    An Efficient Data Security System Using Reserve Room Approach on Digital Images for Secret Sharing

    This paper presents enhancement of d ata protection system for secret communication through common network based on reversible data concealment in encrypted images with reserve room approach. In this paper was implemented for true color RGB image and reserve room approach under multi scale decomposition. The Blue plane will be chosen for hiding the secret text data. Then image is then separated into number of blocks locally and lifting wavelet will be used to detect approximation and detailed coefficients. Then approximation part is encrypted using chaos encryption method. The proposed encryption technique uses the key to encrypt an image and not only enhances the safety of secret carrier informa tion by making the information inaccessible to any intruder having a random method. After image encryption, the data hide r will conceal the secret data into the detailed coefficients which are reserved before encryption. Although encryption achieves certain security effects, they make the secret messages unreadable and unnatural or meaningless. This system is still enhanced with encrypt messages using a symmetric key method. This is the reason a new security approach called reversible data hiding arises. It is the art of hiding the existence of data in another transmission medium to achieve secret communication. The data hidi ng technique uses the adaptive LSB replacement algorithm for concealing the secret message bits into the encrypted image. In the data extraction module, the secret data will be extracted by using relevant key for choosing the encrypted pixe ls to extract th e data. By using the decryption keys, the image and extracted text data will be extracted from encryption to get the original informatio n. Finally the performance of this proposal in encryption and data hiding will be analyzed based on image and data recovery

    Robust Watermarking through Dual Band IWT and Chinese Remainder Theorem

    CRT was a widely used algorithm in the development of watermarking methods. The algorithm produced good image quality but it had low robustness against compression and filtering. This paper proposed a new watermarking scheme through dual band IWT to improve the robustness and preserving the image quality. The high frequency sub band was used to index the embedding location on the low frequency sub band. In robustness test, the CRT method resulted average NC value of 0.7129, 0.4846, and 0.6768 while the proposed method had higher NC value of 0.7902, 0.7473, and 0.8163 in corresponding Gaussian filter, JPEG, and JPEG2000 compression test. Meanwhile the both CRT and proposed method had similar average SSIM value of 0.9979 and 0.9960 respectively in term of image quality. The result showed that the proposed method was able to improve the robustness and maintaining the image quality

    The increased popularity of digital media has raised serious concerns over its security related issues. Security attacks in the form of eavesdropping, masquerading and tampering and in many other forms is very common nowadays. Data hiding is one of the emerging techniques that aim to provide for security by hiding secret information into the multimedia contents by altering some nonessential components in the host or cover file. Security of data is very important in data communication. Everyday a lot of information is transferred from one user to another on internet and so the possibility of data theft also increases. Steganography provides a solution for the security of information during data transmission. Steganography is the science which makes the valuable information invisible to prevent it from unauthorized user. A steganography system, in general, is expected to meet three key requirements, namely, imperceptibility of embedding, accurate recovery of embedded information, and large payload (payload is the bits that get delivered to the end user at the destination). So in this project image stegnography technique is proposed to hide data in image in the transform domain using CMD approach. The data in any format (MP3 or WAV or any other type) is encrypted and carried by the image without revealing the existence to anybody.
