    Interactive opponents generate interesting games

    In this paper we present experiments on neuroevolution mechanisms applied to predator/prey multi-character computer games. Our test-bed is a computer game where the prey (i.e. player) has to avoid its predators by escaping through an exit without getting killed. By viewing the game from the predators’ (i.e. opponents’) perspective, we attempt off-line to evolve neural-controlled opponents, whose communication is based on partial implicit information, capable of playing effectively against computer-guided fixed strategy players. However, emergent near-optimal behaviors make the game less interesting to play. We therefore discuss the criteria that make a game interesting and, furthermore, we introduce a generic measure of this category of (i.e. predator/prey) computer games’ interest (i.e. player’s satisfaction from the game). Given this measure, we present an evolutionary mechanism for opponents that keep learning from a player while playing against it (i.e. on-line) and we demonstrate its efficiency and robustness in increasing and maintaining the game’s interest. Computer game opponents following this on-line learning approach show high adaptability to changing player strategies which provides evidence for the approach’s effectiveness against human players.peer-reviewe

The idea emerged as an evolution of Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is thought to have the capacity to revolutionize technology. One of the main features of Society 5.0 is the use of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence brings many benefits to various fields. One of them is in the field of education. Many studies claim that artificial intelligence can help ease human work and increase knowledge and skills in the field of education. Artificial intelligence has introduced fundamental challenges to education for students, educators and parents. But they are indirectly forced to use AI to learn. This is a solution, as well as a new problem that the education community must immediately adapt. Artificial intelligence has already become a part of education at high schools and colleges. However, at the kindergarten level, it is rarely used. On average, students at this level already have an AI-powered device at home. This study focuses on the role of artificial intelligence at the kindergarten level. This study recommends the importance of AI education at the kindergarten level to instill Artificial Intelligence skills in children from an early age, prepare them for the future of a digitalized world, and improve their computational and problem-solving abilities with artificial intelligence.     Artificial intelligence in higher education industry : just a brief introduction to complexity of an issue of future challenges

    Purpose: The article was written for review purposes in order to bring the definition of artificial intelligence closer and briefly present the possibilities of its use in management and economic sciences, as well as in higher education. Design/methodology/approach: In order to obtain the desired information, the author conducted a research of the scientific papers on the relationship between higher education and artificial intelligence and extracted the most important conclusions and theories. Findings: The review of the literature allowed the author to determine that there are many applications for artificial intelligence in higher education, but it should be noted that it should always be under human control and verification. Originality/value: Apart from a brief attempt at the definition of AI and its use in higher education, the author also presents a critical perspective and possible threats, as well as proposes solutions that can regulate the ways of using artificial intelligence not only in higher education, but also in other areas of industry and social life

    The widespread popularity and application of artificial intelligence technology requires technological innovation, of which talent training is an important content. The lack of professional talents has greatly restricted the development of the artificial intelligence industry to some extent. How to train industrial design talents with comprehensive qualities of artificial intelligence design talents in universities has now become the most important topic. Carry out university teacher training based on the industrial design profession, carry out the collaborative education innovation model based on university-enterprise-government , innovative ability and awareness training curriculum system, and use artificial intelligence talent training goals and curriculum system for the construction and practice of goals. Analyze the current plight of artificial intelligence design talent training in applied general universities, clarify the current types and status quo of artificial intelligence design talents, and propose specific ways to solve the current artificial intelligence design talent training. There are few relevant talents for artificial intelligence design professionals who can combine their ideas and technology in actual production. The lack of design talents has greatly limited the development of their industries to some extent.
