    SISTEM PENGENDALIAN MUTU PADA INDUSTI PAKAIAN DENGAN METODE STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL

    Di era globalisasi saat ini, usaha kecil dan menengah harus dapat berkompetisi untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk yang dapat diterima dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu bisnis. Oleh karena itu, jumlah kerusakan pada proses produksi harus dikurangi, terlebih dalam industri pakaian. Pada proses desain pakaian terdapat beberapa fase yang terjadi seperti pemilihan kain, pemotongan, penjahitan, hingga pengepakan dan inspeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem pengendalian mutu pada usaha kecil menengah industri pakaian di daerah Kudus, Indonesia. Cara pertama yang digunakan untuk melakukan pengendalian mutu ialah dengan menggunakan aplikasi mobile yang digunakan oleh auditor untuk melakukan pengecekan proses produksi dan mengirim data defect ke database. Sedangkan cara kedua dengan menggunakan website untuk mengelola data produksi yang dilakukan oleh administrator. Perhitungan p-chart bulan Januari sampai Maret menunjukkan proses produksi cukup terkendali, karena proporsi yang ditemukan masih berada dalam rentang UCL dan LCL. Namun, untuk kemampuan proses dikatakan belum mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan produksi, karena salah satu dari nilai Cp 1,84 dan Cpk 0,85 tidak melebihi standar yaitu kedua nilai tersebut harus lebih atau sama dengan satu. Sedangkan level six sigma dengan nilai 4.987 berada pada yield (persentase barang yang dapat diterima) yang berkisar antara 99,38% sampai dengan 99,977%. Pengujian sistem menggunakan dua pendekatan, yaitu black box dan white box. Dari kedua pengujian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun dapat diterima dan beroperasi dengan benar. Therefore, defective rates product should reducing, more over in the process of apparel production. The process design of apparel consist of various phase with the base fabric component, cutting, tailoring until finishing and inspecting. The research aims to develop a quality control system on Small and Medium Enterprises in apparel production as the case study in Kudus, Indonesia. The first way that used to perform quality control is by using a mobile application that is used by auditors to do the checking of the production process and transmit data defects to the database. While the second way by using websites to manage production data is done by an administrator. Calculation of the p-chart in January through March showed the production process was quite restrained, because the proportions were found to still be in range of UCL and LCL. However, the process ability not able to meet production needs, because one of the values of Cp (1,84) and Cpk (0,85) does not exceed the standard value that both of Cp and Cpk should be more or equal to one. While, the value level of six sigma at 4,987, so yield (the percentage of goods that can be accepted) that ranged between 99.38% up to 99.977%. Testing system using two approaches, namely the black box and white box. From both of these tests showed that the system was built to be accepted and operating properly.     An Efficient Approach towards Network Routing using Genetic Algorithm

    The network field has been very popular in recent times and has aroused much of the attention of researchers. The network must keep working with the varying infrastructure and must adapt to rapid topology changes. Graphical representation of the networks with a series of edges varying over time can help in analysis and study. This paper presents a novel adaptive and dynamic network routing algorithm based on a Regenerate Genetic Algorithm (RGA) with the analysis of network delays. With the help of RGA at least a very good path, if not the shortest one, can be found starting from the origin and leading to a destination. Many algorithms are devised to solve the shortest path (SP) problem for example Dijkstra algorithm which can solve polynomial SP problems. These are equally effective in wired as well as wireless networks with fixed infrastructure. But the same algorithms offer exponential computational complexity in dealing with the real-time communication for rapidly changing network topologies. The proposed genetic algorithm (GA) provides more efficient and dynamic solutions despite changes in network topology, network change, link or node deletion from the network, and the network volume (with numerous routes)

    A repairing missing activities approach with succession relation for event logs

    In the field of process mining, it is worth noting that process mining techniques assume that the resulting event logs can not only continuously record the occurrence of events but also contain all event data. However, like in IoT systems, data transmission may fail due to weak signal or resource competition, which causes the company’s information system to be unable to keep a complete event log. Based on a incomplete event log, the process model obtained by using existing process mining technologies is deviated from actual business process to a certain degree. In this paper, we propose a method for repairing missing activities based on succession relation of activities from event logs. We use an activity relation matrix to represent the event log and cluster it. The number of traces in the cluster is used as a measure of similarity calculation between incomplete traces and cluster results. Parallel activities in selecting pre-occurrence and post-occurrence activities of missing activities from incomplete traces are considered. Experimental results on real-life event logs show that our approach performs better than previous method in repairing missing activities.N/

    International Student Projects and Sustainable Development Goals: A Perfect Match

    Engineering Education is currently going through a transformation, driven by the need for educating better engineers and more engineers, and largely build on elements such as problem orientation, interdisciplinarity, internationalization, digitalization and sustainability. In 2020, the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership EPIC (Improving Employability Through Internationalization and Collaboration) has combined all these elements, and demonstrated how international and interdisciplinary student projects, focusing on solving real-world problems related to sustainability, can be carried out in a setting where students mainly work together online. A total of 56 students from 7 EU and 2 international universities, with backgrounds ranging from Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to Textile Technologies and Business Informatics were working on 9 different projects throughout the spring of 2020. The paper presents the experiences from the setup and discusses some general recommendations for setting up this type of projects. The paper goes through the stages of defining and carrying out the projects: Defining the overall framework, identifying problems/project proposals in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, identifying the students and assigning students to projects, preparing students and supervisors, organising the physical kick-off seminar, and supporting the online collaboration. We also discuss evaluation and hand-over of the solutions, to ensure the projects have a lasting impact. We conclude that the sustainable development goals provide a highly motivating framework for interdisciplinary, international student projects based on problem-based learning. We also note that a careful design and execution of the all the preparatory stages are crucial in order for the projects to succeed, and discuss specific recommendations for these.</p

    PBL Student Projects and Sustainable Development Goals: A Case Study

    Working with the Sustainable Development Goals can be a highly motivating factor in Problem Based Learning, especially if the solutions produced can be used afterwards and have an actual impact on people and communities. This paper describes how three engineering students from Aalborg University, Denmark, collaborated with the South African Organisation Green Shoots on bringing IT-supported Math education out to some of the most disadvantaged learners from townships and rural areas of the Western Cape. The project provided the Danish students with a unique learning experience and have a lasting impact on the communities involved. While the content of the project focused on bringing IT-supported Math education to learners in previously disadvantaged areas around the Western Cape, the project also provided valuable insight into how such students’ projects, where the outcomes benefit people and communities suffering from socio-economic challenges e.g. poverty, can be carried out. In addition to demonstrate that such projects are actually possible, we studied three critical aspects: How to ensure a good fit between learning objectives and project outcome, how to ensure that the project creates value for the partner organisation and communities, and how to ensure that the projects can be conducted without overloading the university supervisors. We believe that student projects focusing on SDGs have a big potential in terms of providing highly motivating student projects yet at the same time contribute to a better world through solutions that are being used even afterwards. However, our study was just a single case with one group of three students. We hope it will serve as inspiration for larger studies, where more quantitative data could be gathered in terms of how to establish a good framework around such projects, and in order to demonstrate the value for students and societies
