Call-by-value non-determinism in a linear logic type discipline
We consider the call-by-value lambda-calculus extended with a may-convergent
non-deterministic choice and a must-convergent parallel composition. Inspired
by recent works on the relational semantics of linear logic and non-idempotent
intersection types, we endow this calculus with a type system based on the
so-called Girard's second translation of intuitionistic logic into linear
logic. We prove that a term is typable if and only if it is converging, and
that its typing tree carries enough information to give a bound on the length
of its lazy call-by-value reduction. Moreover, when the typing tree is minimal,
such a bound becomes the exact length of the reduction

Mixin Composition Synthesis based on Intersection Types
We present a method for synthesizing compositions of mixins using type
inhabitation in intersection types. First, recursively defined classes and
mixins, which are functions over classes, are expressed as terms in a lambda
calculus with records. Intersection types with records and record-merge are
used to assign meaningful types to these terms without resorting to recursive
types. Second, typed terms are translated to a repository of typed combinators.
We show a relation between record types with record-merge and intersection
types with constructors. This relation is used to prove soundness and partial
completeness of the translation with respect to mixin composition synthesis.
Furthermore, we demonstrate how a translated repository and goal type can be
used as input to an existing framework for composition synthesis in bounded
combinatory logic via type inhabitation. The computed result is a class typed
by the goal type and generated by a mixin composition applied to an existing
class
Logical equivalence for subtyping object and recursive types
Subtyping in first order object calculi is studied with respect to the logical semantics obtained by identifying terms that satisfy the same set of predicates, as formalised through an assignment system. It is shown that equality in the full first order -calculus is modelled by this notion, which in turn is included in a Morris-style contextual equivalence
