The article reflects some outcomes of the author’s scientific research which has been conducted for recent few years. The purpose of the study was to reveal the most influential socio-economic trends that have determined the development of the contemporary social and economic systems, including business. In doing so, there has been precised the notion of a socio-economic megatrend (SEM), there have been conceptualized and systematized some key SEMs which produced an impact on the formation of modern society, influence the development of postmodern society and will contribute to the constitution of future society. In the very frame, it has been traced the impact of each of the SEM revealed upon the development of business activity

It all began in June 2000. The school districts of Newton Public, Andover Regional, and Green Township, New Jersey contracted Guidelines, Inc., Huntington, Long Island, New York to conduct a Grades K-12 Regionallshared Services Feasibility Study. The study was funed via a New Jersey state grant from the Regional Efficiency Development Incentive Program (REDI) Grant Program. The study\u27s executive summary included the objective: To provide information to aid school board members, school officials, and other interested parties in determining whether a K- 12 regional pattern appears feasible and desirable and the extent to which a K- 12 Regionalization Regional Study should be further considered (Savitt, 2000, p. 1). The purpose for this researcher\u27s study was to examine selected organizational constructs that may influence a Tri-District model for shared services as projected for future needs. This study resulted in bona fide research to inform local and school district decision-makers and to provide data for aspiring administrators. This examination was presented as a nonexperimental, retrospective, descriptive case study. Using this design and method, this researcher was able to propose selected organizational constructs that may influence a Tri-District model for shared services, The findings support the use of these constructs by linking them with specific shared-service areas as a means to achieve a beneficial outcome. One of the key findings of this examination included a discussion about people and relationships. These features with this examination\u27s purpose provided the necessary information for a Tri-District shared-services model that can be realistic, meaningful, and relevant

Characteristics of Implementation of Distance Remote Access to Learning in Russian Universities

    Get PDF
The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of implementation of remote access to learning at university basing on distance learning technology. The basic methods for the relevant problem studying are pedagogical experiment, expert assessment methods, and statistical processing of quantitative results of the research. The experiment involves the students and professors of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU), the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (RSPU) and Chelyabinsk State University (CSU). The promising areas of distance learning and its effectiveness have been analyzed and generalized. In addition, factors and conditions for providing quick access to the Internet for the educational process have been identified. The substantive aspect of the implementation of remote access to learning in terms of the Major Professional Educational Programs (MPEP) in the field of Pedagogical Education is examined in order to identify their relevance to the distance learning implementation at university. The most widespread digital services have been studied in addition to their effectiveness for the development of training materials that provide educational opportunities of distance learning in terms of the implementation of remote access to learning. The significance of the implementation of distance remote learning for future teachers training at universities is determined. The results of the study prove the necessity to develop educational and methodological materials for the implementation of new form of training in NEFU, RSPU and CSU

Emergency care providers share a compelling interest in developing an effective patient‐centered, outcomes‐based research agenda that can decrease variability in pediatric outcomes. The 2018 Academic Emergency Medicine Consensus Conference “Aligning the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Research Agenda to Reduce Health Outcome Gaps (AEMCC)” aimed to fulfill this role. This conference convened major thought leaders and stakeholders to introduce a research, scholarship, and innovation agenda for pediatric emergency care specifically to reduce health outcome gaps. Planning committee and conference participants included emergency physicians, pediatric emergency physicians, pediatricians, and researchers with expertise in research dissemination and translation, as well as comparative effectiveness, in collaboration with patients, patient and family advocates from national advocacy organizations, and trainees. Topics that were explored and deliberated through subcommittee breakout sessions led by content experts included 1) pediatric emergency medical services research, 2) pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) research network collaboration, 3) PEM education for emergency medicine providers, 4) workforce development for PEM, and 5) enhancing collaboration across emergency departments (PEM practice in non–children’s hospitals). The work product of this conference is a research agenda that aims to identify areas of future research, innovation, and scholarship in PEM.Peer Reviewedhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/146868/1/acem13667.pdfhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/146868/2/acem13667_am.pd

Often during a system Product Development program external factors or requirements change, forcing system design change. This uncertainty adversely affects program outcome, adding to development time and cost, production cost, and compromise to system performance. We present a development approach that minimizes the impacts, by considering the possibility of changes in the external factors and the implications of mid-course design changes. The approach considers the set of alternative designs and the burdens of a mid-course change from one design to another in determining the relative value of a specific design. The approach considers and plans parallel development of alternative designs with progressive selection of options, including time-versus-cost tradeoffs and the impact change-costs. The approach includes a framework of the development process that addresses design and integration lead-times, and their relationship to the time-order of design decisions, and the time-dependent burden of design changes
