In this paper, we prove that convergence of a new iteration and S-iteration can be used to approximate to the fixed points of contractive-like operators. We also prove some data dependence results of this new iteration and S-iteration schemes for contractive-like operators. Our results extend and improve some known results in the literature.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1211.570

Mann-Type Viscosity Approximation Methods for Multivalued Variational Inclusions with Finitely Many Variational Inequality Constraints in Banach Spaces

We introduce Mann-type viscosity approximation methods for finding solutions of a multivalued variational inclusion (MVVI) which are also common ones of finitely many variational inequality problems and common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in real smooth Banach spaces. Here the Mann-type viscosity approximation methods are based on the Mann iteration method and viscosity approximation method. We consider and analyze Mann-type viscosity iterative algorithms not only in the setting of uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth Banach space but also in a uniformly convex Banach space having a uniformly Gáteaux differentiable norm. Under suitable assumptions, we derive some strong convergence theorems. In addition, we also give some applications of these theorems; for instance, we prove strong convergence theorems for finding a common fixed point of a finite family of strictly pseudocontractive mappings and a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper improve, extend, supplement, and develop the corresponding results announced in the earlier and very recent literature

A New Four-Step Iterative Procedure for Approximating Fixed Points with Application to 2D Volterra Integral Equations

This work is devoted to presenting a new four-step iterative scheme for approximating fixed points under almost contraction mappings and Reich–Suzuki-type nonexpansive mappings (RSTN mappings, for short). Additionally, we demonstrate that for almost contraction mappings, the proposed algorithm converges faster than a variety of other current iterative schemes. Furthermore, the new iterative scheme’s ω2—stability result is established and a corroborating example is given to clarify the concept of ω2—stability. Moreover, weak as well as a number of strong convergence results are demonstrated for our new iterative approach for fixed points of RSTN mappings. Further, to demonstrate the effectiveness of our new iterative strategy, we also conduct a numerical experiment. Our major finding is applied to demonstrate that the two-dimensional (2D) Volterra integral equation has a solution. Additionally, a comprehensive example for validating the outcome of our application is provided. Our results expand and generalize a number of relevant results in the literature. This work was supported in part by the Basque Government under Grant IT1555-22
