Generalized Evidence Theory
Conflict management is still an open issue in the application of Dempster
Shafer evidence theory. A lot of works have been presented to address this
issue. In this paper, a new theory, called as generalized evidence theory
(GET), is proposed. Compared with existing methods, GET assumes that the
general situation is in open world due to the uncertainty and incomplete
knowledge. The conflicting evidence is handled under the framework of GET. It
is shown that the new theory can explain and deal with the conflicting evidence
in a more reasonable way.Comment: 39 pages, 5 figure
Extensions of a New Algorithm for the Numerical Solution of Linear Differential Systems on an Infinite Interval
This paper is part of a series of papers in which the asymptotic theory and
appropriate symbolic computer code are developed to compute the asymptotic
expansion of the solution of an n-th order ordinary differential equation. The
paper examines the situation when the matrix that appears in the Levinson
expansion has a double eigenvalue. Application is made to a fourth-order ODE
with known special function solution
Modelling the cooperative information filtering problem
In this paper, we present an original approach for modelling the cooperative information filtering problem using Logic of Infonnation Flow and Situation Theory .We describe the fundamental concepts of these theories and discuss crucial issues that arise during the exposition, such as defining Situation Theory as a Heyting algebra and showing that in our application this theory is well-founded
