Trust in electronic banking
Trust among stakeholders is vital for the successful implementation of IS projects such as electronic banking, because such IS initiative do not typically require face-to-face interactions. The Business-to-Business (B2B) model is an example of a relationship that facilitates the implementation of electronic banking. For example, ICT suppliers in alliance with banks to provide and support the IT infrastructure required for electronic banking implementation. These different stakeholders may have different perceptions of trust, which may affect electronic banking implementation. This short paper’s aim is to examine how trust from the stakeholder theory perspective impacts the implementation of electronic banking. This paper proposes, from the stakeholder perspective, an integrated framework that conceptualizes trust between B2B relationships as antecedent to the successful implementation of electronic banking. The research will be based on the multi-case study method. Our proposed study provides a foundation for researchers and practitioners alike in understanding the concept of trust and its impact on IS projects
A Research Agenda for Studying Open Source I: A Multi-Level Framework
This paper presents a research agenda for studying information systems using open source software A multi-level research model is developed at five discrete levels of analysis: (1) the artifact; (2) the individual; (3) the team, project, and community; (4) the organization; and (5) society. Each level is discussed in terms of key issues within the level. Examples are based on prior research. Collaborative multidisciplinary learning : quantity surveying students’ perspectives
The construction industry is highly fragmented and is known for its adversarial culture, culminating
in poor quality projects not completed on time or within budget. The aim of this study is thus to
guide the design of QS programme curricula in order to help students develop the requisite
knowledge and skills to work more collaboratively in their multi-disciplinary future workplaces.
A qualitative approach was considered appropriate as the authors were concerned with gathering an
initial understanding of what students think of multi-disciplinary learning. The data collection
method used was a questionnaire which was developed by the Behaviours4Collaboration (B4C)
team.
Knowledge gaps were still found across all the key areas where a future QS practitioner needs to be
collaborative (either as a project contributor or as a project leader) despite the need for change
instigated by the multi-disciplinary (BIM) education revolution.
The study concludes that universities will need to be selective in teaching, and innovative in
reorienting, QS education so that a collaborative BIM education can be effected in stages, increasing
in complexity as the students’ technical knowledge grows. This will help students to build the
competencies needed to make them future leaders. It will also support programme currency and
delivery
Implementing e-Services in Lagos State, Nigeria: the interplay of Cultural Perceptions and Working Practices during an automation initiative : Nigeria e-government culture and working practices
Accepted for publication in a forthcoming issue of Government Information Quarterly.The public sector’s adoption of Information and Communication Technologies is often seen as a way of increasing efficiency. However, developing public e-Services involves a series of organisational and social complexities. In this paper, we examine the organisational issues of implementing an ERP system, which was designed and developed within the context of Lagos State’s e-Services project. By doing so, we showcase the impact of organisational cultural perceptions and working practices of individuals. Our findings illustrate the strong role of cultural dimensions, particularly those pertaining to religion and multi-ethnicity. Our study provides insights to international organisations and governments alike toward project policy formulation within the context of ICT-based initiatives and reforms that aim to bring forward developmental progress.Peer reviewedFinal Accepted Versio
A New Fuzzy MCDM Framework to Evaluate E-Government Security Strategy
Ensuring security of e-government applications and infrastructures is crucial
to maintain trust among stakeholders to store, process and exchange information
over the e-government systems. Due to dynamic and continuous threats on
e-government information security, policy makers need to perform evaluation on
existing information security strategy as to deliver trusted e-government
services. This paper presents an information security evaluation framework
based on new fuzzy multi criteria decision making (MCDM) to help policy makers

Living Innovation Laboratory Model Design and Implementation
Living Innovation Laboratory (LIL) is an open and recyclable way for
multidisciplinary researchers to remote control resources and co-develop user
centered projects. In the past few years, there were several papers about LIL
published and trying to discuss and define the model and architecture of LIL.
People all acknowledge about the three characteristics of LIL: user centered,
co-creation, and context aware, which make it distinguished from test platform
and other innovation approaches. Its existing model consists of five phases:
initialization, preparation, formation, development, and evaluation.
Goal Net is a goal-oriented methodology to formularize a progress. In this
thesis, Goal Net is adopted to subtract a detailed and systemic methodology for
LIL. LIL Goal Net Model breaks the five phases of LIL into more detailed steps.
Big data, crowd sourcing, crowd funding and crowd testing take place in
suitable steps to realize UUI, MCC and PCA throughout the innovation process in
LIL 2.0. It would become a guideline for any company or organization to develop
a project in the form of an LIL 2.0 project.
To prove the feasibility of LIL Goal Net Model, it was applied to two real
cases. One project is a Kinect game and the other one is an Internet product.
They were both transformed to LIL 2.0 successfully, based on LIL goal net based
methodology. The two projects were evaluated by phenomenography, which was a
qualitative research method to study human experiences and their relations in
hope of finding the better way to improve human experiences. Through
phenomenographic study, the positive evaluation results showed that the new
generation of LIL had more advantages in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.Comment: This is a book draf

A conceptual model for global multi-channel customer management
Previous Global CRM research has recommended that scholars reassess all of CRM systems in global environment (Ward 2005; Ramaseshan et al., 2006). Channel management is one CRM systems component much influenced by the behaviour of customers in relation to the implementation and use of channel management CRM component. The consumers’ behaviours, preferences, perceptions and expectations are crucial for the implementation and use of channel management. Customers’ contact with the organization’s multi-channels can occur at several touch points through out customer lifecycle. Customers’ behaviours may be differentiated according to the individual or micro level, but it might also differ at an ecological or macro level of analysis. A new governance approach for multi-firm projects: lessons from Olkiluoto 3 and Flamanville 3 nuclear power plant projects
We analyze governance in two contemporary nuclear power plant projects: Olkiluoto 3 (Finland) and Flamanville 3 (France). We suggest that in the governance of large multi-firm projects, any of the prevalent governance approaches that rely on market, hierarchy, or hybrid forms, is not adequate as such. This paper opens up avenues towards a novel theory of governance in large projects by adopting a project network view with multiple networked firms within a single project, and by simultaneously going beyond organizational forms that cut across the traditional firm–market dichotomy. Our analysis suggests four changes in the prevailing perspective towards the governance of large projects. First, there should be a shift from viewing multi-firm projects as hierarchical contract organizations to viewing them as supply networks characterized by a complex and networked organizational structure. Second, there should be a shift in the emphasis of the predominant modes of governance, market and hierarchy towards novel governance approaches that emphasize network-level mechanisms such as self-regulation within the project. Third, there should be a shift from viewing projects as temporary endeavors to viewing projects as short-term events or episodes embedded in the long-term sphere of shared history and expected future activities among the involved actors. Fourth, there should be a shift from the prevailing narrow view of a hierarchical project management system towards an open system view of managing in complex and challenging institutional environments
