Web-Based Benchmark for Keystroke Dynamics Biometric Systems: A Statistical Analysis
Most keystroke dynamics studies have been evaluated using a specific kind of
dataset in which users type an imposed login and password. Moreover, these
studies are optimistics since most of them use different acquisition protocols,
private datasets, controlled environment, etc. In order to enhance the accuracy
of keystroke dynamics' performance, the main contribution of this paper is
twofold. First, we provide a new kind of dataset in which users have typed both
an imposed and a chosen pairs of logins and passwords. In addition, the
keystroke dynamics samples are collected in a web-based uncontrolled
environment (OS, keyboards, browser, etc.). Such kind of dataset is important
since it provides us more realistic results of keystroke dynamics' performance
in comparison to the literature (controlled environment, etc.). Second, we
present a statistical analysis of well known assertions such as the
relationship between performance and password size, impact of fusion schemes on
system overall performance, and others such as the relationship between
performance and entropy. We put into obviousness in this paper some new results

S-Mbank: Secure Mobile Banking Authentication Scheme Using Signcryption, Pair Based Text Authentication, and Contactless Smartcard
Nowadays, mobile banking becomes a popular tool which consumers can conduct
financial transactions such as shopping, monitoring accounts balance,
transferring funds and other payments. Consumers dependency on mobile needs,
make people take a little bit more interest in mobile banking. The use of the
one-time password which is sent to the user mobile phone by short message
service (SMS) is a vulnerability which we want to solve with proposing a new
scheme called S-Mbank. We replace the authentication using the one-time
password with the contactless smart card to prevent attackers to use the
unencrypted message which is sent to the user's mobile phone. Moreover, it
deals vulnerability of spoofer to send an SMS pretending as a bank's server.
The contactless smart card is proposed because of its flexibility and security
which easier to bring in our wallet than the common passcode generators. The
replacement of SMS-based authentication with contactless smart card removes the
vulnerability of unauthorized users to act as a legitimate user to exploit the
mobile banking user's account. Besides that, we use public-private key pair and
PIN to provide two factors authentication and mutual authentication. We use
signcryption scheme to provide the efficiency of the computation. Pair based
text authentication is also proposed for the login process as a solution to
shoulder-surfing attack. We use Scyther tool to analyze the security of
authentication protocol in S-Mbank scheme. From the proposed scheme, we are

Management and Security of IoT systems using Microservices
Devices that assist the user with some task or help them to make an informed decision are called smart devices. A network of such devices connected to internet are collectively called as Internet of Things (IoT). The applications of IoT are expanding exponentially and are becoming a part of our day to day lives. The rise of IoT led to new security and management issues. In this project, we propose a solution for some major problems faced by the IoT devices, including the problem of complexity due to heterogeneous platforms and the lack of IoT device monitoring for security and fault tolerance. We aim to solve the above issues in a microservice architecture. We build a data pipeline for IoT devices to send data through a messaging platform Kafka and monitor the devices using the collected data by making real time dashboards and a machine learning model to give better insights of the data. For proof of concept, we test the proposed solution on a heterogeneous cluster, including Raspberry Pi’s and IoT devices from different vendors. We validate our design by presenting some simple experimental results

With careful implementation, a site can be made resistant to current Java security weaknesses as well as those yet to be discovered. DDoS-Capable IoT Malwares: comparative analysis and Mirai Investigation
The Internet of Things (IoT) revolution has not only carried the astonishing promise to interconnect a whole generation of traditionally “dumb” devices, but also brought to the Internet the menace of billions of badly protected and easily hackable objects. Not surprisingly, this sudden flooding of fresh and insecure devices fueled older threats, such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. In this paper, we first propose an updated and comprehensive taxonomy of DDoS attacks, together with a number of examples on how this classification maps to real-world attacks. Then, we outline the current situation of DDoS-enabled malwares in IoT networks, highlighting how recent data support our concerns about the growing in popularity of these malwares. Finally, we give a detailed analysis of the general framework and the operating principles of Mirai, the most disruptive DDoS-capable IoT malware seen so far
