    The technical, logistical, and ecological challenges associated with offshore wind development necessitate an extensive site selection analysis. Technical parameters such as wind resource, logistical concerns such as distance to shore, and ecological considerations such as fisheries all must be evaluated and weighted, in many cases with incomplete or uncertain data. Making such a critical decision with severe potential economic and ecologic consequences requires a strong decision-making approach to ultimately guide the site selection process. This paper proposes a type-2 neutrosophic number (T2NN) fuzzy based multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model for offshore wind farm (OWF) site selection. This approach combines the advantages of neutrosophic numbers sets, which can utilize uncertain and incomplete information, with a multi-attributive border approximation area comparison that provides formulation flexibility and easy calculation. Further, this study develops and integrates a techno-economic model for OWFs in the decision-making. A case study is performed to evaluate and rank five proposed OWF sites off the coast of New Jersey. To validate the proposed model, a comparison against three alternative T2NN fuzzy based models is performed. It is demonstrated that the implemented model yields the same ranking order as the alternative approaches. Sensitivity analysis reveals that changing criteria weightings does not affect the ranking order

    Sustainable supplier selection (SSS) is recognized as a prime aim in supply chain because of its impression on profitability, adorability, and agility of the organization. This work introduces a multi-phase intuitionistic fuzzy preference-based model with which decision experts are authorized to choose the suitable supplier using the sustainability "triple bottom line (TBL)" attributes. To solve this issue, an intuitionistic fuzzy gained and lost dominance score (IF-GLDS) approach is proposed using the developed IF-entropy. To make better use of experts' knowledge and fully represent the uncertain information, the evaluations of SSS are characterized in the form of intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS). To better distinguish fuzziness of IFSs, new entropy for assessing criteria weights is proposed with the help of an improved score function. By considering the developed entropy and improved score function, a weight-determining process for considered criterion is presented. A case study concerning the iron and steel industry in India for assessing and ranking the SSS is taken to demonstrate the practicability of the developed model. The efficacy of the developed model is certified with the comparison by diverse extant models

    Behavioral factors in hotel location: A study of hotels from Opole Province in Poland

    The choice of location is one of the key economic decisions for hotel owners. In modern economics traditional premises are increasingly questioned, and assumptions are often made involving imperfect competition, limited rationality of behavior, and the incomplete scope of information or the inability to use it effectively. This is also reflected in the theory of location within which a behavioral trend has been developed assuming the occurrence of non-economic, subjective factors in making location decisions. The aim of the paper is to identify behavioral factors in hotel location in Opolskie Province in Poland. The paper uses four main research methods: literature review, documentation, diagnostic survey and individual case studies. The study results confirm the importance of the behavioral approach in the process of selecting a location for independent hotels in Opolskie Province, involving the choice of secondary or primary locations. In the latter case, the decision-making process is based entirely on behavioral factors or is supplemented by them in situations where an objective approach is not connected with decision-making certainty. Behavioral factors such as intuition, emulation, experience, place of origin and residence, individual cases and the influence of others should be regarded as highly significant

    Neutrosophic set has been derived from a new branch of philosophy, namely Neutrosophy. Neutrosophic set is capable of dealing with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information. Neutrosophic set approaches are suitable to modeling problems with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information in which human knowledge is necessary, and human evaluation is needed. Neutrosophic set theory was proposed in 1998 by Florentin Smarandache, who also developed the concept of single valued neutrosophic set, oriented towards real world scientific and engineering applications. Since then, the single valued neutrosophic set theory has been extensively studied in books and monographs introducing neutrosophic sets and its applications, by many authors around the world. Also, an international journal - Neutrosophic Sets and Systems started its journey in 2013. Single valued neutrosophic sets have found their way into several hybrid systems, such as neutrosophic soft set, rough neutrosophic set, neutrosophic bipolar set, neutrosophic expert set, rough bipolar neutrosophic set, neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set, etc. Successful applications of single valued neutrosophic sets have been developed in multiple criteria and multiple attribute decision making.     Wybór lokalizacji hotelu jest jedną z kluczowych decyzji gospodarczych. We współczesnej ekonomii coraz częściej kwestionuje się klasyczne czynniki, za podstawy uznając niedoskonałą konkurencję, ograniczoną racjonalność zachowań oraz pozyskiwanie informacji w niepełnym zakresie lub brak umiejętności ich wykorzystania. Znalazło to również odzwierciedlenie w teorii lokalizacji, w ramach której powstał nurt behawioralny. Jego zwolennicy zakładają występowanie pozaekonomicznych, subiektywnych czynników podejmowania decyzji lokalizacyjnych. Wciąż nierozpoznane empirycznie są jednak mieszczące się w tym nurcie przesłanki decydujące o wyborze lokalizacji hoteli. W kontekście tak sformułowanych luk badawczych celem artykułu jest próba identyfikacji behawioralnych czynników lokalizacji hoteli z województwa opolskiego. W pracy wykorzystano cztery główne metody badawcze: przegląd literatury, dokumentacyjną, sondażu diagnostycznego oraz indywidualnych przypadków. Uzyskane wyniki badań potwierdziły istotne znaczenie podejścia behawioralnego w procesie wyboru lokalizacji hoteli niezależnych z województwa opolskiego. Wiąże się to z wyborem lokalizacji wtórnej lub pierwotnej. W tym drugim przypadku, w sytuacji gdy zastosowanie podejścia obiektywnego nie wiązało się z uzyskaniem pewności, że postanowienia są słuszne, czynniki behawioralne odgrywały najważniejszą rolę w procesie decyzyjnym lub stanowiły jego uzupełnienie. Za kluczowe w tym kontekście należy uznać takie czynniki behawioralne, jak: intuicja, naśladownictwo, doświadczenie, miejsce pochodzenia i zamieszkania, przypadek oraz wpływ osób znaczących
