The networks are evolving drastically since last few years in order to meetuser requirements. For example, the 5G is offering most of the available spec-trum under one umbrella. In this work, we will address the resource allocationproblem in fifth-generation (5G) networks, to be exact in the Cloud Radio AccessNetworks (C-RANs). The radio access network mechanisms involve multiplenetwork topologies that are isolated based on the spectrum bands and it shouldbe enhanced with numerous access technology in the deployment of 5G net-work. The C-RAN is one of the optimal technique to combine all the availablespectral bands. However, existing C-RAN mechanisms lacks the intelligence per-spective on choosing the spectral bands. Thus, C-RAN mechanism requires anadvanced tool to identify network topology to allocate the network resources forsubstantial traffic volumes. Therefore, there is a need to propose a frameworkthat handles spectral resources based on user requirements and network behav-ior. In this work, we introduced a new C-RAN architecture modified as multitierHeterogeneous Cloud Radio Access Networks in a 5G environment. This archi-tecture handles spectral resources efficiently. Based on the simulation analysis, the proposed multitier H-CRAN architecture with improved control unit innetwork management perspective enables augmented granularity, end-to-endoptimization, and guaranteed quality of service by 15 percentages over theexisting system

The rapid integration of Internet of Things (IoT) services and applications across various sectors is primarily driven by their ability to process real-time data and create intelligent environments through artificial intelligence for service consumers. However, the security and privacy of data have emerged as significant threats to consumers within IoT networks. Issues such as node tampering, phishing attacks, malicious code injection, malware threats, and the potential for Denial of Service (DoS) attacks pose serious risks to the safety and confidentiality of information. To solve this problem, we propose an integrated autonomous IoT network within a cloud architecture, employing Blockchain technology to heighten network security. The primary goal of this approach is to establish a Heterogeneous Autonomous Network (HAN), wherein data is processed and transmitted through cloud architecture. This network is integrated with a Reinforced Neural Network (RNN) called ClouD_RNN, specifically designed to classify the data perceived and collected by sensors. Further, the collected data is continuously monitored by an autonomous network and classified for fault detection and malicious activity. In addition, network security is enhanced by the Blockchain Adaptive Windowing Meta Optimization Protocol (BAWMOP). Extensive experimental results validate that our proposed approach significantly outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in terms of throughput, accuracy, end-to-end delay, data delivery ratio, network security, and energy efficiency

With the exponential growth of mobile users, there is a massive growth of data as well as novel services to support such data management. However, the existing 4G network is absolutely not meant for catering up such higher demands of bandwidth utilization as well as servicing massive users with similar Quality of service. Such problems are claimed to be effectively addressed by the adoption of 5G networking system. Although the characteristics of 5G networking are theoretically sound, still it is under the roof of the research. Therefore, this paper presents a discussion about the conventional approach as well as an approach using cognitive radio network towards addressing the frequently identified problems of energy, resource allocation, and spectral efficiency. The study collects the existing, recent researches in the domain of 5G communications from various publications. Different from existing review work, the paper also contributes towards identifying the core research findings as well as a significant research gap towards improving the communication in the 5G network system

Review on Radio Resource Allocation Optimization in LTE/LTE-Advanced using Game Theory

Recently, there has been a growing trend toward ap-plying game theory (GT) to various engineering fields in order to solve optimization problems with different competing entities/con-tributors/players. Researches in the fourth generation (4G) wireless network field also exploited this advanced theory to overcome long term evolution (LTE) challenges such as resource allocation, which is one of the most important research topics. In fact, an efficient de-sign of resource allocation schemes is the key to higher performance. However, the standard does not specify the optimization approach to execute the radio resource management and therefore it was left open for studies. This paper presents a survey of the existing game theory based solution for 4G-LTE radio resource allocation problem and its optimization

Deep learning (DL) based joint resource allocation and RRH association in 5G-multi-tier networks

ABSTRACT: Fifth-Generation (5G) networks have adopted a multi-tier structural model which includes femtocells, picocells, and macrocells to ensure the user quality-of-service (QoS). To meet these QoS demands, the system requires optimization of different resources in different network dynamics carefully. However, if ignored, this will lead to long processing delays and high computational burdens. To avoid this, we proposed Deep Learning (DL) based resource allocation (RA) as a promising solution to meet the network requirements. DL is an effective mechanism where neural networks can learn to develop RA techniques. Thus, an optimized RA decision can be achieved using DL without exhaustive computations. Further, DL uses DL to achieve solutions for joint RA and remote-radio-head (RRH) association problems in multi-tier Cloud-Radio Access Networks (C-RAN). Initially, a summary of existing literature on DL-based RA techniques is provided, followed by a deep neural network (DNN) description, its architectures, and the data training method. Then, a supervised DL technique is presented to solve the joint RA and RRH-association problem. An efficient subchannel assignment, power allocation, and RRH-association (SAPARA) technique are used to generate the training data for the DNN model using the iterative approach where the seed data for the SAPARA technique is taken using a uniform power allocation and path-loss based association (UPA-PLBA) model. After training the DNN model, the accurateness of the presented model is tested. Simulation outcomes demonstrate that our proposed scheme is capable of providing an efficient solution in the considered scenario

Design and Analysis of Deadline and Budget Constrained Autoscaling (DBCA) Algorithm for 5G Mobile Networks

In cloud computing paradigm, virtual resource autoscaling approaches have been intensively studied recent years. Those approaches dynamically scale in/out virtual resources to adjust system performance for saving operation cost. However, designing the autoscaling algorithm for desired performance with limited budget, while considering the existing capacity of legacy network equipment, is not a trivial task. In this paper, we propose a Deadline and Budget Constrained Autoscaling (DBCA) algorithm for addressing the budget-performance tradeoff. We develop an analytical model to quantify the tradeoff and cross-validate the model by extensive simulations. The results show that the DBCA can significantly improve system performance given the budget upper-bound. In addition, the model provides a quick way to evaluate the budget-performance tradeoff and system design without wide deployment, saving on cost and time
