Game-Based Language Learning (GBLL) has been proven an effective approach tool to improve learning and has become a widely used teaching aid to maintain engagement and motivation in learners. The purpose of this systematic literature review is to identify the framework elements of Game-Based Arabic Language Learning (GBALL) for Dyslexic Children. Although previous research has addressed various guidelines and frameworks for educational tools in Arabic language learning, however, only few studies focus on dyslexic children. The methodology used in this paper is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by Kitchenham (2004) and Kitchenham and Charters (2007). A selection of relevant research was performed to achieve the research objectives. The selected online open sources databases involved as are primary resources: Google Scholar, ResearchGate, UM Student Repository, Open Access Theses and Dissertation (OATD). Scientific publications and journals, conference proceedings, and technical papers are found in well-known online databases that include a complete citation and reference analysis. Based on a systematic review process, the researchers reported and discussed findings with possible future research directions. A total of 18 studies were selected, which revealed two themes: the multimedia elements of game-based language learning for dyslexic children and the Arabic language learning elements for dyslexic children. The results of this study can be applied as a guideline for educational tools for dyslexic children in Arabic language learning.   Keywords: framework design, elements, guidelines, game-based Arabic language learning for dyslexic children, game-based learning, dyslexia language learning   Cite as: Noor Azli, M. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Fuller approach in teaching reading among Grade 3 pupils in Domnar-Lopez Copada Integrated Indigenous People School, Maasim 3 district, Division of Sarangani, for the School Year 2021-2022. The study used an experimental single group utilizing pre-test and post-test. Frequency counts and percentage with the used of t-test to determine the significant difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of Grade 3 pupils utilizing Fuller approach in enhancing the reading capacity. It was found out that fuller approach was effective in enhancing the reading capacity of Grade 3 pupils by the used of different fuller materials.  Article visualizations

Accessibility of Health Data Representations for Older Adults: Challenges and Opportunities for Design

Health data of consumer off-the-shelf wearable devices is often conveyed to users through visual data representations and analyses. However, this is not always accessible to people with disabilities or older people due to low vision, cognitive impairments or literacy issues. Due to trade-offs between aesthetics predominance or information overload, real-time user feedback may not be conveyed easily from sensor devices through visual cues like graphs and texts. These difficulties may hinder critical data understanding. Additional auditory and tactile feedback can also provide immediate and accessible cues from these wearable devices, but it is necessary to understand existing data representation limitations initially. To avoid higher cognitive and visual overload, auditory and haptic cues can be designed to complement, replace or reinforce visual cues. In this paper, we outline the challenges in existing data representation and the necessary evidence to enhance the accessibility of health information from personal sensing devices used to monitor health parameters such as blood pressure, sleep, activity, heart rate and more. By creating innovative and inclusive user feedback, users will likely want to engage and interact with new devices and their own data

Arabic Alphabetic Puzzle Game Using Eye Tracking and Chatbot for Dyslexia

    No full text
Dyslexia is a problem that an individual has since birth; it poses difficulties for the rest of their life, similar to other learning disabilities. Spelling, writing, reading and in certain instances speech can all be undermined by the language processing disorder. Idleness or a lack of intellect are not associated with dyslexia. Furthermore, sight problems do not cause dyslexia. Rather, data is evaluated and understood by the brain in alternative ways, making dyslexia a neurological ailment afflicting both children and grown-ups.This paper seeks to devise a puzzle game application based on eye tracking, which will assist with focusing attention, as well as a chatbot that can motivate users. This should prove beneficial to individuals with dyslexia, parents of dyslexics, or experts such as reading professionals, instructors and teachers who are assisting dyslexics. Based on the best current understanding of how to assist dyslexics, we meticulously assessed every application prior to its inclusion. </p
