Anu jadi data jeung sumber data dina ieu panalungtikan nyaéta istilah flora jeung fauna anu aya dina buku Bagbagan Sisindiran karangan Budi Rahayu Tamsyah anu dipedalkeun ku Yrama Widya jeung buku Sisisndiran jeung Wawangsalan Anyar karangan Dédy Windyagiri anu dipedalkeun ku Penerbit PT. Kiblat Utama, Bandung. Hasil panalungtikanna nyaéta; 1) inventarisasi jeung babagian istilah flora jeung fauna anu aya dina sisindiran Sunda anu jumlahna kabéhna aya 448 istilah kabagi kana flora 257 jeung fauna 191 istilah; 2) posisi istilah flora jeung fauna dina sisindiran Sunda nyicingan posisi dina paragrap kahiji, paragrap kadua jeung nyicingan posisi wangsal. Istilah flora jeung fauna leuwih réa nyicingan posisi dina padalisan kahiji dituturkeun ku padalisan kadua jeung wangsal; 3) harti léksikosemantik istilah flora jeung fauna anu aya dina sisindiran Sunda; 4) aspék étnolinguistik istilah flora jeung fauna anu aya dina sisindiran Sunda anu ngawengku kadaharan, tatanén, “peternakan”, ékonomi, karesep, jeung kaséhatan; 5) larapna istilah flora jeung fauna pikeun bahan ajar sisindiran di SMP. Dumasar hasil panaluntikan, istilah flora jeung fauna bisa dilarapkeun kana bahan ajar sisindiran di SMP.----------Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menjelaskan arti leksikosemantik dan etnolinguistik dari istilah flora dan fauna yang terdapat dalam sisindiran Sunda serta penerapannya sebagai bahan ajar sisindiran di SMP. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik telaah dokumentasi. Yang menjadi data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah istilah flora dan fauna yang terdapat dalam buku Bagbagan Sisindiran karangan Budi Rahayu Tamsyah yang diterbitkan oleh Yrama Widya dan buku Sisisndiran jeung Wawangsalan Anyar karangan Dédy Windyagiri yang diterbitkan olah PT. Kiblat Utama, Bandung. Hasil penelitiannya yaitu; 1) inventarisasi dan pengelompokan istilah flora dan fauana yang terdapat dalam sisindiran Sunda yang berjumlah 448 istilah yang terbagi pada kelompok flora berjumalah 257 dan fauna 191; 2) istilah flora dan fauna bisa menduduki posisi pada baris pertama, kedua dan wangsal. Yang terbanyak menduduki baris pertama kemudian baris kedua dan paling sedikit menduduki posisi wangsal; 3) arti leksikosemantik istilah flora dan fauna yang terdapat dalam sisindiran Sunda; 4) aspek etnolinguistik istilah flora dan fauna yang terdapat dalam sisindiran Sunda, yang berhubungan dengan makanan, pertanian, peternakan, ekonomi, hobi, dan kesehatan; 5) penerapannya istilah flora dan fauna ke dalam bahan ajar sisindiran di SMP.     THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM)-BASED MATHEMATICS TEACHING MATERIALS TO INCREASE MATHEMATICAL CONNECTION ABILITY

    Abstract:This research is development research that aims to develop mathematics teaching materials related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This research uses the stages of Research and Development, including problem and data collection, product design, design validation, product test (practicality test), trial test (pretest and posttest), and final product. The results show that teaching materials are valid, practical, and effective to increase mathematical connection ability. The results of the test indicate that teaching materials are valid to use in learning with a percentage of 94.42%. The practicality test results show that teaching materials are easily practised by students, with a percentage of 87.47%. The analysis of the results of the pretest and posttest showed that there was an effective increase in the mathematical connection ability with the n-gain test results of 0.628 on the medium criteria. Thus, mathematics teaching materials in this research can be used in learning, and the copyright was submitted by the electronic intellectual wealth General Directory.Abstract:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika yang berhubungan dengan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan, yaitu masalah dan pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, uji produk (tes kepraktisan), uji coba (pretest dan posttest), dan produk akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan persentase 94,42%. Hasil tes kepraktisan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar mudah digunakan oleh siswa, dengan persentase 87,47%. Analisis hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang efektif dalam kemampuan koneksi matematis dengan hasil tes n-gain dari 0,628 pada kriteria medium. Dengan demikian, materi pengajaran matematika dalam penelitian ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran, dan hak cipta disampaikan oleh kekayaan intelektual elektronik direktori umum.

