    Ein Verfahren zur gĂĽteoptimalen Parametrierung von PID-Reglern

    In der vorliegenden Dissertation wird ein Verfahren zur automatischen global güteoptimalen Parametrierung sollwertgewichteter PID-Regler vorgestellt. Hierzu wird ein Überblick über bestehende PID-Parametrierungsverfahren gegeben und deren Unzulänglichkeiten aufgeführt, sowie bestehende Möglichkeiten und Indizes zur Regelgütebewertung erörtert. Die güteoptimale Parametrierung des betrachteten sollwertgewichteten PID-Reglers wird in Form zweier nacheinander zu lösender Minimierungsprobleme formuliert und es wird gezeigt, wie sich die Konvexität dieser Probleme auf die Konvexität der Parametermengen, über welche die Parametrierung durchgeführt wird, zurückführen lässt. Zur Bestimmung dieser Parametermengen werden Verfahren gezeigt, anhand derer sich die Menge aller stabilisierenden PID-Parameter bestimmen und auf Konvexität prüfen lässt. Im Anschluss werden iterative Algorithmen präsentiert die ein beliebig genaues Auffinden des globalen Optimums der Parametrierungsprobleme ermöglichen. Hierauf basierend wird ein Verfahren zur automatischen güteoptimalen Parametrierung von PID-Reglern vorgestellt, welches die gezeigten Algorithmen mit einer Versuchsplanung kombiniert und als Vorgehensweise für die global güteoptimale Parametrierung formuliert wird. Ferner wird die Anwendung des Verfahrens für die Parametrierung der sollwertgewichteten PI-Füllhöhenregelung eines Rührkesselreaktors in Simulation und realer Anwendung demonstriert.The dissertation at hand introduces a procedure for automatic global performance optimal tuning of setpoint weighted PID-controllers. To this end, an overview of existing PID-tuning methods and PID performance evaluations is given and the shortcomings of existing tuning methods are discussed. Performance optimal tuning of the setpoint weighted PID-controller considered here is formulated as the consecutive solution of two minimisation problems. Furthermore, it is being shown how convexity of these problems can be traced to convexity of the parameter sets over which parameterisation is being conducted. In order to determine those parameter sets, methods are introduced to determine the set of all stabilising PID-Parameters and check this set for convexity. Iterative algorithms are presented that allow solving the parameterisation problems to their global optimum with arbitrary accuracy. Based on this a procedure for automatic global performance optimal PID tuning is proposed. This procedure combines the introduced algorithms with a design of experiment and is formulated as a methodology for parameterisation. Application of the procedure is demonstrated by tuning a setpoint weighted PI level controller for a continuous stirred tank heater in simulation and real world application

    Performance of Induction Machines

    Induction machines are one of the most important technical applications for both the industrial world and private use. Since their invention (achievements of Galileo Ferraris, Nikola Tesla, and Michal Doliwo-Dobrowolski), they have been widely used in different electrical drives and as generators, thanks to their features such as reliability, durability, low price, high efficiency, and resistance to failure. The methods for designing and using induction machines are similar to the methods used in other electric machines but have their own specificity. Many issues discussed here are based on the fundamental achievements of authors such as Nasar, Boldea, Yamamura, Tegopoulos, and Kriezis, who laid the foundations for the development of induction machines, which are still relevant today. The control algorithms are based on the achievements of Blaschke (field vector-oriented control) and Depenbrock or Takahashi (direct torque control), who created standards for the control of induction machines. Today’s induction machines must meet very stringent requirements of reliability, high efficiency, and performance. Thanks to the application of highly efficient numerical algorithms, it is possible to design induction machines faster and at a lower cost. At the same time, progress in materials science and technology enables the development of new machine topologies. The main objective of this book is to contribute to the development of induction machines in all areas of their applications
