The Puppets Look Like Flowers At Last

The urge to uncover aspects of human condition permeates my work, from the fundamental curiosity of a child tearing apart their doll to uncover what lies within to continuing a quest in uncovering basic human urges through my puppet animated dramas and tragedies. There is a controversial line between the childlike and the adult-like that can be ambiguous, and at some times more discernible while other times less. I create handcrafted stop-frame puppet animations that explore self-conscious emotions such as embarrassment, shame, and envy within unpredictable life scenarios. These are animations about inner life, attempting to resolve conflicting elements of the human psyche. At first glance, these puppets might appear scary, but upon closer observation the viewer may realize it is the puppet who is scared

Traditional Malay theatre arts such as Wayang Kulit Kelantan or Shadow Play puppet Kelantan in Malaysia has been a form of entertainment. Unfortunately, this shadow play puppet has lost it touch and is slowly fading among the society in Malaysia. This paper will focus both on the traditional method and the animation method to create Kelantan shadow play 3D visualization digital puppetry. The paper will begin with some research on previous work related to traditional shadow play puppet and will name some efforts made to digitizing this type of performance. The paper will also look into the results of comparing the two techniques. The final section of the paper will attempt to highlight the challenges and future aspects of animation and traditional shadow play that would be significant in helping bring back the popularity of this Malaysian performing arts masterpiece

    Drugs effect

This thesis project is a 3 minutes 30 seconds computer generated animation that includes 2D graphics design, 2D animation, 3D modeling and animation. In addition, an optional interactive multimedia project serves as the introduction to this animation. I chose this subject because I think computer graphics is a tool that enables the impossible to become possible. The illusory effects of drug abuse by the user can be portrayed by means of computer graphics. The main focus of this thesis project is to try to make my audience (youth) understand that drugs abuse is the point of no return. One becomes the puppet controlled only by drugs. The inevitable illusion of drugs is like a sweet dream in a bubble; it might be beautiful and fantastic, but it is not true and can be easily broken

However she finds her lover at in end by accident (Because there really was an accident). This short film is a 3D (three-dimensional) computer animation, which means that the final vision appears on the screen was generated by using computer 3D software. It is all done by a series of different processes like modeling, shading, rigging, lighting, rendering, etc. This paper analyzes and delineates the entire process of making this film from five different main stages. They are ideas, pre-production, production, post-production, and final conclusion and experiences

3D Animation: Creating an Experiential Environment.

This thesis is a supporting paper for three of my 3D animations created and presented for a Master of Fine Arts graduate exhibition. It discusses how the two realms of graphic design and 3D animation helped me to develop my heuristic techniques of creating animations. Using the three animations as examples, I make an attempt to explain how linear and figurative images influence each other in the creative process of creature/character development. I also discuss the various influences and cumulative explorations behind the imageries of animation. A brief discussion about Asian Indian aesthetic concepts and the general methodology of creating 3D animation using Alias|Wavefront Maya is also included

The project focuses on computer tools suitable for particular game genres and how they are used to develop 3D computer games. As part of learning about the tools, the author developed a 3D computer adventure game called Adventures of Smiley using Macromedia Director MX and 3D Studio Max. The game\u27s purpose is to engage children using a friendly interface while they learn about different topics in various subject areas through lessons and puzzles. The research gathered information about the current game industry, technologies and game genres, which can be used as a reference for the beginning level game programmer. The project documentation and the game are also published on the Internet and can be freely accessed online
