A tribute to Puay Tang, Judit Bar-Ilan and Paul Benneworth
This chapter is a tribute to Puay Tang, Judit Bar-Ilan and Paul Benneworth, three esteemed colleagues who passed away untimely. In this tribute, I commemorate some of the contributions of each of them to the broad field of assessment of the social sciences. Puay Tang contributed in particular to the recognition of the broader impact of the social sciences. Judit Bar-Ilan was well known for her contributions on altmetrics, blogs, and the comparative study of different bibliometric data sources. Paul Benneworth studied intensely the regional role of universities, with particular attention to the arts, humanities and social sciences.</p

Personal names in the titles of literary works
This paper intends to answer the question whether there is a kind of connection between the title involving a personal name and the genre of a literary work. Titles of literary works belonging to certain genres (e.g. adventure stories, historical novels and genre variants commemorating a person) include personal names quite often. A close connection, however, could be proved only in the case of romances
Zsigmond király Konstanzban, 2014.
The main event of the celebrations commemorating the 600 anniversary of the opening of the
Council of Constance (1414–1418) was the large exhibition organised from April to September
2014 in the great hall of the medieval Council Building built between 1388–1391 at the city
harbour on Lake Constance. After the great art historical exhibitions devoted to the period of
King and Emperor Sigismund in 1987 and 2006 in Budapest, 2005–2006 in New York and
Prague, 2006 in Luxemburg, the 2014 event organised by Baden-Württemberg in Constance
was part of a long series of German regional exhibitions with a cultural historical focus. The
Council, a world event in the Middle Ages, was represented by hundreds of exhibits from all over
Europe and from the collections of the United States, both by art pieces of the highest quality and
objects of everyday life, from Nowgorod in Russia to Valencia on the Iberian peninsula

Does the Nobel Prize reflect current scientific and academic values?
This opinion paper puts forward arguments that reflect how science’s most elite prize, the Nobel Prize may be, despite its grand stature, somewhat out of touch with the functionality of grassroots science. There is a disconnect between limited fields of study to which the prize is awarded and the interdisciplinary nature of complex research. This is the first weakness. The second limitation is the focus on a single individual, occasionally on two or three when the prize is divided, even though much research is frequently collaborative. This is particularly true in the biomedical and natural sciences, which tend to involve individuals with multiple skills, each or all of whom may be equally deserving of the Nobel Prize, given their collective participation. The Nobel Prize also tends to display poor cultural, linguistic and gender representation and/or bias. Finally, retractions of papers by select Nobel Prize laureates suggest that even these elite academics are not immune to the ills of science and academic publishing and that affect all scientists in a complex global web
Scientific Transition from Chemistry to Information and Communication Sciences: A Tribute to Professor Henri Dou, a Pioneer of Competitive Intelligence in France
This study is a tribute to Professor Henri Dou, President of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Economic Intelligence in Paris and Distinguished Professor of Information and Communication Sciences at Aix-Marseille University, France. This tribute shows his legacy and influence in the scientific field. The present research is a scientometric analysis of all documents published by Professor Henri Dou and indexed in the Scopus database. We used the capabilities of Bibliometrix R Package, VOSviewer, and Excel software to analyze the data. The publication trend of Professor Dou was a sinusoidal trend. During his scientific career, he has been able to collaborate with researchers from 11 countries, which shows his attention to the issue of science diplomacy. In addition to international collaborations, this distinguished professor has paid special attention to national collaboration and intra-organizational collaboration, so most of his scientific activities have been with French researchers and researchers at Aix-Marseille University. The subject areas of innovation, competitive intelligence, and invention analysis have been among the topics of interest of this distinguished professor. This study shows the scientific portrait, scientific diplomacy, and international cooperation of Professor Henri Dou with other researchers and better depicts the research fields studied by him
