Exponentiated Extended Weibull-Power Series Class of Distributions
In this paper, we introduce a new class of distributions by compounding the
exponentiated extended Weibull family and power series family. This
distribution contains several lifetime models such as the complementary
extended Weibull-power series, generalized exponential-power series,
generalized linear failure rate-power series, exponentiated Weibull-power
series, generalized modified Weibull-power series, generalized Gompertz-power
series and exponentiated extended Weibull distributions as special cases. We
obtain several properties of this new class of distributions such as Shannon
entropy, mean residual life, hazard rate function, quantiles and moments. The

The Transmuted Weibull-Pareto Distribution
A new generalization of the Weibull-Pareto distribution called the transmuted Weibull-Pareto distribution is proposed and studied. Various mathematical properties of this distribution including ordinary and incomplete moments, quantile and generating functions, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves and order statistics are derived. The method of maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters. The flexibility of the new lifetime model is illustrated by means of an application to a real data set
Transmuted Lindley-Geometric Distribution and its applications
A functional composition of the cumulative distribution function of one
probability distribution with the inverse cumulative distribution function of
another is called the transmutation map. In this article, we will use the
quadratic rank transmutation map (QRTM) in order to generate a flexible family
of probability distributions taking Lindley geometric distribution as the base
value distribution by introducing a new parameter that would offer more
distributional flexibility. It will be shown that the analytical results are
