Perisian Statistical Package for Social Science version 12 for Windows (SPSS v!2) digunakan

Hierarchical cross-linking in physical alginate gels: a rheological and dynamic light scattering investigation
We investigate the dynamics of alginate gels, an important class of
biopolymer-based viscoelastic materials, by combining mechanical tests and
non-conventional, time-resolved light scattering methods. Two relaxation modes
are observed upon applying a compressive or shear stress. Dynamic light
scattering and diffusive wave spectroscopy measurements reveal that these modes
are associated with discontinuous rearrangement events that restructure the gel
network via anomalous, non-diffusive microscopic dynamics. We show that these
dynamics are due to both thermal activation and internal stress stored during
gelation and propose a scenario where a hierarchy of cross-links with different
life times is responsible for the observed complex behavior. Measurements at
various temperatures and sample ages are presented to support this scenario.Comment: To appear in Soft Matte
Time reversal of ultrasound in granular media
Time reversal (TR) focusing of ultrasound in granular packings is
experimentally investigated. Pulsed elastic waves transmitted from a
compressional or shear transducer source are measured by a TR mirror, reversed
in time and back-propagated. We find that TR of ballistic coherent waves onto
the source position is very robust regardless driving amplitude but provides
poor spatial resolution. By contrast, the multiply scattered coda waves offer a
finer TR focusing at small amplitude by a lens effect. However, at large
amplitude, these TR focusing signals decrease significantly due to the
vibration-induced rearrangement of the contact networks, leading to the
breakdown of TR invariance. Our observations reveal that granular acoustics is
in between particle motion and wave propagation in terms of sensitivity to
perturbations. These laboratory experiments are supported by numerical
simulations of elastic wave propagation in disordered 2D percolation networks
of masses and springs, and should be helpful for source location problems in
natural processes.Comment: 15 pages, 6 figure
Using coupled micropillar compression and micro-Laue diffraction to investigate deformation mechanisms in a complex metallic alloy Al13Co4
In this investigation, we have used in-situ micro-Laue diffraction combined with micropillar compression of focused ion beam milled Al13Co4 complex metallic alloy to study the evolution of deformation in Al13Co4. Streaking of the Laue spots showed that the onset of plastic flow occured at stresses as low as 0.8 GPa, although macroscopic yield only becomes apparent at 2 GPa. The measured misorientations, obtained from peak splitting, enabled the geometrically necessary dislocation density to be estimated as 1.1 x 1013 m-2
Antibaryons bound in nuclei
We study the possibility of producing a new kind of nuclear systems which in addition to ordinary nucleons contain a few antibaryons (B = p, , etc.). The properties of such systems are described within the relativistic mean field model by employing G parity transformed interactions for antibaryons. Calculations are first done for infinite systems and then for finite nuclei from 4He to 208Pb. It is demonstrated that the presence of a real antibaryon leads to a strong rearrangement of a target nucleus resulting in a significant increase of its binding energy and local compression. Noticeable e ects remain even after the antibaryon coupling constants are reduced by factor 3 4 compared to G parity motivated values. We have performed detailed calculations of the antibaryon annihilation rates in the nuclear environment by applying a kinetic approach. It is shown that due to significant reduction of the reaction Q values, the in medium annihilation rates should be strongly suppressed leading to relatively long lived antibaryon nucleus systems. Multi nucleon annihilation channels are analyzed too. We have also estimated formation probabilities of bound B + A systems in pA reactions and have found that their observation will be feasible at the future GSI antiproton facility. Several observable signatures are proposed. The possibility of producing multi quark antiquark clusters is discussed. PACS numbers: 25.43.+t, 21.10.-k, 21.30.Fe, 21.80.+
