    Industry 5.0 acceptance is accelerating, but research is still in its infancy, and existing research covers a small subset of context-specific obstacles. This study aims to enumerate all potential obstacles, quantitatively rank them, and assess interdependencies at the organizational level for Industry 5.0 adoption. To achieve this, we thoroughly review the literature, identify obstacles, and investigate causal relationships using a multi-criteria decision-making approach called single value Neutrosophic TODIM. Single-valued Neutrosophic sets (SVNS) ensembles are employed in a real-world setting to deal with uncertainty and indeterminacy. The suggested strategy enables the experts to conduct group decision-making by focusing on ranking the smaller collection of criterion values and the comparison with the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory method (DEMATEL). According to the findings, the most significant hurdles are expenses and the funding system, capacity scalability, upskilling, and reskilling of human labor. As a result, a comfortable atmosphere is produced for decision-making, enabling the experts to handle an acceptable amount of data while still making choices

    Social sustainable supplier evaluation and selection: a group decision-support approach

    Organisational and managerial decisions are influenced by corporate sustainability pressures. Organisations need to consider economic, environmental and social sustainability dimensions in their decisions to become sustainable. Supply chain decisions play a distinct and critical role in organisational good and service outputs sustainability. Sustainable supplier selection influences the supply chain sustainability allowing many organisations to build competitive advantage. Within this context, the social sustainability dimension has received relatively minor investigation; with emphasis typically on economic and environmental sustainability. Neglecting social sustainability can have serious repercussions for organisational supply chains. This study proposes a social sustainability attribute decision framework to evaluate and select socially sustainable suppliers. A grey-based multi-criteria decision-support tool composed of the ‘best-worst method’ (BWM) and TODIM (TOmada de Decisão Interativa e Multicritério – in Portuguese ‘Interactive and Multicriteria Decision Making’) is introduced. A grey-BWM approach is used to determine social sustainability attribute weights, and a grey-TODIM method is utilised to rank suppliers. This process is completed in a group decision setting. A case study of an Iranian manufacturing company is used to exemplify the applicability and suitability of the proposed social sustainability decision framework. Managerial implications, limitations, and future research directions are introduced after the application of the model

    Heterogeneous group decision making with thermodynamical parameters

    There often exist different types of information due to the subjective and objective criteria in practical decision-making problems, thus it is necessary to develop some efficient frameworks to deal with the decision-making problems with heterogeneous information. The paper proposes a framework for group decisionmaking problems with heterogeneous information with thermodynamical parameters consisting of three parts to achieving this goal. The first part builds the rectifications of criteria weights according to decision makers’ confidence in evaluations. The second part adopts thermodynamical parameters to measure the numerical values and the data distribution of heterogeneous information to characterize the heterogeneous information fully. The last part applies the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for Interactive and Multicriteria Decision Making) to aggregate the decision-making results based on the characterized heterogeneous information without transforming it into a unified form. By depicting decision makers’ different sensitive attitudes towards uncertainty by several mathematical expressions, experiments are performed to assess the sensitive attitudes’ impacts on decisionmaking results with the proposed framework. Finally, a case study on the selection of a green supplier under the low-carbon economy is provided to illustrate the flexibility and feasibility of the proposed framework

    A Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Multicriteria Decision-Making Method with Interactive Criteria and Its Application to Renewable Energy Projects Selection

    A variety of multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) methods for renewable energy projects evaluation have been proposed, of which the premise of using these methods is to assume that the criteria are independent of each other. However, it may be difficult or costly to build independent criteria set in some cases because renewable energy planning is to pursue a balance of economic, social, and environmental goals, which makes the existence of interaction among criteria be of great possibility. In this paper, we consider a highly ambiguous decision situation, where the experts are allowed to give the evaluations in the form of hesitant fuzzy linguistic terms set (HFLTS). We build a hesitant fuzzy linguistic decision-making model handling the interaction among criteria from the perspective of distance measure and apply it to renewable energy projects selection. The proposed method can consider more fuzzy factors and deal with the interaction among criteria more approximately. It can reduce the decision pressure and improve the decision-making efficiency because the decision makers are allowed to express their preference in form of HFLTS and a decision criteria set of which the criteria are independent of each other is not necessary

