Lifelong Learning CRF for Supervised Aspect Extraction
This paper makes a focused contribution to supervised aspect extraction. It
shows that if the system has performed aspect extraction from many past domains
and retained their results as knowledge, Conditional Random Fields (CRF) can
leverage this knowledge in a lifelong learning manner to extract in a new
domain markedly better than the traditional CRF without using this prior
knowledge. The key innovation is that even after CRF training, the model can
still improve its extraction with experiences in its applications.Comment: Accepted at ACL 2017. arXiv admin note: text overlap with

Semi-Supervised Learning for Neural Keyphrase Generation
We study the problem of generating keyphrases that summarize the key points
for a given document. While sequence-to-sequence (seq2seq) models have achieved
remarkable performance on this task (Meng et al., 2017), model training often
relies on large amounts of labeled data, which is only applicable to
resource-rich domains. In this paper, we propose semi-supervised keyphrase
generation methods by leveraging both labeled data and large-scale unlabeled
samples for learning. Two strategies are proposed. First, unlabeled documents
are first tagged with synthetic keyphrases obtained from unsupervised keyphrase
extraction methods or a selflearning algorithm, and then combined with labeled
samples for training. Furthermore, we investigate a multi-task learning
framework to jointly learn to generate keyphrases as well as the titles of the
articles. Experimental results show that our semi-supervised learning-based
methods outperform a state-of-the-art model trained with labeled data only.Comment: To appear in EMNLP 2018 (12 pages, 7 figures, 6 tables
Basic tasks of sentiment analysis
Subjectivity detection is the task of identifying objective and subjective
sentences. Objective sentences are those which do not exhibit any sentiment.
So, it is desired for a sentiment analysis engine to find and separate the
objective sentences for further analysis, e.g., polarity detection. In
subjective sentences, opinions can often be expressed on one or multiple
topics. Aspect extraction is a subtask of sentiment analysis that consists in
identifying opinion targets in opinionated text, i.e., in detecting the
specific aspects of a product or service the opinion holder is either praising
or complaining about
