An Overview of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks for the Existing Protocols and Applications
Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of two or more devices or nodes
or terminals with wireless communications and networking capability that
communicate with each other without the aid of any centralized administrator
also the wireless nodes that can dynamically form a network to exchange
information without using any existing fixed network infrastructure. And it's
an autonomous system in which mobile hosts connected by wireless links are free
to be dynamically and some time act as routers at the same time, and we discuss
in this paper the distinct characteristics of traditional wired networks,
including network configuration may change at any time, there is no direction
or limit the movement and so on, and thus needed a new optional path Agreement
(Routing Protocol) to identify nodes for these actions communicate with each
other path, An ideal choice way the agreement should not only be able to find
the right path, and the Ad Hoc Network must be able to adapt to changing
network of this type at any time. and we talk in details in this paper all the
information of Mobile Ad Hoc Network which include the History of ad hoc,
wireless ad hoc, wireless mobile approaches and types of mobile ad Hoc
networks, and then we present more than 13 types of the routing Ad Hoc Networks
protocols have been proposed. In this paper, the more representative of routing
protocols, analysis of individual characteristics and advantages and
disadvantages to collate and compare, and present the all applications or the

Multipath optimized link state routing for mobile ad hoc networks
International audienceMultipath routing protocols for Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) address the problem of scalability, security (confidentiality and integrity), lifetime of networks, instability of wireless transmissions, and their adaptation to applications. Our protocol, called MP-OLSR (MultiPath OLSR), is a multipath routing protocol based on OLSR. The Multipath Dijkstra Algorithm is proposed to obtain multiple paths. The algorithm gains great flexibility and extensibility by employing different link metrics and cost functions. In addition, route recovery and loop detection are implemented in MP-OLSR in order to improve quality of service regarding OLSR. The backward compatibility with OLSR based on IP source routing is also studied. Simulation based on Qualnet simulator is performed in different scenarios. A testbed is also set up to validate the protocol in real world. The results reveal that MP-OLSR is suitable for mobile, large and dense networks with large traffic, and could satisfy critical multimedia applications with high on time constraints
Extension of dynamic source routing protocol in mobile ad hoc network
In a large dynamic network, data can be copied anywhere to make it fault tolerant and easy accessed but there must be an efficient protocol to manage the replicas and make sure the data is consistent and high in availability with a low
communication cost. In this paper, we introduced a new protocol, named Diagonal Replication in Mesh (DRM) for data replica control protocol for a large dynamic network by using quorum and voting techniques to improve the availability and the communication cost because quorum techniques reduce the number of copies involved in reading or writing data. The protocol of DRM replicates data for large dynamic network by putting the protocol in a logical mesh structure and access consistent data by ensuring the quorum not to have a nonempty intersection quorum. To evaluate our protocol, we developed a simulation model in Java. Our results proved that DRM improves the performance of the
response time compare to Three Dimensional Grid structure Protocol (TDGS)
Energy Efficient Clustering and Routing in Mobile Wireless Sensor Network
A critical need in Mobile Wireless Sensor Network (MWSN) is to achieve energy
efficiency during routing as the sensor nodes have scarce energy resource. The
nodes' mobility in MWSN poses a challenge to design an energy efficient routing
protocol. Clustering helps to achieve energy efficiency by reducing the
organization complexity overhead of the network which is proportional to the
number of nodes in the network. This paper proposes a novel hybrid multipath
routing algorithm with an efficient clustering technique. A node is selected as
cluster head if it has high surplus energy, better transmission range and least
mobility. The Energy Aware (EA) selection mechanism and the Maximal Nodal
Surplus Energy estimation technique incorporated in this algorithm improves the
energy performance during routing. Simulation results can show that the
proposed clustering and routing algorithm can scale well in dynamic and energy
deficient mobile sensor network.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figure

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF SINGLE-PATH AND MULTIPATH MANETS ROUTING PROTOCOLS FOR DENSE AND SPARSE TOPOLOGY
Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a multi-hop wireless network in which fixed infrastructure is not used. A single-path routing protocol is mainly proposed as a single route from source node to destination node, while a multipath routing protocol uses multiple routes from the source to the destination node. This paper evaluates the performance of single-path routing protocols which are Cluster Based Routing Protocol (CBRP) and Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) along with a multipath routing protocol which is Ad hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector routing (AOMDV) in MANET environments with varying node densities (Dense and Sparse). Network Simulator (NS2) was used to evaluate the performance of these routing protocols. Our experimental simulation results show that: AOMDV protocol is better than AODV and CBRP in terms of Delay for both Dense and Sparse topologies with variant traffic sources, whereas AODV is better than CBRP and AOMDV in terms of Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) with all traffic sources in Sparse topology
Cooperative Self-Scheduling Secure Routing Protocol for Efficient Communication in MANET
In wireless transmission, a Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) contains many mobile nodes that can communicate without needing base stations. Due to the highly dynamic nature of wireless, MANETs face several issues, like malicious nodes making packet loss, high energy consumption, and security. Key challenges include efficient clustering and routing with optimal energy efficiency for Quality of Service (QoS) performance. To combat these issues, this novel presents Cooperative Self-Scheduling Secure Routing Protocol (CoS3RP) for efficient scheduling for proficient packet transmission in MANET. Initially, we used Elite Sparrow Search Algorithm (ESSA) for identifies the Cluster Head (CH) and form clusters. The Multipath Optimal Distance Selection (MODS) technique is used to find the multiple routes for data transmission. Afterward, the proposed CoS3RP transmits the packets based on each node authentication. The proposed method for evaluating and selecting efficient routing and data transfer paths is implemented using the Network simulator (NS2) tool, and the results are compared with other methods. Furthermore, the proposed well performs in routing performance, security, latency and throughput
