Building an embedded enterprise performance management solution : an exploratory case study
Project Work presented as partial requirement for obtaining the master’s degree in Statistics and Information Systems and Information Technologies ManagementNowadays most companies are struggling to manage large data and spending a lot of money on storing and capturing. To benefit from the stored data, enterprises implement Business Intelligence solutions and technology-driven processes. The most significant advantage of BI is analyzing actionable information and data-driven business decisions for executives and managers. Since technology is evolving very fast, Business Intelligence processes are getting more advanced every day. These advancements are promoting accountability, visibility, timely actionable information, increased return on investment, connected business processes, standardized management processes and augmented organizational flexibility. In a relationship with BI, enterprise performance management provides more predictable answers on these advancements by improving planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and consolidation.
Therefore, this study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the implementation processes of embedded Enterprise Performance Management Solutions in ERP Embedded BI Platforms by revealing its methodology, steps, significant milestones, and effectiveness of the organizational structure. The embedded approach is going to be maintained by Business Intelligence based Business Planning and Consolidation tool on Enterprise Resource Planning System. Embedded Enterprise Performance Management solutions consist of Analysis Reporting, Business Planning, and Consolidation. Thoroughly they cover budgeting, planning, and consolidation as an advance altogether. The Implementation of an artefact aims to satisfy market competition requirements and to compete with financial demands which are originated from the growth rate at the organizational level

TELEOPERATED SYSTEM WITH ACCELEROMETERS FOR DISABILITY
This project involves the implementation of a teleoperated arm using an embedded platform based on a reconfigurable logic device (FPGA) configured and programmed in VHDL for Atmega 328p, using servomotors MG996R brand and a communication terminal with accelerometers, scheduled language C. the system is incompatible with teleoperated robotic autonomy (understood as the case where control and decision making are performed by the robot itself). That is why robots are teleoperated tasks perception of the environment, complex manipulation that are performed by humans and planning, ie, the operator acts in real time closed loop control high level. The evolved systems provide sensory feedback to the operator environment (strength, distance). In this manipulation we used an anthropomorphic arm with automatic controllers that replicate the movements of the operator
Mixing representation levels: The hybrid approach to automatic text generation
Natural language generation systems (NLG) map non-linguistic representations
into strings of words through a number of steps using intermediate
representations of various levels of abstraction. Template based systems, by
contrast, tend to use only one representation level, i.e. fixed strings, which
are combined, possibly in a sophisticated way, to generate the final text.
In some circumstances, it may be profitable to combine NLG and template based
techniques. The issue of combining generation techniques can be seen in more
abstract terms as the issue of mixing levels of representation of different
degrees of linguistic abstraction. This paper aims at defining a reference
architecture for systems using mixed representations. We argue that mixed
representations can be used without abandoning a linguistically grounded

High quality instruction is essential to producing developmental gains for young children and can mitigate risk factors such as family poverty and low parental education. Even in programs with highly qualified teachers, teacher-child interactions often do not provide the level of instructional support that children need to be well-prepared for success in kindergarten. In order to improve instructional quality, an emerging focus on early childhood professional development involves supporting leaders in creating a web of supports for teacher learning and child growth. The purpose of the 3-year evaluation study was to assess the effectiveness of an Early Childhood Education Professional Development Initiative (ECE PDI) in advancing the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of community-based early childhood leaders and teachers in relation to creating the conditions for superior developmental outcomes for low-income students served by these community-based centers. An Expressive Language and Efficient Execution System for Software Agents
Software agents can be used to automate many of the tedious, time-consuming
information processing tasks that humans currently have to complete manually.
However, to do so, agent plans must be capable of representing the myriad of
actions and control flows required to perform those tasks. In addition, since
these tasks can require integrating multiple sources of remote information ?
typically, a slow, I/O-bound process ? it is desirable to make execution as
efficient as possible. To address both of these needs, we present a flexible
software agent plan language and a highly parallel execution system that enable
the efficient execution of expressive agent plans. The plan language allows
complex tasks to be more easily expressed by providing a variety of operators
for flexibly processing the data as well as supporting subplans (for
modularity) and recursion (for indeterminate looping). The executor is based on
a streaming dataflow model of execution to maximize the amount of operator and
data parallelism possible at runtime. We have implemented both the language and
executor in a system called THESEUS. Our results from testing THESEUS show that
streaming dataflow execution can yield significant speedups over both
traditional serial (von Neumann) as well as non-streaming dataflow-style
execution that existing software and robot agent execution systems currently
support. In addition, we show how plans written in the language we present can
represent certain types of subtasks that cannot be accomplished using the
languages supported by network query engines. Finally, we demonstrate that the
increased expressivity of our plan language does not hamper performance;
specifically, we show how data can be integrated from multiple remote sources
just as efficiently using our architecture as is possible with a
state-of-the-art streaming-dataflow network query engine
