Managing construction site financial engagement is one of prerequisite of an effective site management system. In recent times, Building informatics concept has been useful in developing state of art equipment and process. In this study therefore, building informatics integrated system was generated, which could be adapted to financial management purpose on site. The research was carried out using qualitative research method; qualitative research method involved the use of structured questionnaire developed in Likert scale 1 to 5. Therefore with the aid of purposive sampling method, sixty (60) samples were picked comprising of construction professionals. Construction professional constitute the nucleus of the respondents. The statistical inference was carried out on the data with Relative agreement Index and presented in tables. Qualitative method was used to develop the proposed integrated system. The study developed an integrated system that could assist in overcoming the negative vices of payment on site. The following task was carried out in line with aim of the study: identification of existing web-based financial platform, critical success factor in deployment of payment interface, methods of preventing financial conflict on site, challenges of web- interface, critical success factor in deployment of payment interface, identification of strengths and weaknesses of existing web-based financial platforms, among others. The interface can help solve basic problem about financial payment difficulty on site. The direction of choice should be in automating different aspect of building and construction for maximum productivity. The system that was developed in the context of this study can help prevent cost overrun on site, payment conflict, and delay payment among others

San Diego has long been a geographically well-defined health care market with high managed care penetration and a consolidated provider sector. In recent years, hospital systems have faced increasing cost pressures as commercial health plans have responded to employer demands for more affordable premiums. Safety-net providers expanded capacity to deal with the large Medi-Cal expansion that began in 2014, but continue to grapple with how to provide adequate care for a new enrollee population that is far sicker, with more complex medical and social service needs, than the providers' previous patient base.Key developments include:While the hospital market remained largely stable in recent years, most of the smaller hospitals have been losing volume and struggling financially.Major systems are pursuing population health strategies and increasingly using provider-sponsored health plans to take full risk for more patients. The challenges of independent practice are leading many primary care physicians to choose employment at system-affiliated groups. In the two years since Medicaid eligibility was first expanded under the ACA, San Diego's Medi-Cal managed care enrollment almost doubled to 700,000. Many Medi-Cal enrollees without a regular primary care provider sought care at hospital emergency departments, and access gaps for many kinds of specialty care and behavioral health care were even more severe.San Diego County's commitment to providing health care for low-income residents continues to be limited, although the county Health and Human Services Agency has become more active in fostering collaborations between health and other social services

The world turned upside-down : architects as subcontractors in design-and-build contracts

The traditional role of the Architect on UK building projects is well-known and has been the subject of much study and comment. However, recent surveys indicate that design-and-build arrangements now exceed traditional procurement in terms of their share of total UK construction. On such projects, architects and other designers are engaged, not by the employer, but under sub-contract to the main contractor. The question arises as to the effect this has had. This has been approached by considering architects and other design consultants as professional contractors, as opposed to trade contractors - a term adopted to describe the more traditional type of subcontractor. Within these distinctions there are contractual, managerial and cultural implications for the relationships between the parties. To explore this further, representatives of five main contractors were questioned on their relationships with the two types. Clear differences emerged in matters such as contract formation, price-setting, payment and claims; the treatment of selection, work scheduling, and defects / omissions was more complicated. Within trade contractors there is a strong argument for recognising a further category of specialist contractors, who include a design service in their work package. Within the professional contractor category, architects were clearly differentiated from other design team members. The findings are analysed to suggest a theoretical framework with four dimensions that relate to process/product, attitude/motivation, working culture and relative power. The concern is not to be definitive at this stage, but to suggest an agenda for future research into the issues that have emerged

Project management and presentation of information in financial statements - company performance measurement or project performance measurement

The aim of the article is to draw the attention to the problems related to the presentation of the operational result in case of companies realizing projects contained in a financial report. The article is of discursive nature since the issues that it deals with usually depend on what given solution is selected by a unit in question. Moreover, some of the areas are subject to detailed regulations of the balance law (both domestically - the Act on Accounting and PL GAAP No. 3, and internationally - IAS/IFRS). However, their application may lead to ‘blurring’ a realistic and true picture of the capital and financial situation of a company realizing long-term projects.
