Trust Based Participant Driven Privacy Control in Participatory Sensing
Widespread use of sensors and multisensory personal devices generate a lot of
personal information. Sharing this information with others could help in
various ways. However, this information may be misused when shared with all.
Sharing of information between trusted parties overcomes this problem. This
paper describes a model to share information based on interactions and opinions
to build trust among peers. It also considers institutional and other controls,
which influence the behaviour of the peers. The trust and control build
confidence. The computed confidence bespeaks whether to reveal information or
not thereby increasing trusted cooperation among peers.Comment: 14 page
The State of e-Banking Implementation in Nigeria: A Post-Consolidation Review
The most widely used e-Banking instrument in ļæ½igeria is e-Payment, particularly the automatic teller machine
(ATM) card. However, with the adoption of e-Banking by all the banks in ļæ½igeria, the volume of cash in circulation
has continued to increase pre-and-post bank recapitalization/consolidation exercise. Furthermore, some of the 25 banks that survived the exercise were found lately to have depleted their capital base and have lost credibility before the consumers, e-Banking implementation notwithstanding.
Therefore, in this paper, we review the state of e-Banking implementation in ļæ½igeria and evaluate the influence of
trust on the adoption of e-Payment using an extended technology acceptance model (TAM). Similarly, we
investigate organizational reputation, perceived risk and perceived trust in the management of banks as a factor for
enhancing customer loyalty.
The findings in this work reveal that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are not only antecedent to ebanking
acceptance, they are also factors to retain customers to the use of e-banking system such as organizational
reputation, perceived risk and trust

E-Government evaluation factors: Citizenās perspective
The e-government field is growing to a considerable size, both in its contents and position with respect to other research fields. The government to citizen segment of egovernment is taking the lead in terms of its importance and size. Like the evaluation of all other information systems initiatives, the evaluation of egovernments in both theory and practice has proved to be important but complex. The complexity of evaluation is mostly due to the multiple perspectives involved, the difficulties of quantifying benefits, and the social and technical context of use. The importance of e-government evaluation is due to the enormous investment of governments on delivering e-government services, and to the considerable pace of growing in the e-government field. However, despite the importance of the evaluation of e-government services, literature shows that e-government evaluation is still an immature area in terms of development and management. This work is part of a research effort that aims to develop a holistic evaluation framework for e-government systems. The main aim of this paper is to investigate the citizenā perspective in evaluating e-government services, and present a set of evaluating factors that influence citizensā utilization of e-government services. These evaluation factors can serve as part of an e-government evaluation framework. Moreover, the evaluation factors can also be used as means of providing valuable feedback for the planning of future egovernment initiatives
