    Analog electronic circuit design of the Cao 4D hyperchaotic finance system

    Chaotic and hyperchaotic systems have been used in different fields of science in recent years. Many chaotic and hyperchaotic systems with different behaviors have been introduced in the literature. Especially in chaotic system based encryption, random number generator and communication applications, hyperchaotic systems are more preferred because of their more complex characteristics. The chaotic and hyperchaotic systems introduced in the literature are generally presented only as numerical simulation. However, it is necessary to design the electronic circuit for the use of the systems in real applications. In this study, numerical simulation results of four-dimensional (4D) hyperchaotic finance system introduced by Cao in 2018 were obtained and then analog electronic circuit design was realized. Numerical simulation results and designed electronic circuit outputs have confirmed each other. As a result, it is ensured that Cao 4D hyperchaotic finance system can be used in real engineering applications

    Generating n-Scroll Chaotic Attractors From A Memristor-based Magnetized Hopfield Neural Network

First, a magnetized Hopfield neural network (HNN) with three neurons is modeled by introducing an improved multi-piecewise memristor to describe the effect of electromagnetic induction. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the memristor-based magnetized HNN can generate multi-scroll chaotic attractors with arbitrary number of scrolls. The number of scrolls can be easily changed by adjusting the memristor control parameters. Besides, complex initial offset boosting behavior is revealed from the magnetized HNN. Finally, a magnetized HNN circuit is designed and various typical attractors are verified.Peer reviewe

    A novel 4 dimensional hyperchaotic system with its control, Synchronization and Implementation

    This paper presents a new hyperchaotic system which shows some interesting features, the system is 4-dimensional with 4 nonlinearities. An extensive numerical analysis has showed that the system has some interesting features and strange behaviors. The numerical analysis includes studying the effect of system parameters and initial conditions. Some of the important properties of the system with parameter set, in which the system is hyperchaotic, such as Lyapunov exponents and Lyapunov dimension, dissipation and symmetry are found and discussed. In the next part of our work, a tracking controller for the proposed system is designed and then a synchronization control system for two identical systems is designed. The design procedure uses combination of a simple synergetic control with adaptive updating laws to identify the unknown parameters derived basing on Lyapunov theorem. Hardware implementation based on microcontroller unit (MCU) board is proposed and tested and used to experimentally validate the designed control and synchronization systems. As an application, the designed synchronization system is used as a secure analogue communication system. Using MATLAB, Simulation study for the control and synchronization systems is presented. The simulation and experimental study have been showed excellent results

    This work introduces a new 3-D chaotic system with a line of equilibrium points. We carry out a detailed dynamic analysis of the proposed chaotic system with five nonlinear terms. We show that the chaotic system exhibits multistability with two coexisting chaotic attractors. We apply integral sliding mode control for the complete synchronization of the new chaotic system with itself as leader-follower systems

    A new 4-D hyperchaotic hidden attractor system: Its dynamics, coexisting attractors, synchronization and microcontroller implementation

    In this paper, a simple 4-dimensional hyperchaotic system is introduced. The proposed system has no equilibria points, so it admits hidden attractor which is an interesting feature of chaotic systems. Another interesting feature of the proposed system is the coexisting of attractors where it shows periodic and chaotic coexisting attractors. After introducing the system, the system is analyzed dynamically using numerical and theoretical techniques. In this analysis, Lyapunov exponents and bifurcation diagrams have been used to investigate chaotic and hyperchaotic nature, the ranges of system parameters for different behaviors and the route for chaos and coexisting attractors regions. In the next part of our work, a synchronization control system for two identical systems is designed. The design procedure uses a combination of simple synergetic control with adaptive updating laws to identify the unknown parameters derived basing on Lyapunov theorem. Microcontroller (MCU) based hardware implementation system is proposed and tested by using MATLAB as a display side. As an application, the designed synchronization system is used as a secure analog communication system. The designed MCU system with MATLAB Simulation is used to validate the designed synchronization and secure communication systems and excellent results have been obtained

    Protein folding tames chaos

    Protein folding produces characteristic and functional three-dimensional structures from unfolded polypeptides or disordered coils. The emergence of extraordinary complexity in the protein folding process poses astonishing challenges to theoretical modeling and computer simulations. The present work introduces molecular nonlinear dynamics (MND), or molecular chaotic dynamics, as a theoretical framework for describing and analyzing protein folding. We unveil the existence of intrinsically low dimensional manifolds (ILDMs) in the chaotic dynamics of folded proteins. Additionally, we reveal that the transition from disordered to ordered conformations in protein folding increases the transverse stability of the ILDM. Stated differently, protein folding reduces the chaoticity of the nonlinear dynamical system, and a folded protein has the best ability to tame chaos. Additionally, we bring to light the connection between the ILDM stability and the thermodynamic stability, which enables us to quantify the disorderliness and relative energies of folded, misfolded and unfolded protein states. Finally, we exploit chaos for protein flexibility analysis and develop a robust chaotic algorithm for the prediction of Debye-Waller factors, or temperature factors, of protein structures

    Synchronization Phenomena in Coupled Birkhoff-Shaw Chaotic Systems Using Nonlinear Controllers

    In this chapter, the well-known non-autonomous chaotic system, the Birkhoff-Shaw, which exhibits the structure of beaks and wings, typically observed in chaotic neuronal models, is used in a coupling scheme. The Birkhoff-Shaw system is a second-order non-autonomous dynamical system with rich dynamical behaviour, which has not been sufficiently studied. Furthermore, the master-slave (unidirectional) coupling scheme, which is used, is designed by using the nonlinear controllers to target synchronization states, such as complete synchronization and antisynchronization, with amplification or attenuation in chaotic oscillators. It is the first time that the specific method has been used in coupled non-autonomous chaotic systems. The stability of synchronization is ensured by using Lyapunov function stability theorem in the unidirectional mode of coupling. The simulation results from system’s numerical integration confirm the appearance of complete synchronization and antisynchronization phenomena depending on the signs of the parameters of the error functions. Electronic circuitry that models the coupling scheme is also reported to verify its feasibility
