Governing Principles of Self-Sovereign Identity Applied to Blockchain Enabled Privacy Preserving Identity Management Systems
Digital identity is the key element of digital transformation in representing any real-world entity in the digital form. To ensure a successful digital future the requirement for an effective digital identity is paramount, especially as demand increases for digital services. Several Identity Management (IDM) systems are developed to cope with identity effectively, nonetheless, existing IDM systems have some limitations corresponding to identity and its management such as sovereignty, storage and access control, security, privacy and safeguarding, all of which require further improvement. Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) is an emerging IDM system which incorporates several required features to ensure that identity is sovereign, secure, reliable and generic. It is an evolving IDM system, thus it is essential to analyse its various features to determine its effectiveness in coping with the dynamic requirements of identity and its current challenges. This paper proposes numerous governing principles of SSI to analyse any SSI ecosystem and its effectiveness. Later, based on the proposed governing principles of SSI, it performs a comparative analysis of the two most popular SSI ecosystems uPort and Sovrin to present their effectiveness and limitations
Integrated Single Sign-On System on Open Nebula
The purpose of this research is to make comparative analysis on the single sign-on systems called Shibboleth and Identity Management Machine in order to choose a preferable system to integrate with a cloud infrastructure, OpenNebula. This paper addresses the criteria that an individual has to look at in order to choose a more suitable single sign-on system for implementation. This study is based on the research methodology started by defining problem statement and then making research and analyse the information. Therefore, it has been done by using research and experiment method. The result of the research was likely impact the experiment phase in this project. The research has been conducted for 27 weeks and the result from the research phase provided valuable information for the next phase of the project which was the experiment phase
Characteriologic Context of Service Assessment
Powerfully marked concept by the new economic paradigm, the service quality imply and economic parameters and psycho-social dimensions, leading to a multidisciplinary, sectorial and sequentially approach, in an effort to create an object-oriented reference framework to ensure recognition by the consumer and social accreditation. Service diversity and specificity require the evaluation and the analysis of the quality based on typological coordinates of definition operationalization. The conceptualization of quality is characterized by dynamism, systemic approach, integrating and procedural feature in an evaluative-comparative approach. The fundamental importance of quality in the competitiveness and prosperity of an enterprise resulted into the completeness of its approach as overall quality across the entire lifecycle and on the level of every organizational structure, its acknowledgement on top management level attaining at the consumers’ as well as own employees’ satisfaction. As a dichotomy approach, the evaluation of quality is performed in the context of its perception relativization by the consumer’s standards of quality and by services standards of the provider, requiring the implementation of some value-regulatory systems specific to the types of services on sectorial and private level. The simplex of values, granting identity of appreciation tends, in time, by its cognitive balance to preserve a common definition basis of quality and to and to complementarize through the motivational balance, the interests of the consumer and the provider, noting that the economic operator’s margin is determined by the perceived performance.quality; need; satisfaction; utility; value; simplexy of values.

Collaborative systems for enhancing the analysis of social surveys: the grid enabled specialist data environments
This paper describes a group of online services which are designed to support social
survey research and the production of statistical results. The 'Grid Enabled Specialist
Data Environment' (GESDE) services constitute three related systems which offer
facilities to search for, extract and exploit supplementary data and metadata concerned
with the measurement and operationalisation of survey variables. The services also offer
users the opportunity to deposit and distribute their own supplementary data resources for
the benefit of dissemination and replication of the details of their own analysis.
The GESDE services focus upon three application areas: specialist data relating to the
measurement of occupations; educational qualifications; and ethnicity (including
nationality, language, religion, national identity). They identify information resources
related to the operationalisation of variables which seek to measure each of these
concepts - examples include coding frames, crosswalk and translation files, and
standardisation and harmonisation recommendations. These resources constitute
important supplementary data which can be usefully exploited in the analysis of survey
data. The GESDE services work by collecting together as much of this supplementary
data as possible, and making it searchable and retrievable to others. This paper discusses
the current features of the GESDE services (which have been designed as part of a wider
programme of ‘e-Science’ research in the UK), and considers ongoing challenges in
providing effective support for variable-oriented statistical analysis in the social sciences

Automation in distance learning: an empirical study of unlearning and academic identity change linked to automation of student messaging within distance learning
This paper explores the unlearning and learning undertaken by adjuncts (Associate Lecturers) during the introduction of automated messaging by the university as part replacement of adjunct pastoral support for students. Automated messages were introduced by the University to standardize the student experience in terms of qualification communications, for example, reminders of forthcoming assessment deadlines. This change in communicative strategy is due to shifting power from a collegial to a managerial culture and practice in supporting distance learning students effectively. This is a university-wide initiative in a bid to improve progression and completion in an increasingly cost-focused higher education environment. The introduction of automated messaging requires adjuncts to learn new processes, and thus unlearn previous organizational routines which impacts upon their academic identity and perceived power within their roles