    An e-learning instructional design framework for mobile devices in Africa

    English text, with summaries in English, Afrikaans and ZuluThis study aims to propose an e-learning framework for mobile devices in Africa to help improve enrolment rates and education standards in the FET (Further Education and Training) phase. The study is qualitative in nature and employs document analysis as main research method. An overview of the South African education context with supporting statistical data to motivate why an e-learning alternative is crucial for improving South African and African education is provided. The literature review includes a descriptive analysis of 7 existing e- and m-learning frameworks, with key features highlighted for possible adaptation or incorporation into an e-learning framework for Africa. Behaviourism, Constructivism and Connectivism are discussed as applicable learning theories to pedagogically underpin this proposed e-learning framework. Thereafter, a critical evaluation of current South African education policy documents (White Papers, the Norms and Standards for Educators and the Draft Policy for the Provision and Management of Learning Teaching and Support Materials) is conducted to determine whether these policies support and enable e-learning effectively. Part 2 of Chapter 5 comprises a critical analysis and comparison of education systems and applicable legislation in the USA, Finland and Malawi to establish how education is structured and how e-learning is administered in these countries to make relevant recommendations for South Africa and to inform the design of an e-learning framework for Africa. Research findings are presented as answers to the research questions posed and the proposed e-learning framework with further recommendations are presented to the South African Department of Basic Education, teachers and researchers.Die doel van hierdie studie is om ‘n e-onderrig-en-leer raamwerk vir mobiele toestelle vir Afrika voor te stel, sodat inskrywingsgetalle en onderrig- en leerstandaarde in die Verdere Onderrig en Opleidings (VOO) fase verbeter kan word. Dit is ‘n kwalitatiewe studie en dokumentanalise word as navorsingsmetode toegepas. ‘n Oorsig van die huidige Suid-Afrikaanse onderwysstelsel en konteks met ondersteunende statistiese bevindinge word verduidelik om e-onderrig-en-leer as noodsaaklike alternatief vir Suid-Afrika en Afrika te motiveer. Die literatuuroorsig sluit ‘n beskrywende analise van sewe bestaande e- en m-onderrig-en-leer (mobiele-onderrig-en-leer) raamwerke in. Hoofkenmerke van elke raamwerk word uitgelig vir moontlike aanpassing en inkorporering in ‘n e-onderrig-en-leer raamwerk vir die Afrika-konteks. Leerteorië, nl Behaviourisme, Konstruktivisme en Konnektivisme (Connectivism) word in diepte bespreek as pedagogies fundamenteel om die e-onderrig-en-leer raamwerk te onderbou en te ondersteun. ‘n Kritiese evaluasie van Suid-Afrikaanse onderwysbeleid (d.w.s. Witskrifte, die Norme and Standaarde vir Onderwysers en die konsepdokument oor die Voorsiening en Bestuur van Onderrig-, Leer- en Ondersteuningsmateriaal) is gedoen om vas te stel of die beleid wel e-onderrig-en-leer effektief ondersteun en prakties moontlik maak. ‘n Krities analitiese en vergelykende studie van die VSA (Verenigde State van Amerika), Finland en Malawi se onderwysstelsels- en wetgewing is gedoen in hoofstuk 5 deel 2 om te bepaal hoe dié lande onderwys struktureer en hoe e-onderrig-en–leer geadministreer word, sodat relevante voorstelle vir Suid-Afrika gemaak kan word en om insae te lewer in die ontwerp van ‘n e-onderrig-en-leer raamwerk toepaslik vir die Afrika-kontinent.
