Adjustable dynamic range for paper reduction schemes in large-scale MIMO-OFDM systems
In a multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) communication system there is a necessity to limit the power that the output antenna amplifiers can deliver. Their signal is a
combination of many independent channels, so the demanded amplitude can peak to many times the average value. The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing
(OFDM) system causes high peak signals to occur because many subcarrier components are added by an inverse discrete Fourier transformation process at the base station. This causes out-of-band spectral regrowth. If simple clipping of the input signal is used, there will be in-band distortions in the transmitted signals and the bit error rate will increase substantially.
This work presents a novel technique that reduces the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). It is a combination of two main stages, a variable clipping level and an
Adaptive Optimizer that takes advantage of the channel state information sent from all users in the cell.
Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves a better overall system performance than that of conventional peak reduction systems in terms of the symbol
error rate. As a result, the linear output of the power amplifiers can be minimized with a great saving in cost
A wireless precoding technique for millimetre-wave MIMO system based on SIC-MMSE
A communication method is proposed using Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) precoding and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) technique for millimetre-wave multiple-input multiple-output (mm-Wave MIMO) based wireless communication system. The mm-Wave MIMO technology for wireless communication system is the base potential technology for its high data transfer rate followed by data instruction and low power consumption compared to Long-Term Evolution (LTE). The mm-Wave system is already available in indoor hotspot and Wi-Fi backhaul for its high bandwidth availability and potential lead to rate of numerous Gbps/user. But, in mobile wireless communication system this technique is lagging because the channel faces relative orthogonal coordination and multiple node detection problems while rapid movement of nodes (transmitter and receiver) occur. To improve the conventional mm-wave MIMO nodal detection and coordination performance, the system processes data using symbolized error vector technique for linearization. Then the MMSE precoding detection technique improves the link strength by constantly fitting the channel coefficients based on number of independent service antennas (M), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Channel Matrix (CM) and mean square errors (MSE). To maintain sequentially encoded user data connectivity and to overcome data loss, SIC method is used in combination with MMSE. MATLAB was used to validate the proposed system performance
Coordinated Per-Antenna Power Minimization for Multicell Massive MIMO Systems with Low-Resolution Data Converters
A multicell-coordinated beamforming solution for massive multiple-input
multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is
presented when employing low-resolution data converters and per-antenna level
constraints. For a more realistic deployment, we aim to find the downlink (DL)
beamformer that minimizes the maximum power on transmit antenna array of each
basestation under received signal quality constraints while minimizing
per-antenna transmit power. We show that strong duality holds between the
primal DL formulation and its manageable Lagrangian dual problem which can be
interpreted as the virtual uplink (UL) problem with adjustable noise covariance
matrices. For a fixed set of noise covariance matrices, we claim that the
virtual UL solution is effectively used to compute the DL beamformer and noise
covariance matrices can be subsequently updated with an associated subgradient.
Our primary contributions are then (1) formulating the quantized DL OFDM
antenna power minimax problem and deriving its associated dual problem, (2)
showing strong duality and interpreting the dual as a virtual quantized UL OFDM
problem, and (3) developing an iterative minimax algorithm based on the dual
problem. Simulations validate the proposed algorithm in terms of the maximum
antenna transmit power and peak-to-average-power ratio.Comment: submitted for possible IEEE journal publicatio
