Artificial intelligence (AI) can be a very useful tool for the growth and development of society. To achieve a closer approach and a more effective evolution of this technology, the European Commission has created the AI DIH network, which focuses its vision on supporting SMEs and the public sector to implement AI in the different regions of Europe, helping to close the gap between large specialized corporations. This document contextualizes the functionality of the DIH network and how it is acting in the face of AI, to introduce the analysis of the different collaborative centers focused on AI. The result is a proposal of techniques, models and parameters that can be implemented in this network of centers, supported by Living Labs, to increase effectiveness and improve the final product/service

    Artificial Intelligence in Medicine

If one posed a question on how ready is the Republic of Croatia, for use of artificial intelligence in legal and legislative terms in medicine, the answer at this point would be – it is not. The fact is that processes in medicine involve the application of state-of-the-art technologies, as is artificial intelligence, but it is also a controversial fact that the health legislative system does not develop seemingly, in the direction in which it is assumed, according to standards that exist in other developed countries of Europe and the world. Our society awaits many challenges due to the use of ever more ubiquitous applications of artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art, sophisticated technologies and technological processes in treatment, which will need regulation through the prescribed cognitive legal norm. Regulation of the medical treatment process driven by artificial intelligence, must be in place through the norm because the area is too important to be left to technological progress without legal control and adequate legal regulation. In this regard, medicine and all treatment processes, diagnostics and therapies in the health care system must be carried out with one single clear goal, which is the protection and preservation of human health and life

The Future of Artificial Intelligence in the Healthcare Industry

Technology has played an immense role in the evolution of healthcare delivery for the United States and on an international scale. Today, perhaps no innovation offers more potential than artificial intelligence. Utilizing machine intelligence as opposed to human intelligence for the purposes of planning, offering solutions, and providing insights, AI has the ability to alter traditional dynamics between doctors, patients, and administrators; this reality is now producing both elation at artificial intelligence\u27s medical promise and uncertainty regarding its capacity in current systems. Nevertheless, current trends reveal that interest in AI among healthcare stakeholders is continuously increasing, and with the current COVID-19 pandemic highlighting institutional flaws, it is reasonable to assume that many industry changes proposed by artificial intelligence will be further considered in the coming years. Therefore, this research aims to assess the changes proposed by AI and how they might impact relations between doctors, patients, administrators, and other relevant parties. It ultimately finds that the U.S. cannot certify artificial intelligence as its definitive future for healthcare, nor should it overlook other viable options to better health services, so long as a firm definition of AI is not clarified and the understructure of the American healthcare system - mainly represented through electronic health records - lingers behind those achieved in Europe and Asia. The research culminates in recommendations for addressing barriers to achieving healthcare AI so that, if AI tools can one day integrate into medical practices, an optimal relationship may flourish between technology and healthcare
