    The Relationship between Performance Standards and Achieving the Objectives of Supervision at the Islamic University in Gaza

    The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between the performance criteria and the achievement of the objectives of supervision which is represented in the performance of the job at the Islamic University in Gaza Strip. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers used the descriptive analytical approach to collect information. The questionnaire consisted of (22) paragraphs distributed to three categories of employees of the Islamic University (senior management, faculty members, their assistants and members of the administrative board). A random sample of 314 employees was selected, 276 responses were retrieved with a return rate of 88.1%. The SPSS program was used to enter, process, and analyze the data. The results of the study showed a positive relationship between the performance criteria and the achievement of the control objectives represented by the job performance in the Islamic University from the point of view of the members (senior management, faculty and their assistants and the administrative board). The researchers also recommended a number of recommendations, including the provision of an appropriate level of control system components today through the continuous updating and development of performance standards and the need to provide the necessary physical and financial resources to continue the development and achievement within the university. Expand the development of technology in the various activities of the university through the construction of a complete and integrated system to support the control systems in the university to suit its size. The researchers also recommended the follow-up, review of the performance standards and work to modify them in line with the mission of the university and the goals that the university seeks to reach

    Customers Behavior Modeling by Semi-Supervised Learning in Customer Relationship Management

    Leveraging the power of increasing amounts of data to analyze customer base for attracting and retaining the most valuable customers is a major problem facing companies in this information age. Data mining technologies extract hidden information and knowledge from large data stored in databases or data warehouses, thereby supporting the corporate decision making process. CRM uses data mining (one of the elements of CRM) techniques to interact with customers. This study investigates the use of a technique, semi-supervised learning, for the management and analysis of customer-related data warehouse and information. The idea of semi-supervised learning is to learn not only from the labeled training data, but to exploit also the structural information in additionally available unlabeled data. The proposed semi-supervised method is a model by means of a feed-forward neural network trained by a back propagation algorithm (multi-layer perceptron) in order to predict the category of an unknown customer (potential customers). In addition, this technique can be used with Rapid Miner tools for both labeled and unlabeled data

    The role of urban built heritage in qualify and quantify resilience. Specific issues in Mediterranean city

    The Mediterranean city represents a significant example of urban organism, based on masonry construction and characterized by typological processes of growth. The material consistency and the temporal continuity of built heritage in Mediterranean city make relevant its interpretation and analysis according to the resilient approach. The declination of this approach in many disciplines generated a substantial diversity among the definitions of resilience (Francis and Bekera, 2014). Consequently, frameworks, adopted for a quantitative or qualitative assessment, underline the lack of standardization and rigor in defining resilience measurements. A review of resilience literature and actual applications in urban context permit to understand that there are different operators working on the field: on the one hand there are international organizations, on the other hand there are academics. The review of both the two ambits of investigation intends to clarify specific properties and convergence points in order to trace an evolution of conceptual framework and to identify general features of urban resilience. This process is fundamental in focusing the main aims of the research program: the definition of the role of urban built heritage, given by the close correlation between masonry constructive technique, typologies and morphologies, its material value in urban system, and its relevance in Mediterranean city in constitution of urban resilience (UNISDR, 2012a). Despite an increasing number of academic studies concerning the role of built environment in defining and improving cities resilience, their major attention is still focused on street patterns and lifelines infrastructures. The paper concludes how the role of built heritage remains insufficiently explored and a correct definition of urban structure is still missing inside the domain of infrastructural resilience

    E-module Based on Blended Learning for Islamic Religious Education Learning

    Islamic religious education is teaching, guidance, and care for students, who are expected to understand, appreciate, and practice the teachings of Islam and make it a way of life for individuals and society. The Covid-19 pandemic changed the teaching patterns in class, giving birth to distance learning patterns facilitated by digital technology-based online learning media to deliver learning. One of the digital technology-based learning media that can make learning more meaningful is blended learning-based e-modules. This research aimed to develop e-modules based on blended learning that can be used in Islamic Religious Education learning and accessed through devices. The method used in this research was the research and development method with the ADDIE approach, which includes five stages, namely the needs analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. This e-module is written in a communicative language accompanied by pictures and videos. The e-module contains learning activities following the blended learning syntax. This research was to test the feasibility of the e-module. The validation test assessment was a Likert scale questionnaire with expert respondents (material and media) and trials with teacher and student respondents. The results of this research were blended learning-based e-modules, which were validated and tested. Based on the preliminary research results, the developed e-module was expected to be suitable as a meaningful learning medium for students
