Combining the arts with science and technology has had many beneficial results. Computers and music have been connected for many years. Computers have been used in music composition, electronic keyboards, music publishing and digital sound processing. Artificial intelligence has been used in creating expert systems for training people in various fields. An attempt will be made to tie together expert systems for training with current computerized music technology. This research report proposes that an expert system be developed to teach piano lessons. The fields of music and artificial intelligence will be drawn upon in developing this expert system structure. While existing technology makes the choice of an electronic keyboard the logical one, using an acoustic piano will also be addressed

Designing Multi-Theater Cinema by Parametric Method in Tehran

Human beings have always been committed to various efforts throughout the history in order to transfer their beliefs and aspirations to others in different forms of expression. The reasons of establishing such a complex was not only the regional needs but due to its size and population, omits the severe lack of cultural and cinematic spaces and even it can be said that it may affect the entire city

Strategic Error as Style: Finessing the Grammar Checker

Composition studies lacks a comprehensive theory of error, one which successfully defines error in writing and offers a pedagogical response to ostensible errors that neither ignores nor pathologizes them. Electronic text-critiquing technologies offer some promise of helping writers notice and correct errors, but they are under-researched in composition and rarely well-integrated into pedagogical praxis. This research on the grammar and style checker in Microsoft Word considers the program as an electronic checklist for making decisions about what counts as an error in a given rhetorical situation. This study also offers a theory of error grounded in the idea of attention, or cognitive load, some of which an electronic checker can relieve in its areas of its greatest effectiveness, which this research quantifies. The proposed theory of error forms the basis for a pedagogy of register, understood as typified style, and establishes that error itself can be a strategic style move

Critiquing: Effective Decision Support in Time-Critical Domains (Dissertation Proposal)

The effective communication of information is an important concern in the design of an expert consultation system. Several researchers have chosen to adopt a critiquing mode, in which the system evaluates and reacts to a solution proposed by the user rather than presenting its own solution. In this proposal, I present an architecture for a critiquing system that functions in real-time, during the process of developing and executing a management plan in time-critical situations. The architecture is able to take account of and reason about multiple, interacting goals and to identify critical errors in the proposed management plan.