    A Decision Method for Online Purchases Considering Dynamic Information Preference Based on Sentiment Orientation Classification and Discrete DIFWA Operators

    © 2013 IEEE. Online reviews are crucial for evaluating product features and supporting consumers' purchase decisions. However, as a result of online buying behaviors, consumer habits, and discrete dynamic distribution characteristics of online reviews, and consumers typically randomly choose a limited number of reviews from discrete time frames among all reviews and give more weight to recent review information and less weight to earlier information to support their online purchase decisions; moreover, existing studies have ignored the discrete random dynamic characteristics and dynamic information preferences of consumers. To address this issue, this paper proposes a method based on sentiment orientation classification and discrete DIFWA (DDIFWA) operators for online purchase decisions considering dynamic information preferences. In this method, we transformed review texts from original discrete time slices to discrete random features, extracted product features based on the constructed feature and sentiment dictionaries, and matched pairs of features and sentiment phrases in the dictionaries. We subsequently employed three types of semantic orientation by defining semantic rules to extract the product features of each review. Of note, the semantic orientations were transformed from discrete time to semantic intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information matrixes. Furthermore, we proposed two DDIFWA operators to aggregate the dynamic semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information. Specifically, we obtained the rankings of alternative products and their features to support consumers' purchase decisions using the intuitionistic fuzzy scoring function and the 'vertical projection distance' method. Finally, comparisons and experiments are provided to demonstrate the plausibility of our methods

    An overview of fuzzy techniques in supply chain management: bibliometrics, methodologies, applications and future directions

    Every practice in supply chain management (SCM) requires decision making. However, due to the complexity of evaluated objects and the cognitive limitations of individuals, the decision information given by experts is often fuzzy, which may make it difficult to make decisions. In this regard, many scholars applied fuzzy techniques to solve decision making problems in SCM. Although there were review papers about either fuzzy methods or SCM, most of them did not use bibliometrics methods or did not consider fuzzy sets theory-based techniques comprehensively in SCM. In this paper, for the purpose of analyzing the advances of fuzzy techniques in SCM, we review 301 relevant papers from 1998 to 2020. By the analyses in terms of bibliometrics, methodologies and applications, publication trends, popular methods such as fuzzy MCDM methods, and hot applications such as supplier selection, are found. Finally, we propose future directions regarding fuzzy techniques in SCM. It is hoped that this paper would be helpful for scholars and practitioners in the field of fuzzy decision making and SCM

    The evaluation of ecosystem health based on hybrid TODIM method for Chinese case

    The health evaluation of urban ecosystem is the need of urban sustainable development and the construction of urban ecological civilization, in order to scientifically evaluate the ecosystem health, in this paper, we establish the mathematical model based on hybrid multiple attributes decision-making. Firstly, we introduce the original city ecosystem health evaluation indexes which reflect on Vitality, Composition Structure, Recovery Capacity, The Ecological System Continually Offering Service Function, Population Health and Ecosystem Cognition ecosystem health. Then in order to obtain the reasonable weights, we integrate the subjective weights by linguistic AHP method and objective weights by deviation maximization method, and get the combined weights for city ecosystem health evaluation indexes. Further, according to the characteristics of the different indexes, we propose an extended TODIM method to evaluate the city ecosystem health in which the indexes take the form of real number, interval number, and probabilistic linguistic term set. Moreover, with respect to the evaluation values of city ecosystem health in Jinan from 2011 to 2015, this paper evaluates the health status of Jinan ecological system, and analyzes the role of various indicators in the process of city ecological development. Result shows that: (1) Jinan ecosystem health status remained at the sub-health state from 2011 to 2015, and the ecological situation is not optimistic. (2) Prominent problems restricting are lack of investment in environmental protection efforts, increasing pollutant emissions, and imperfect industrial structure. To solve the problems in the healthy development of Jinan urban ecosystem, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve the healthy development of urban ecosystem.  First published online 17 April 201
