    Business Model Development for a Mobile Context-aware Service

    Mobile information services, preceded on tablet computers, smartphones or other mobile devices, are a significant source of information for people nowadays. By including context data, a new category of information services has been established. On the application side, a range of innovative services, providing the user with an added-value, could be observed in the previous years, boosted by the wide-spread adoption of smartphones in developed countries. For the application provider, the question how to configure the business model is crucial: several factors such as the service configuration, the revenue model and the configuration of the value creation network, which all can be seen as decisive factors for success or failure of a service. In this paper we present a context-aware service named \u27Digital Graffiti\u27 and describe the process of the business model development. As an outcome of this process, a specific business model, based on feasibility and future prospect, was chosen and further described

    S razvojem i popularizacijom mobilno-svjesnih (mobile-aware) usluĆŸnih sustava lako je prikupiti kontekstualne podatke kao ĆĄto su putanje aktivnosti u svakodnevnom ĆŸivotu. Očekuje se da će objavljivanje postojećih statističkih podataka o kontekstualnim strujanjima koje proizvode mase ljudi biti od vaĆŸnosti i za znanstvenike i za poslovne ljude. Ipak, analiza tih neobrađenih podataka moĆŸe dovesti do kompromitiranja individualne privatnosti. Δ-Differential Privacy pojavila se kao standard za objavljivanje privatnih statističkih podataka zbog toga ĆĄto garantira preciznost i matematičku dokazivost. Kod mobilno-svjesnih usluĆŸnih sustava krajnji cilj je ne samo zaĆĄtita korisnikove privatnosti već i stvaranje balansa između privatnosti i korisnosti. Imajući to u vidu mi predlaĆŸemo fleksibilni m-kontekst model privatnosti u svrhu osiguranja privatnosti korisnika pod zaĆĄtitom Δ-diferencijalne privatnosti. Eksperimenti s dva niza podataka iz stvarnog ĆŸivota pokazuju da predloĆŸena raspodjela privatnog budĆŸeta primjenom pokretne prosječne aproksimativne strategije moĆŸe biti efikasna kod objavljivanja privatnih podataka u realnom vremenu.With the development and popularization of mobile-aware service systems, it is easy to collect contextual data such as activity trajectories in daily life. Releasing real-time statistics over context streams produced by crowds of people is expected to be valuable for both academia and business. However, analysing these raw data will entail risks of compromising individual privacy. Δ-Differential Privacy has emerged as a standard for private statistics publishing because of its guarantee of being rigorous and mathematically provable. In the mobile-aware service systems, the ultimate goal is not only to protect the user\u27s privacy, but look for a good balance between privacy and utility. To this end, we propose a flexible m-context privacy model to ensure user privacy under protection of Δ-differential privacy. Experiments using two real-life datasets show that our proposed dynamic allocation of the privacy budget with moving average approximate strategy can work efficiently to release privacy preserved data in real-time

    Capability driven development: an approach to designing digital enterprises

This is referred to as Capability Driven Development (CDD). A meta-model representing business and IS designs consisting of goals, key performance indicators, capabilities, context and capability delivery patterns, is being proposed. The use of the meta-model is validated in three industrial case studies as part of an ongoing collaboration project, whereas one case is presented in the paper.     Towards business model and technical platform for the service oriented context-aware mobile virtual communities

    The focus of existing virtual communities is centered on a particular product or social interaction and the role of mobile devices is restricted to exchange a limited amount of contents. Herewith we envisage that the upcoming virtual communities will exploit the potential of social interaction and context information to offer personalized services to its members and mobile devices will play a significant role in this process. As a step towards this direction, in this paper we propose a business model for the mobile virtual communities in which the mobile device takes on the role of a content producer and content consumer. Though there are a number of research issues which need to be addressed to realize such virtual communities, in this paper we focus on the service requirements, architecture and open source software implementation of a technical platform for the content producer and consumer mobile devices

    A Framework for Evaluating Model-Driven Self-adaptive Software Systems

    In the last few years, Model Driven Development (MDD), Component-based Software Development (CBSD), and context-oriented software have become interesting alternatives for the design and construction of self-adaptive software systems. In general, the ultimate goal of these technologies is to be able to reduce development costs and effort, while improving the modularity, flexibility, adaptability, and reliability of software systems. An analysis of these technologies shows them all to include the principle of the separation of concerns, and their further integration is a key factor to obtaining high-quality and self-adaptable software systems. Each technology identifies different concerns and deals with them separately in order to specify the design of the self-adaptive applications, and, at the same time, support software with adaptability and context-awareness. This research studies the development methodologies that employ the principles of model-driven development in building self-adaptive software systems. To this aim, this article proposes an evaluation framework for analysing and evaluating the features of model-driven approaches and their ability to support software with self-adaptability and dependability in highly dynamic contextual environment. Such evaluation framework can facilitate the software developers on selecting a development methodology that suits their software requirements and reduces the development effort of building self-adaptive software systems. This study highlights the major drawbacks of the propped model-driven approaches in the related works, and emphasise on considering the volatile aspects of self-adaptive software in the analysis, design and implementation phases of the development methodologies.     In the context of human resource development education is a business that is consciously directed to develop the potential of young people to have the ability, skills, attitude and personality. Information services in education that can be directly accessed by students will certainly have a very positive impact for educational institutions in the midst of intense competition. The problem of limited access to academic information systems that require users to become statically accessed by the Internet causes the need to design an academic information system application that is able to meet the flexibility needs of the users to be able to access more easily and quickly, in this case through a smartphone device that is currently very widely used because of its fairly affordable price and service facilities are quite promising. Aware of all that, an initiative to actively participate in building an application based information system based on android mobile in SMK PKP 2 Jakarta in informing academic students. It is expected that the information system can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Applications can be used by students to view payment information, student grades and student attendance, student profiles and students extracurricular activities.     Towards the Composition of Services by End-Users: A Mobile-Based Solution

    [EN] Nowadays, we live surrounded by heterogeneous and distributed services that are available to people anytime and anywhere. Even though these services can be used individually, it is through their synchronized and combined usage that end-users are provided with added value. However, existing solutions to service composition are not targeted at ordinary end-users. In fact, these solutions require technical knowledge to deal with the technological heterogeneity in which they are offered to the market. In order to tackle some of these issues, cloud computing emerged to IoT as Cloud of Things (CoT) which provides virtually unlimited cloud services to enhance the large scale IoT platforms. There are several factors to be considered in design and implementation of a CoT platform. One of the most important and challenging problems is the heterogeneity of different objects. This problem can be addressed by deploying suitable "Middleware". Middleware sits between things and applications that make a reliable platform for communication among things with different interfaces, operating systems, and architectures. The main aim of this paper is to study the middleware technologies for CoT. Toward this end, we first present the main features and characteristics of middlewares. Next we study different architecture styles and service domains.
