keyword search capabilities is proposed using lattices for applications in multiuser environments. The proposed scheme enables a cloud server to check if any given encrypted data contains certain keywords specified by multiple users, but the server would not have knowledge of the keywords specified by the users or the contents of the encrypted data, which provides data privacy as well as privacy for user queries in multiuser environments. It can be proven secure under the standard learning with errors assumption in the random oracle model

Atomic and molecular data for spacecraft re-entry plasmas

The modeling of atmospheric gas, interacting with the space vehicles in re-entry conditions in planetary exploration missions, requires a large set of scattering data for all those elementary processes occurring in the system. A fundamental aspect of re-entry problems is represented by the strong non-equilibrium conditions met in the atmospheric plasma close to the surface of the thermal shield, where numerous interconnected relaxation processes determine the evolution of the gaseous system towards equilibrium conditions. A central role is played by the vibrational exchanges of energy, so that collisional processes involving vibrationally excited molecules assume a particular importance. In the present paper, theoretical calculations of complete sets of vibrationally state-resolved cross sections and rate coefficients are reviewed, focusing on the relevant classes of collisional processes: resonant and non-resonant electron-impact excitation of molecules, atom-diatom and molecule-molecule collisions as well as gas-surface interaction. In particular, collisional processes involving atomic and molecular species, relevant to Earth (N2, O2, NO), Mars (CO2, CO, N2) and Jupiter (H2, He) atmospheres are considered

A Generic Construction for Verifiable Attribute-based Keyword Search Schemes

    Get PDF
Cloud data owners encrypt their documents before outsourcing to provide their privacy. They could determine a search control policy and delegate the ability of search token generation to the users whose attributes satisfy the search control policy. Verifiable attribute-based keyword search (VABKS) where the users can also verify the accuracy of cloud functionality is one of such schemes. In this paper, the first generic construction for VABKS is proposed. To this end, the notion of hierarchical identity-based multi-designated verifier signature (HIB-MDVS) has been introduced and existential forgery under chosen message attack (EF-CMA) is formally defined for its unforgeability. Furthermore, anonymity against chosen identity vector set and chosen plaintext attack (Anon-CIVS-CPA) has been defined as the security definition of hierarchical identity-based broadcast encryption (HIBBE) in a formal way. The proposed construction is built in a modular structure by using HIBBE, HIB-MDVS, and Bloom filter as the building blocks. We prove that the security of proposed construction is based on the unforgeability of HIB-MDVS and the anonymity of HIBBE. Finally, the concept of verifiable ranked keyword search will be introduced and a construction of this primitive will be presented which is based on proposed VABKS
