Deep dense and convolutional autoencoders for machine acoustic anomaly detection
Recently, there have been advances in using unsupervised learning methods for Acoustic Anomaly Detection (AAD). In this paper, we propose an improved version of two deep AutoEncoders (AE) for unsupervised AAD for six types of working machines, namely Dense and Convolutional AEs. A large set of computational experiments was held, showing that the two proposed deep autoencoders, when combined with a mel-spectrogram sound preprocessing, are quite competitive and outperform a recently proposed AE baseline. Entwicklung von Anwendungsszenarien für adaptive Prozessmodelle im Kontext der Industrie 4.0
Die vorliegende Masterarbeit gibt einen wichtigen Überblick über die adaptiven Prozessmodelle im Zusammenhang mit der Industrie 4.0. Hierzu werden diesbezüglich nicht nur allgemeine Ziele für die Prozessmodelle sowie der vierten industriellen Revolution betrachtet, sondern auch mögliche zusammenhängende Herausforderungen und Problematiken beschrieben. Anhand eines realen Anwendungsszenarios werden
darüber hinaus auch dynamische Prozessmodelle betrachtet und versucht, diese mit der „Business Process Modelling and Notation-Methode“ zu visualisieren. Anschließend werden mögliche Chancen, welche durch computergestützte Sensordaten für adaptive Prozessmodelle entstehen können, nochmals aufgezeigt und hervorgehoben
Systematische Analyse des aktuellen Forschungsstandes von Prozessmodellen im Kontext der Industrie 4.0
Die Schlagwörter Smart Factory, Cloud-Computing sowie Internet-of-Things sind in den ver-gangenen Jahren in den Fokus von Wirtschaft und Politik gerückt. Sie stehen für einen ver-meintlichen Paradigmenwandel, der sogenannten vierten industriellen Revolution, die im deutschsprachigen Raum unter dem Konzept der „Industrie 4.0“ bekannt ist.
Die vorliegende Masterarbeit gibt einen umfassenden Überblick über die aktuellen Verständ-nisse von Prozessmodellen und deren mögliche Anwendungen im Zusammenhang mit den Themen dieser vierten industriellen Revolution. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, mit Hilfe einer systema-tischen Analyse der aktuellen Fachliteratur verschiedene Prozessmodellierungsansätze im Kontext der Industrie 4.0 zu identifizieren und zu präsentieren. In diesem Zusammenhang wird eine Untersuchung über den zeitlichen Verlauf von Publikationen, über die unterschiedlichen Themenschwerpunkte der wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen und der Relevanz für die je-weiligen Forschungsgebiete durchgeführt.
Vor dem Hintergrund der Industrie 4.0 sollen die Untersuchungsergebnisse momentane An-wendungsgebiete der Prozessmodellierung in Unternehmen und Forschungsbemühungen der Wissenschaft aufzeigen, sowie weitere potenzielle Applikationen und offene Fragen untersu-chen

El artículo presenta un enfoque de la automatización hacia los procesos de manufactura en la industria
colombiana, teniendo en cuenta diferentes medios de información los cuales generan multiplicidad de datos
acerca de la actualidad y el futuro de las empresas respecto a innovación y competitividad nacional e
internacional. De otra manera, se dan a conocer los beneficios de la implementación de la automatización
en la industria manufacturera desde varios ejes facilitando la adopción de ésta, además, se realiza un análisis comparativo sobre los procesos manufactureros desarrollados en Colombia versus las tendencias
industriales actuales, donde se realizan sugerencias factibles para la ejecución de éstos, en los procesos
manufactureros para el mejoramiento de la economía colombiana.The article presents an approach to automation with regards to manufacturing
processes in the Colombian industrial context taking into account different sources of
information that generate a multiplicity of data concerning the present and future of companies
facing innovation and national and international competitivity. On the other hand, the benefits
of automation implementation in the manufacturing industry are exposed from several angles,
thus easing up the understanding of its implementation. In addition to that, a comparative
analysis is carried out with respect to the manufacturing processes implemented in Colombia
and current industry trends and feasible suggestions for their application to manufacturing
procedures so as to improve Colombian economy are proposed
Monitoring and Information Alignment in Pursuit of an IoT-Enabled Self-Sustainable Interoperability
To remain competitive with big corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often need to be more dynamic, adapt to new business situations, react faster, and thereby survive in today‘s global economy. To do so, SMEs normally seek to create consortiums, thus gaining access to new and more opportunities. However, this strategy may also lead to complications. Due to the different sources of enterprise models and semantics, organizations are experiencing difficulties in seamlessly exchanging vital information via electronic means. In their attempt to address this issue, most seek to achieve interoperability by establishing peer-to-peer mappings with different business partners, or by using neutral data standards to regulate communications in optimized networks. Moreover, systems are more and more dynamic, frequently changing to answer new customer‘s requirements, causing new interoperability problems and a reduction of efficiency. Another situation that is constantly changing is the devices used in the enterprises, as the Enterprise Information Systems, devices are used to register internal data, and to be used to monitor several aspects. These devices are constantly changing, following the evolution and growth of the market. So, it is important to monitor these devices and doing a model representation of them. This dissertation proposes a self-sustainable interoperable framework to monitor existing enterprise information systems and their devices, monitor the device/enterprise network for changes and automatically detecting model changes. With this, network harmonization disruptions are detected in a timely way, and possible solutions are suggested to regain the interoperable status, thus enhancing robustness for reaching sustainability of business networks along time
Smart Manufacturing
This book is a collection of 11 articles that are published in the corresponding Machines Special Issue “Smart Manufacturing”. It represents the quality, breadth and depth of the most updated study in smart manufacturing (SM); in particular, digital technologies are deployed to enhance system smartness by (1) empowering physical resources in production, (2) utilizing virtual and dynamic assets over the Internet to expand system capabilities, (3) supporting data-driven decision-making activities at various domains and levels of businesses, or (4) reconfiguring systems to adapt to changes and uncertainties. System smartness can be evaluated by one or a combination of performance metrics such as degree of automation, cost-effectiveness, leanness, robustness, flexibility, adaptability, sustainability, and resilience. This open access book explores cutting-edge solutions and best practices for big data and data-driven AI applications for the data-driven economy. It provides the reader with a basis for understanding how technical issues can be overcome to offer real-world solutions to major industrial areas. The book starts with an introductory chapter that provides an overview of the book by positioning the following chapters in terms of their contributions to technology frameworks which are key elements of the Big Data Value Public-Private Partnership and the upcoming Partnership on AI, Data and Robotics. The remainder of the book is then arranged in two parts. The first part “Technologies and Methods” contains horizontal contributions of technologies and methods that enable data value chains to be applied in any sector. The second part “Processes and Applications” details experience reports and lessons from using big data and data-driven approaches in processes and applications. Its chapters are co-authored with industry experts and cover domains including health, law, finance, retail, manufacturing, mobility, and smart cities. The first part “Technologies and Methods” contains horizontal contributions of technologies and methods that enable data value chains to be applied in any sector. The second part “Processes and Applications” details experience reports and lessons from using big data and data-driven approaches in processes and applications. Its chapters are co-authored with industry experts and cover domains including health, law, finance, retail, manufacturing, mobility, and smart cities. Contributions emanate from the Big Data Value Public-Private Partnership and the Big Data Value Association, which have acted as the European data community's nucleus to bring together businesses with leading researchers to harness the value of data to benefit society, business, science, and industry.
