A taxonomy of approaches for integrating attack awareness in applications
Software applications are subject to an increasing number of attacks, resulting in data breaches and ïŹnancial damage. Many solutions have been considered to help mitigate these attacks, such as the integration of attack-awareness techniques. In this paper, we propose a taxonomy illustrating how existing attack awareness techniques can be integrated into applications. This work provides a guide for security researchers and developers, aiding them when choosing the approach which best ïŹts the needs of their application
Migrating existing multimedia courseware to Moodle
Open source course management systems offer increased flexibility for instructors and instructional designers. Communities can influence the development of these systems and on an individual basis, the possibility to modify the system software exists. Migrating existing courseware to these systems can therefore be beneficial, sometimes even required. We report here about our experience in migrating an existing courseware system consisting of multimedia content and interactive, integrated infrastructure functionality to an open source course management system called Moodle. We will assess the difficulties that we have encountered during this process and, discuss the importance of standards in this context, and we aim to provide other instructors or instructional designers with guidelines and assessment support for other migration projects
An Interactive Web-based Application as Educational Tool for SCM Course by Using FOSS
This paper presents the application of free/open source software
(FOSS) for teaching and learning one specific topic in Supply
Chain Management (SCM) course. In the last few years, there is
abundant FOSS for educational tools. However, educator still
faces problems to implement such an education FOSS for
improving the quality of education i.e. customizing of software
function, developing of a specific educational media, and
illustrating of a course content. The purpose of this research is to
design an educational tool for increasing efficiency in conveying
subject matter especially distribution problem. It has a module of
real distribution problem in commodity paddy was captured. We
crated an interactive Web-based application by using WSDL,
PHP and My SQL, and SOAP. The result of the research will be
able to improve the pedagogic approach for learning of SCM
course.

INTRODUCTION TO ZEND FRAMEWORK
A software framework provides the skeleton of an application that can be customized by an application developer. Like software libraries, software frameworks aid the software developer by containing source code that solves problems for a given domain and provides a simple API. However, while a code library acts like a servant to other programs, software frameworks reverse the master/servant relationship. This reversal, called inversion of control, expresses the essence of software frameworks. A web application framework is a software framework that is designed to support the development of dynamic websites, Web applications and Web services. The framework aims to alleviate the overhead associated with common activities used in Web development. For example, many frameworks provide libraries for database access, templating frameworks and session management, and often promote code reuse.Zend Framework
Dynamic Learning Media to Improve the Pedagogic Experience in Conveying of SCM Course
Abstract
This paper presents the application of free/open source software (FOSS) for developing educational
in Supply Chain Management (SCM) course. There were abundant educational tools based F
applications. However, lecturer still faces problems to implement such an learning media for impro
the pedagogic experience i.e. customizing of software function, developing of a specific educat
media, and illustrating of a SCM course content. The purpose of this research is to design dyn
learning media for increasing efficiency in conveying subject matter of SCM course. We combin
mobile and/or web devices with FOSS of web service to design dynamic learning media. It has a mo
of real distribution problem in commodity paddy was captured. We design an interactive Web-based
Mobile-based application by using WSDL, PHP and My SQL, and SOAP. The result of the resea
Mobile & Web SCM application as dynamic learning media- will be able to improve the pedag
experience to students.

Incorporating Agile with MDA Case Study: Online Polling System
Nowadays agile software development is used in greater extend but for small
organizations only, whereas MDA is suitable for large organizations but yet not
standardized. In this paper the pros and cons of Model Driven Architecture
(MDA) and Extreme programming have been discussed. As both of them have some
limitations and cannot be used in both large scale and small scale
organizations a new architecture has been proposed. In this model it is tried
to opt the advantages and important values to overcome the limitations of both
the software development procedures. In support to the proposed architecture
the implementation of it on Online Polling System has been discussed and all
the phases of software development have been explained.Comment: 14 pages,1 Figure,1 Tabl
Towards business model and technical platform for the service oriented context-aware mobile virtual communities
The focus of existing virtual communities is centered on a particular product or social interaction and the role of mobile devices is restricted to exchange a limited amount of contents. Herewith we envisage that the upcoming virtual communities will exploit the potential of social interaction and context information to offer personalized services to its members and mobile devices will play a significant role in this process. As a step towards this direction, in this paper we propose a business model for the mobile virtual communities in which the mobile device takes on the role of a content producer and content consumer. Though there are a number of research issues which need to be addressed to realize such virtual communities, in this paper we focus on the service requirements, architecture and open source software implementation of a technical platform for the content producer and consumer mobile devices
